Total Solution Double Trouble...The Exante Duo!

4st 2, I want your diet ;)

Haha!!! I re-read that post as well before submitting it! (it must have been the excitement of getting Sky upstairs ;))

Yeah, I'd love to be in the 12s too...but I've set so many goals in the past, and not been able to acheive them, so I'd rather aim low and then be really chuffed when I do even better :)

Hey Alex, hope you're ok. How's your day been??

Just re-read your diary as need some motivation...scales are not moving for me!!! Been so good this week but I know the reason why!

Hoping for a good loss on 22nd as I think it will be a small loss on Tuesday x

So sorry I haven't replied sooner Shelly - I've been checking minis every now and then, but I've been spending every spare minute scouring the internet for Christmas presents!
I'm determined not to leave everything until the last minute this year. Christmas is going to be our first opportunity since we started Exante in September to go out, socialise, eat and drink, so there's no way I want to be traipsing around the shops on Christmas eve for last minute presents!

The diet is still going well though - The Man lost 4lbs last weigh in and I lost 3.5lbs. We were both really pleased with those losses this far into the diet.
The Man's hoping to lose 3.5lbs this week, which would take him to a loss of 5 stone exactly. I'd like to lose 3lbs, which would take me to 3.5 stone exactly. I'm not getting my hopes up too much though - usually I have a slow week when I'm approaching another milestone!

The good news is that I'm finally in the 13s! Can't quite get my head around the fact that I've erased about the last 3 years of weight wain in 11 weeks  Just another 1 stone 4ish until I get down to my all-time lowest weight, although it might be a while before I get there as Christmas will probably set me back a bit (hopefully not too much!)

Well that's enough rambling for me...
Hope everyone else is well :)
x

Yayyyy well done on your 3.5 loss AND getting in the next stone bracket :woohoo:

Catching me up now girlie ;)

Wow well done to you both!! You're doing brilliantly! Enjoy Christmas...I know I will!

You are so positive and it helps me reading positive diaries x thanks hun x

Aw thank you Shelly... this diet helps me stay positive because the results motivate me so much :D Although, you didn't see me the week I only lost 1.5lbs...it was tears and tantrums in bucketloads!

Lol, I wish! Although i'm getting there....
The man and I have given each other present suggestions so that part isn't too difficult. And I do buy for friends, but we do a similar thing (re present ideas) - I know it takes a bit of the magic away, but Christmas is expensive enough without buying people presents they don't want or won't use!
I do wonder whether we should just do some kind of secret santa type thing, because it does get expensive (I buy for 7 friends as well as the usual relatives, godchildren etc.) but it is nice to give and receive some lovely things at Christmas that we perhaps wouldn't buy ourselves.

Anyway, it's weigh in day today...and the result is 2.5lbs for both of us. I'm slightly frustrated that I didn't get that extra half a pound (to make 3.5st exactly), and The Man is still a pound away from his next milestone too.
Neither of us are too gutted though...2.5 is slightly underwhelming for The Man, as he's used to losing between 4-5lbs each week, but we've done this long enough to know that it all evens out in the end, and with any luck, we'll get there next week :)

The good news is that I tried a pair of size 16 jeans on last night, and they fitted :D I know that I'm not really a size 16 (more an 18-20) but they're definitely wearable and it was a great feeling :)

Just need to start looking for a dress for the works do now! I've already started looking for some big stomach-holding-in pants in anticipation! :p

P.S I'm catching you up now Ali....13st 10 now ;)

Well done another 2.5lbs gone for good, I better watch out or you will be passing me!!

Just noticed we are the same height too  you got a competition on ;) :p

Have a good Sunday and a great week xx

Well done Alex & The Man, you both are a huge inspiration to couples (and singles) everywhere.

But tell me, what are you doing to the poor man to have melted 5 stone off him???:eek::eek:

The mind boggles!!! :D:D:D

Keep going strong, you are both definitely good for each other ;)

Have another great week,

Conor

Hey alex, they are great losses...wow!!

I also have 1 unsupportive work colleague. I really get on with her but she can say mean things. I showed her some wedding dresses and her comment was 'you would look nice in that if you were slim' Just cos she's an 8!!! Then when I first started this she would eat chips in front of me and say 'mmm...these are soo nice'
I just don't discuss what I'm doing now. Any way, enough about her..

You'll have a great loss next week. Do you have any AAM weeks coming up?? Or work 'do's'??

I think that definitely sounds like a challenge! I just hope I can give you a good run for your money! :p

:8855:I really have no idea what you mean Conor....his success is all down to good old Exante :innocent0002:

Joking aside - thanks for your kind words :D A few short weeks ago, I never thought that we would turn out to be an inspiration to anyone! We're not perfect by any means...we have the occasional protein based snack, we have skimmed milk in our tea, and we dream about pizza constantly, but we keep plodding on, keeping each other on track, and it seems to be working so far!

  that's an awful thing for your colleague to say!! At least my unsupportive colleague isn't quite so blatant!!
I think my colleague's problem is jealously...she'd love to have the willpower to really tackle her weight, but she doesn't want to change her lifestyle.
Maybe your colleague is jealous about another aspect of your personality/life, so she's subconsciously trying to undermine you in other ways? I know it doesn't make it easy to be on the receiving end though!

I don't have any AAMs planned until my works do on 10th December, which will be more of a blow-out than an AAM!
I'll be coming out of ketosis because I want to drink, but then I'll either get back on TS or WS until 18th December when The Man and I plan to break for Christmas (hopefully starting Exante again on 2/3 Jan....all being well!)

I ordered a dress for the 'do' today from Wallis at lunchtime. The XL was out of stock, so I went for a L instead. I just hope it'll be ok with some big knickers!
I already have sparkly shoes and a bag that would match, so it'd be the perfect choice. AND it has sleeves, so for the first time in years, I won't have to wear a cardie to hide my bingo wings!
Wish me luck!

Brilliant losses Alex, continued success to you both. You'll turn some heads at your Company party on Dec 10th.

Best wishes,

Conor

Has the dress arrived? Can't wait to see the pics. xx

Yeah, the dress has arrived...but it was waaaaay too small :( It was literally straining at the seams and that was with the zip undone!
So it was back to square one for operation dress-hunt...until today.
The Man is living just outside Cannock at the moment, and there's this warehouse-type store nearby called New Life that sells stock cast-offs from the major high street stores (some of it is damaged/faulty but a lot seems to be in perfect condition, just without the tags on). It's run by a charity that raises money for disabled children, so it's all for a good cause as well as being a bargain goldmine if you get lucky! (most things like tops and jeans are are £2.99, with jumpers and some posher jeans at £4.99 and dresses at £6.99-£9.99 usually)
Anyway, I nipped there this morning, and tried on a few different frocks. Most of them looked hideous, but I did buy one. It's a plain black lace shift-type dress, with see-through lace sleeves (there are lots of them about at the moment). I wasn't really sure whether it'd look like a pair of lace curtains....but I think it's growing on me, and I have plenty of bold and sparkly jewellery to make it a bit more interesting! And what's better is that it was only £6.99 rather than £50-odd for the Wallis one!
I did order another couple from Simply Be last night in desperation, so unless I prefer one of them when they arrive, I'll be sticking to this one. I'm definitely not doing any more looking after this anyway!

I've also had another fashion breakthrough this week - I've worn my first ever pair of skinny-ish jeans! (they're not spray-on tight, but they're still skinnies I think) At first I felt really weird in them, but I don't think they look too bad, and I'm getting more confident wearing them now! I know it's a little thing, but it does feel good to be able to wear something that I've always completely ruled out because of my size!

Forgot to say, it's weigh-in day today! The Man lost 2.5lbs and I lost 2lbs.
Think it's really starting to slow down a bit for both of us now, probably not helped by the fact that we've both become a bit more 'relaxed' with the rules as the weeks have gone on. We never eat anything that might risk us coming out of Ketosis, but we do have quite a few brews, and the odd nibble on some chicken/ham or whatever. Sugar-free jelly has also made it into the repetoire recently, so I suppose we are bending the rules quite a bit.

I did consider going 'back to basics' from today, but I think with Christmas so close, I'll just plod along as I am, take whatever losses I get, and then come back with renewed motivation and determination in the new year (no doubt feeling sheepish at my Christmas greed/weight gain!).
x

Yay goodbye bootcuts :D. Well done on another 2lbs, even if it is slow with a few cheats it's still coming off :)

What a great place the warehouse is! So reasonable and for charity. Excellent for in-between sizes you don't want to spend too much money on :).

Yeah it really is great...I'm trying to stick to buying clothes from there, charity shops and Primark (at a push) until I get to a goal I'm happy with.
It's tricky though - there are so many lovely autumnal colours in the shops at the moment. It's hard to resist!

Well I'm feeling like complete and utter cr@p at the moment to be honest. I seem to have come down with a cold overnight, that just gets worse as the day goes on. It started with a sore throat, but now I have a headache, dripping nose and earache to go alongside it!
I also feel like things are really getting on top of me at the moment - the housework is piling up, I have washing to do, Christmas shopping to get, Ebay parcels to send, a broken mobile phone to get repaired, trousers to turn up, emails to reply to.....the list goes on.
I just feel like lying down in a dark room and not doing any of it (preferably with a large pizza for company)!

Sorry for moaning on...it's just been one of those weeks I'm afraid:cry:

I have the exact same symptoms but funny thing is I don't want to eat, don't fancy anything. Not even a pizza or curry :( Will have to force myself to have my last shake now before I go to bed. I have managed about 4L water plus teas and coffee and my whisky lemsip which made me feel really drunk!
Hope I sweat it out overnight as I'm back to work in the morning.

I think I just want food for the comfort rather than the taste actually...it's not like I feel well enough to enjoy anything!
Really wish I was still tucked up in bed, but instead I'm at my desk, shivering, even though I'm wearing a top, two cardigans and a scarf!

How you feeling Alex? Hope you're getting better. I took the day off today and watched a DVD did nothing else.
Back to work tomorrow. I'll get this 2lb off now that I'm not taking any more lemsip! Lol 12's here we come ;)
