    Hey all!

    DRASTIC PROBLEM! Haha

I was following the Cambridge Diet sole source, and lost loads of weight...but was so bored of mlkshakes and porridge (i found the soups inedible!). So I've started following Slim Fast instead.A shake for breakfast and lunch and a 600cal dinner. Your also allowed 3 x 100cal snacks a day. I've been soooo good! Not had the snacks most days as I got used to just the 3 meals on CD, and dinners have always been withn the allowance.
BUT!!!!! I'm putting weight on! About a pound a day! I've only been doing Slim Fast for 4 days, but am worried I'm just undoing all the good work :( do I need to go back to CD? :(
Any advice would be mega! Am so redy to give up :(

    Thanks x

    Hiya

Try using your snack allowance for a few days, even if you don't fancy anything. Perhaps have some fruit or done veggies and dip. I find that if I dont use my dinner/snack allowance and I scrimp on calories too much my losses arnt as good.

Are you drinking enough water, and are you going to the toilet normally??? I find I get quite constipated an bloated on this diet if I don't drink enough water.

I'm no expert but.... I would have though it quite normal for your weight to fluctuate a little when coming off such a low carb/complete meal replacement diet (such as Cambridge) as your body gets used to having "normal" food again.

I know it's hard (and I'm a sucker for it myself) but try not to obsess over your weight. Weighing your self every day isn't the most healthy of habits. You will go up and down daily, constantly fluctuating dependent on your bowels/urine output, the time of day you weigh and especially the time of month for us girls.

My advise is to follow the plan as close to 100% as you can (that includes your 300cal snack allowance) and try you hardest not to weigh in until a whole week on plan before deciding if it's the right diet for you.

    Hope this is of help

    Thanks Lotty!!!!

I am drinking loads of water...at least 2.5ltrs...everythings fine thankfully lol

Iv measured myself so i can compare inches if the pounds dont look so good! I'll try to limit weighing myself...but im a sucker for it! Hopefully i'll notice clothes fitting better soon!

I bought some >100cal snacks and fruit today...they look yummy so im sure i'll be able to force them in :p haha

How are you doing? Are you following SF?

    Thanks :)

I've done quite well on slim fast/ultra slim. I lost about 1 1/2 stones last year. Had about a year back on normal foods and managed to maintain for the year. I've recently started back on slim fast for a further few months just to loose a little more.

Its likely to be your glycogen stores refilling hun. Totally normal and will level off. Usually after the 1st week on a new plan you start losing again :)
