Sorry if this is a bit long but I have just a bit of time. Found some of the below but added a lot myself as to how I motivate myself.
1. Learn to Accept Self
Learn to love yourself for who you are, not who you wish to be. Acknowledge that you need to improve your health or weight, but believe that you will do what you can to the best you can possibly be. The constant pressure and stress of trying to turn yourself into someone you physically cannot be will stop, and it’ll be an enormous weight off the shoulders, you’ll be surprised how this can drive your motivation to make improvements. When we understand and appreciate our bodies we are able to work with them, not against them.
ONE CANNOT MOTIVATE ONESELF OR BE MOTIVATED BY OTHERS IF ONE DOES WANT TO BE MOTIVATED
2. Focus On Positives Not Negatives
If you don’t reach a goal when you want just focus on the fact that you will get there in time.
Remember how far you’ve got, not how far you need to be (unless of course you fail on day 1).
If you slip on one day don’t worry, just go back with more vigour to improve.
Remind yourself that a worthwhile pay-off lies ahead in an improved you.
Remember the diet is improving your health and will probably lengthen your life.
3. Set Goals
Setting goals is all good and well but setting unrealistic goals and not reaching them can be the biggest single contributing factor to failing, while on the other hand setting realistic goals and reaching them is the single biggest contributing factor to not failing and it is this single biggest contribution that has the highest degree of motivation for all of us. Seeing the goals reached gives us all self belief and an unbelievable boost of motivation.
Once goals are reached pat yourself on the back before getting congratulated by anyone else
