Bren's Diary

You can do it Bren!!! You've done fab so far :)
Emma x

Thanks both of you, thoughts of weigh in tomorrow are keeping me strong! Drinking a lot of water today too - and probably swimming in it later, if the rain is anything to go by!

Soooooooo cold today. Not sure if it's just me (possibly hatching something - I've had a tickly throat all week) or just because it actually IS cold. I had 1/2 pack soup and 1/2 pack shake (for 'dessert') tonight, which was a nice change. That was about 6pm - I'm now starving again! Also shattered, so I think a nice big mug of hot water and bed are needed. Weigh in tomorrow - fingers crossed for at least a couple of lbs off, I don't feel I've had a good week at all, what the cookie disaster last Friday and a couple of days of having 4 sachets instead of 3 (better than cheating I suppose). I just don't know why I am SO hungry - genuine tummy rumbling hunger, not just cravings. Grump.

Still hungry. Still no TOTM. Am starting to get a little paranoid. Will see how I feel in a couple of weeks...

2.2lbs off this week, so now 173.2lbs (12st 5). Soooooo close to my 3 stone marker!! MUST stay 100% this week to have any chance at ALL of meeting that by next week. At 169.6lbs I will have lost exactly 3 stone; I will have a BMI of 27.4 so will be closer to 'normal' than to 'obese'; I will have lost almost 20% of my original bodyweight. I should be a comfortable size 14 all over. The end will feel like it's in sight!!

9 weeks and 38lbs down, 7 weeks and 20lbs to go. Gulp!

OMG Bren, might you be p8888888? You sound bit worried......probably just LT playing with your body and your mind.

I keep wanting to eat too, for no other reason than I'm bloody freezing all the time unless I'm in bed with the electric blanket on!

You are soooooo close to goal Bren, stay with it:D

I bloody better not be, not least of all because I carry a genetic condition and have been advised to only have IVF  Seriously though, we are 'responsible' but no contraceptive is 100%... I'm pretty sure it's just LT playing tricks. I might panic in a couple of weeks though!

I have decided to 'allow' myself to do sole source plus a maximum of 2 days a week, if I really feel genuinely (tummy-rumbling!) hungry. If I don't feel I need to, I won't.

Yesterday I was very active, and I think that made me hungrier! So when my family had chip-shop fish and chips, I ordered a piece of fish then scraped all the batter off, and served it with some veg. It was SO filling! I didn't truly do SS+ because for that you're still meant to have your 3 shakes plus small meal, and I was so stuffed after that I didn't want my 3rd shake. My meal was only 150 cals so I still ended up on around 450 cals for the whole day.

Back to SS today! I still have 3 LT products left (2xchicken soup, which I have to say I am not keen on, and a vanilla which I love) so will probably have 1/2 soup, 1/2 vanilla for lunch and the same for tea tomorrow, then split my last soup 50/50 over another 2 days. Makes it bearable to have half and follow it up with half of something tasty!

Sounds pretty sensible Bren and you're so close to goal that you'll doubtless continue to lose anyway.

I feel hungrier the days that I go to the gym....which somewhat defeats the object :(

I know! I think that's why I was so hungry yesterday - I'd taken the horse out for a 2 hour ride, mostly as a pretty fast pace so lots of calories burned!

I really hope I can make my October goal of another 12.2lbs off - I'll be 5lbs off goal then  it seems somehow so far off and out of reach, and yet on the other hand the last 9 weeks have FLOWN by - I am sure the next 7 will too!

Definitely hungrier after being active. I went to the gym this morning and was starving after. Good luck Bren with the SS plus as and when you need it. Sounds like a good plan to me, when you are so close to the end :)

xx

Thank you Jayne!

Still hungry today, nearly caved and had a 4th shake, but managed to resist. Going to have a big mug of hot water now and go to bed. Tomorrow is another day - CD weigh in and new sachets tomorrow night!

Thanks Daisy - I have no idea how or why, but according to my CD consultant's scales, I've lost 6lbs! I know I haven't really, but last week when my scales said I was 12st 7lbs in the morning, hers said I was 12st 12lbs in the evening which was a bit demoralising. This time mine say 12st 5lbs in the morning (so I know I've only lost 2lbs) but hers said 12st 6lbs in the evening - I guess I could have been retaining water from the day last week (still wasn't back in ketosis at that point either) but it was nice to see anyway.

Waist is 33.5" - might be unrealistic, but I'm setting myself a 3 week challenge to get my waist down to 31.5" (with the aid of sit-ups as well as diet!) so we'll see. I've lost 3/4" off my waist for the last 2 weeks on diet alone, so if I kept the same rate of loss up I'd have a waist of 31.25" in 3 weeks, so I don't think I'm setting myself up to fail.

Sit ups going ok, food stuff going ok - I have had my last LT shake today, so now am 100% CD! I had plain porridge this morning but added some cinnamon - LUSH. I had a bit of a wobble at the petrol station tonight as I was really late out of work, starving hungry, and had to stop for fuel. Nearly caved at the chocolate while I was queueing to pay, but thought about my CD chocolate bar at home and resisted :D

I was 12st 4.6lbs on the scales this morning - getting SO close to the 3 stone mark!

Well, I took some photos. When I first looked at them, I thought how horribly fat I look, and how little change from the ones I took 2 weeks into the diet, when I had lost exactly 14lbs and weighed 14st 1.6lbs.

Only when I tonight's photos, 9.5 weeks in and having lost exactly 39lbs, I can see a difference!

Blue top 12th August, purple top 5th October.
