Flubster in the house

Day 5 - Saturday PM and I am amazed at myslf that I got this far I kinda had to remember to eat , and had loads of energy - I was telling my mother earlier I actually *feel* better than I did last week when in stodgendom, hmmm, dunno what thats about:confused:

This evening was a true test of my metal you see I make a mean pizza - sat nights in our house is Pizza night so I have just made 3 pizzas two blanco's spinach alfredo and fish, cream freich and parsely and a large kiddy pepperoni, I sat in the same room while my family ate, drank my water then made my thai chicken soup ( added some chile de arbol flakes so it felt "weekendy") and ate it - I think that is my ultimat test yet!!! I have really suprised myself - who knew?:cool:

Well done - that is a true test of willpower and you won big time! :) hope sunday will be as straightforward x
 
Thanx for the info re chile flakes Flubster, they sound delish. Well done as well on the pizza avoidance. Sometimes I find feeding other folk whilst abstaining myself makes me feel really virtuous so I almost enjoy it (maybe I'm just weird?) Other times just smelling the food nearly kills me. Lol. X

I'm with you on that FW - when I'm doing VLCD I turn into a feeder! I take great joy in feeding everybody else up whilst I lose it lol!! :)
 
Yeah, gives me a nice warm glow. Mind you I come from a good old northern family where apparently showing people you love them can only be achieved by feeding them and making sure they have seconds!! Prob wldn't have a weight issue in the first place if my parents were from L.A. and had brought me up on mung beans and wheatgrass shakes. Lol.

Sunday - day 5 - I *have* been hungry didnt slip, but still struggled today, went shopping so have some catch up on my water AND went into Starbucks and was pissed off with a paltry espresso shot in place of my caramel coffee light frappucino - :grumble: Bah!

Anyway scale check thir morning but not getting bent outta shape about- it'll come of xxx

SO this is Day errrrrrm 7? (They are all blending into one) and checking the scales this morning 1lb off - yesterday I STS so that's 7lb in 7 days with official weigh in due tomorrow morning (started a Tuesday) so I get 7 days clean


Pleased with half a stone but think in comparison its kinda low considering I have stuck rigidly to the plan - havent cheated once - only thing I can think of is that the bars are a contributor but I aint giving em up - they are my only treat lol - so if I am a little slow and steady so be it

I keep doing comparisons as well but we r all moving in the same direction albeit at our individual pace (reminder to myself first)

TWhe bars r my treat as well :D I Might go a bit crazy if I had nothing to chew on for the no of months we r planning to stay on exante :banghead: Hehe

Allll the very best for ur first WI tomm. I am sure u gonna be so pleased with how well u have done! I remember before I started I thot I hope I make it thru week 1 100% and look at uu, u have got there ! YaaaY U !!!

Flubster r u mad!! :crazy:If someone had said you could lose half a stone in a week would you have thought that was a bad thing? Everybody's different and 7lb is brilliant. My WI is also tomorrow and my monitoring puts me about the same loss as you. I have stayed 100% TS all week but prob don't do enough exercise - I'm working up to it. X

Well Wed is my bairns birthday - he turns 13 and two weeks later its my daughters 18th so tables are booked and it'll be low carb!!! but I am scared
 
I agree with the bar thing, they may slow us up a little but it keeps me going too...

Good luck with the celebrations. I know wot you mean about worrying. Whilst we want to go and be included in the socialising it is scary having to make wise choices and be strong instead of having the guess work taken out of it for you with a measured pack. X
 
You will do fine Flubster just stay low carb and there will be loads you can eat, i am sure it won't effect your Weight loss xx

Well I weighed this morning 5 am and did my first business trip on exante - en route packin a shake and bar

I stayed the same again this morning - dont understand it but hey ho my weight loss week 1 was therefore 7 lbs mind you i didnt exercise so we'll see :)
 
Stick with it Flubster. I'm in the same boat weighed this am and have put on 2lb. :confused::( Only thing I did differently yesterday was had more coke zero and bouillion so I'm hoping it's fluid retention from the salt or something or dodgy scales. I know I have been 100% and I know this diet works so I am not going to let it throw me off track. Doesn't help my resolve much tho - still I know being a daily weigher has it's ups and downs. I am going to make the day before my weekly WI a coke and bouillion free day to see if it makes a difference. I bet you find that you suddenly have a good loss and you're bod is just keeping you in suspense! Stick with it. X :)
 
Yeah, you ar right Footie, I have splenda sweetner tablets and was even thinking of ditching those and th bars, but I need to be more patitent I bet yours is the sodium in the boullion for sure , we just have to remain resolved
