Daily Achievable Goals

Sending hugs and hope you're thinking of happy memories xx

In answer to everyone.

I was crossing the road, using the pedestrian crossing.
Traffic stopped when the lights changed in my favour.
The cyclist decided it didn`t apply to him and ploughed into me.
I went down like a sack of spuds. Luckily I didn`t hit my head.

Spent hours in hospital waiting for an x-ray!!
There`s nothing broken but I`m really badly bruised and
Am finding walking difficult. It took 30 mins to get out of bed this morning!!
I`m using a walking stick to get about my flat. Luckily we live on
the ground floor so there`s no stairs to negotiate.

Thanks for the good wishes!!:)

Forgot to post yesterday, but I completed my goal by the skin of my teeth! I chugged down the last half litre as I was going to bed! Daft idea really, because it just meant I had to get up to go to the loo in the night.

Today's goal will be... to do 20 minutes on my bike.

Feckin cyclists, I'm a cyclist & this really irritates me. I hope you gave them what for, hopefully you'll start to feel better soon x

((Hugs)) for both Acc and GrannieAnnie (don't worry GA - I won't hug you hard).

As I'm sure many of you know, the Times newspaper is running a campaign for safer conditions for cyclists which is great, but it's a two-way thing because cyclists also need to respect and look out for other road-users. I've lost count of the number of cyclists I see with no lights/reflective clothing when it's dark, ignoring red lights, cycling the wrong way down a one way street etc. As is so often the case, a few thoughtless people give the rest a bad reputation.

Sorry - rant over.

Thanks for that Patty.
I see what you mean. Unfortunately a few cyclists don`t respect other road users.
Even us pedestrians are also road users.
Where I live in a certain university city, there`s a very high number of
cyclists. I`m not saying for a second that they are all the same, but a lot
do behave as though the rules of the road are for cars, buses and lorries.

I picked up my daughter from work the other night & as we pulled out I just missed a cyclist, the reason, he was dressed in black, no lights or reflective clothing & it was dark, grrrrrrr. I've got a reflective coat & hat & it's amazing the amount of cars that move as they see me coming.

If you had knocked over the cyclist, the police would have been called
for you to at least answer for your actions.
Maybe as well as measures to protect the cyclists,
the should also be rules on what they wear!!
Lights, reflective gear and functioning lights
would be a help.
I remember there was a safety campaign on tv on this matter.
It advised everyone, not just cyclists on the dangers
of not being seen in the dark.
Maybe it should return

Oh I agree and that is really what I was trying to say. I know your city - I was born there and DD went to uni there - so I'm well aware of the problems. My particular bugbear is where cyclists are on pathways, either legitimately or not, and coming from behind me. They get cross with me because I don't get out of their way - they need to remember that some people are deaf!

Anyway, I hope you're soon feeling a lot less bruised and sore.

Today's goal for me is to be nice to people, not a nice day at work yesterday & I still feel pi$$ed off, yesterday it affected my mood, well today its not!!!!

I know the day isn't over with yet, but I'm doing well. I've had two challenges & I dealt with them with a smile!!!

tomorrow I'm doing without caffeine :D

I've just been googl Ing daily goals & 1 was to write a letter to your future self, which I thought was quite a good idea,

Done :D
Tomorrow is to have the morning to myself
sw group then a mooch around the shop and finally off to the hairdresser and a manicure :D

Ooh that sounds lush! Enjoy :D

Today failed so tomorrow a 100% day, try, try, and try again ;) or my fave Do or Do Not, There Is No Try :p

That sounds like a really nice day. Hope you have good news at group!

I've stayed on plan so far today, but I'm not going to say achieved as there are still a couple more hours to get through.

Turning to tomorrow, am I allowed two goals - one a SW one and one non-SW?

If so, my SW goal is to not allow one meal off plan to become an excuse for the whole day to be off plan (I'm out at a Burn's Night dinner and it's take what comes) and my non-SW goal is to do some knitting so that my current project doesn't become yet another UFO.

Right im setting a goal for Monday in advance;/)
to put some stuff on ebay I need a sort out desperately and I'm going to achieve this positive thinking haha X

Your daily goal can be either SW or non SW it doesn't matter, it's up to you:D

Hope it doesn't sound selfish

Not at all, I think its important to have 'me' time.

I've realised mine is going to be harder than what I anticipated, I've no caffeine free tea in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do have soya milk so will drink that today or just water.
