You really are so close to goal now Cookie. My losses arent great either and I find it really is a struggle when the scales dont say what I want them to. Well done on hanging in there and sticking to plan.

Thanks luv,

I hope we get there soon - I think with exante you get spoilt by and so used to the first few months of fast losses that when things stall it seems soooooo slow - and I guess also when you are reading through all the posts and you see people losing 3 or 4 stone in the same time as you've lost maybe 5 or 6lbs - whilst being 100% 99.8 % of the time you start to think "what am I doing wrong?" and get a
tad frustrated, but - cest la vie! Its just the nature of the beast I guess - the long haul at the end, but we WILL touch down eventually!! (we have to run out of blubbery fuel eventually).

I managed to keep off here for all of 4 and a half hours - which is impressive given I have had my laptop in front of me!

I have logged back on because the ritz biscs and philli downstairs are tempting me......I WILL NOT DO IT.....so gonna post on here till I know it is safe!

It really is funny how the things that tempt us (well me anyway) change over the course of this diet. Before it would icky-gooey sweets and puddings and of course the old choc. Now, I had absolutely no desire to touch any of the Easter eggs I was given - just gave them on without even a second thought - but if you were to put a plate of cream crackers with butter or marge on, or some crusty bread in front of me I would be slatherin all over the place!!!

Anyway temptation has gone now.

Today I have had a biggest loser choc crunch bar (has anyone else noticed that they have changed the recipe - much preferred the taste of old ones + the new have more carbs in - 3g extra per bar), followed by half a hot choc mint shake for lunch. I've been trying to up the liquids - managed 3 cups mint tea, 2 cups of oolong and about a litre of water so far. As soon as the chest clears, Im looking forward to stashing loads of bottles of water in the freeze and having a constant supply of icy cold water......the summer months are so much more doable....thankfully!!

Lifes all a bit up in the air at the mo - I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna be up north - anything from a couple of days to another week or so. In a way I wish I could just stay up here forever - it is strange when you have stepped out of your normal life and routine for a while - especially when surrounded by family and friends - I just kinda want to run away from the grind of London life and all responsabilities and my usual life in general!!

OK, I have to snap out of it - it will be good to get back to some sort of normal routine, get my son back into nursery, get back on top of work etc......

I don't really know why I'm spewing out such random stuff.......it all started with those ritz biscuits.....

I'm off to get some work done.....gonna try and see if I can get an extension cable and have my laptop out in the garden....the sunshine is just to tempting to resist now!!!!!

lots of luv,

Wow, it sounds like you've got so much going on Cookie. You're doing really well to stick to the diet in the middle of it all, and nice work resisting the call of those Ritz crackers. As you say, it's weird what different things call to us.

Most importantly though, as the others have said, don't worry about trying to keep up with everything here, we'll still be around to support & encourage you. The important thing is doing whatever it is you need to look after yourself and to get through everything that's going on.

Hopefully you'll find a nice summer top soon that just calls to you and looks fabulous to give you a boost :)

Yep up north is definitely the place to be!! Much better than London.....then again, I am slightly biased!!!

Im having the opposite problem right now Cookie. Before starting dieting I wouldnt thank you for chocolate or sweet stuff. Now its all I want to eat.

How are you doing Cookie? been thinking of you. Sending big hugs your way xxx

Hello people.

Well the only chance that I seem to get to post on here at the mo seems to be when I am sat on a train!! I am currently sat on the train back down south - so gonna try and make the most of the chance to catch up on threads on here - that is if my son will let me - he is either amusing or driving mad the rest of the carriage with his observations and musings on life the universe and everything in it....Oh to be 4 again!!

Diet wise - I am still sticking to having 2.5 - 3 packs and a low carb (usually fishey) snacky meal. I'm probably going to reduce it to 2 packs and add in an extra meal in the next few days - I don't know, we shall see. I guess it will depend on what the scales say when I get home! I'm a little apprehensive about getting on those scales tom for weigh in - I am not expecting a huge loss but am gonna be seriously gutted if I've lost nothing or its tiny!!

Time permitting I am gonna really try and up the exercise a little over the next few days - I think I will feel much better for it. I will try and get up 30 mins earlier and do at least 30 mins first thing in the morning - get the oxygen flowing. Thats the plan at least.

I also MUST MUST MUST up the water - I am getting really slack on that front - not a good thing!

Anyway - Im gonna go and catch up with some threads now - YAAAAAAY!!

lots of love and happy cookie vibes
