Goals and Challenges - Ideas?

Hi folks :)

As you can see from my signature, I'm trying to set myself treats and challenges at certain milestones on my weight loss journey. However, I'm not happy with the treats I've set myself, and I'd like a bit more variety in the challenges, so I thought I'd ask you all what treats and challenges you have set or would set if you were doing similar?

Oh, and the main problem I'm having is wanting to set myself food treats (pizza, lunch, dinner) at every milestone!!

I set my targets at every stone lose and going into different BMI catergorys.

I got a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet for xmas and I'm going to buy myself a charm for every stone I lose.
Once i get under 200lbs (onederland) I'd like to treat myself to a pedicure which I have never had.
I like setting myself non-weight related goals, since I'm not just doing this to lose weight, but also to become healthier and change my lifestyle. So goals like "I will eat at least 500 grams of fruits and veggies a day" and "I will exercise at least 3 times a week" work for me. If you want something that you can sort of cross off your list, it might be something like "Exercise 5 times a week, 1 hour per day" or "Walk 2 hours straight", whatever you'd like.

I like those sorts of goals much more, since one's weight can fluctuate even if you're "being good" so setting goals that aren't necessarily about how good your diet and exercise has been are not good for me at all if you get what I mean? I have a tendency to get discouraged if I just keep looking at the scales, because my weight does not come off consistently no matter how much I limit my calories or exercise.

My treats will be stuff like getting a massage, or getting a new luxurious hair product and things like that - but I kinda pamper myself with stuff like that as I go a long so I don't do it just to reward myself! :D
Think this is a great idea! I will definitely be doing this. I love the idea that you can still 'win' by completing a goal, even if you don't lose much in a particular week. ;)


One day at a time :)
My short & long term goals & rewards are:

1. Get to 15st - then I get my hair cut :)
2. Manage 30mins on the cross trainer in one go - then I buy myself something to the value of £15 (not food!)
3. Get into size 16 trousers - then I get myself a new pair of jeans :)
4. Get to 14st - get a mani/pedi :)
5. Manage 45mins on the cross trainer - Get some new gym clothes
6. Get to 13st - spend £50 on little things in Ikea!
7. Get into a size 14 - spend £50 - guilt free - on new clothes to get me to a size 12 :)
8. Get to 12st - have a mani/pedi & lashes tinted
9. Get to goal weight 11st - a full month's wages (£400ish) - guilt free - shopping trip :D
