Love all these food ideas! Still new to veganism (been a veggie for always) so thanks so much for all the ideas! Just wondering, are you finding it easy to lose weight whilst being a slimming world vegan?? Heard from some people vegans/veggies lose weight slower than the omnivores :p

Since I've been vegan the weight loss has sped up a little, I think probably because I am thinking even more consciously of getting a balanced diet although some days I need to up my superfree which I have been trying hard to do, especially in the week. I do find that plenty of vegan foods are low syn (I find Tesco one of the best places for quick stuff that I can chuck in the oven that's not too high in syns) and then I buy things from Holland and Barrett too. How long have you been vegan?
 
Sunday 23rd March:

Brunch - Jacket potato with baked beans
Snack - 1 Lotus biscoff biscuit (2 syns) with my black coffee
Dinner - 2 Fry's chicken-style burgers (5 syns) in a toasted WW wholemeal pitta (HEB), 250g McCain rustic chips (4 syns) and 1 tbsp homemade vegan mayo (half a syn)
330ml can of Bavaria malt non-alcoholic beer (4 syns)
200ml chocolate Oatly (HEA)

We are back in North Wales for a few weeks waiting for my next hospital appointment in May then we will be back in Spain. Have our vegan son staying with us this week and he is doing the cooking - made some Seitan yesterday which we enjoyed and nowhere near as many calories as I imagined.
Looks like the weight loss is still on track and nearlly there.

Hey good to hear from you - it is so frustrating when losses slow down, how long have you been away from SW? Seitan is lovely, I tend to buy the mock duck in tins as that is gorgeous, but homemade can be nice although I haven't perfected a recipe yet! How did it turn out? Weight loss has been slow the last few weeks but hoping it might start to pick up again, I am trying to eat plenty of superfree (I don't enjoy salads) and just want to shift the rest for when we go to the Costa Dorada in September!
