Hiya,

Turbojam is a strenuous cardio workout combing loads of diff types - dancing, kickboxing, body sculpting. Claims to burn 1000 cals an hour!. Just waiting for the DVD to arrive in post and might try it on my 'stretch' and 'yoga' days to begin with. Its one of the Beachbody trainers, Chalene that does it.

Will let you know what its like - i usually have a watch first :D

I watched some on youtube and it looked easier then insanity, was thinking might be a better one to start instead of insanity but if it burns 1000 cal in an hour it probabaly isnt lol

I never realised there was so many different beachbody ones untill i just had a proper look on there site lol

I've had a proper look at it now, and actually it looks like something I could do I wont be doubling up, i think ill stick to turbojam untill i feel insanity wont kill me

Yeah turbojam looks pretty good - looking forward to starting it. I just wonder if the 1000 cals an hour claim has something to do with the cardio weighted gloves. I dont av any but I think it will b difficult enough without them :0/ still doing p90x - am on day 17 (I think?) noticing some differences now tho yippee!

actually any high intesity exersize burns on average 100 kcal per 10 minutes so thats 600 just doing smething normal so maybe if they have found a way to burn more cals its possible

Just watched turbojam, disc working no thanks to taz the psychodog:(

Wow it looks really great! the ab one looks like a fab workout. I love the p90x kenpo which is kickboxing so it looks exactly like my cup of tea! Husband was saying that p90x week 5/6 are really tough - one of the workouts is concentrate push ups (er...i can only do one or two, then its girly method) So i think in order to feel that I'm working hard enough I might have to fit a couple of turbojams in there. P90x legs and back tonight (yuckee) this one hurts! and I suspect an ab ripper workout (this better b worth it!)

I think from what ive seen of p90x you might need to do a couple of turbojam but then if your putting it in your "rest days" you might not it might give you a bit of a work out while taking it easier like you should be

Ive only done two of the work outs so far and though i was a tiny bit sore it wasnt too bad like you would expect starting something new

Yeah, you're right- what I'll probably do is swap the 'all push up' disc of P90X with the a mix of turbojam and see how that goes. Just discovered that Chalene does another workout, Turbofire,blimey talk about commercialism. Think I'll stick with that workouts I've got :0)

Just bought myself some weighted gloves for p90x as am finding the kenpo workout isn't quite intense enough - they're only 0.5kgs to add a bit of resistance

Been really tired the last few days do you find you get fatigued when dieting nd exercising? Am eating loads - probably too much actually I might need to get on sw again :0/

I haven't found it yet but I dont think im working that hard yet lol... im on rest day 2 and im not sore or anything lol though the other day i did it when ill

Ive been told though if you eat a banana afterwards it replaces most of the good bits you have burnt offf when exersizing

Lol 2 rest days! no fair, I only get one and they encourage you to do the stretch dvd ....meh....

Felt myself waining a bit to day so i was you-tubing it for my weekly dose of encouragement and fully psyched (?sp) up I did my kenpo, without gloves, cause I need to go collect them from post office which is miles away.

Urghh been eating soda bread today as well - husband thought he'd do some home baking, nightmare, so much for my lo-carbing :(

However, tomorrow is a new day :)

3 rest days :D week 1 of turbo has 3 im guessing its to proper recover but i dont think its needed

after week one its always 2 rest days but it does say if you want you can add in any routine you want
