Well done on that successful cinema trip! It is tough but now you've got a week under your belt you will roll on, and as holiday gets closer you can stay focused on that!

Little disappointed I thought it would be more! Gym and 100% every day (bar odd 5g peanut butter)

Although I am proud of myself as whenever that happened on WW I immediately binged! But I haven't!!!

If the pb is slowing you down skip it for a week and see if any change

sometimes exercise slows losses... xx how much did you lose cannot see start weight?

Ahh how come it slows losses?

I was 9.12 about 11 days ago.. Was 9.10 when started this and now 9.4.6.

I was reading up on the refeed on SnS site and it says expect to gain 4lb during refeed.. So my aim weight for Ibiza is going to be 9.0lb.xxxx

It might stall you hun same as it stalls some people on low carbs plans

Well done on your first WI huni, i hope i lose around 5lbs or more in my first week! you will be at your Ibiza goal in no time :) id ditch the peanut butter for a week just to see if that speeds it up for you! but personally i think youve done great!
 
thats a brilliant loss! no need to be dissapointed... its happened a lot to people on here in the past - the body grabs onto reserves more because it is in even more shock. In general as well when muscles grow they grab onto water first which aslo adds weight. but generally if your net calories are too low its not ideal esp in first few weeks but the scales are going down and im sure the exercise is having other good effects in toning so just take it easy and see how you get on and feel x
 
Guys thank you all for your inspirational and supportive comments! I felt really loved reading them!

Bananas that's really true about the toning and weight thing me and Lara were discussing that.I need to lose a few lbs of fat off the top of the muscle first to show the tone underneath though. Toning is actually the main thing I want to do!

This is when the hard weight loss begins for me ... Anything under 9.4lb becomes really hard to lose. I joined WW meetings today, not for the diet but just for the weigh in to keep me on track. 3 more weigh ins till Ibiza then 6 days of refeed to get used to carbs again before drinking commenses!xxxx

oooh not long at all :)

I reached 9st1 today - but I know its all water weight that goes straight back on as its only been a few days!

Struggled a bit today so far I had macorni sachet (really nice!) and 200g brocolli and 2 porridges... eeek will be having 4 packs today and will hold out as long as possible for the 4th! That'll be ok right?!

Excited about Ibiza? xx
 
Well done Svincent that's a great loss for you as there's not that much to lose to get to your ideal weight. I'll be delighted when I move into the 9's. Not too far away I hope x x

I'm so excited about Ibiza it's unreal!!!!! Every time I want to eat I think about being on the beach.

I'm thinking about doing a kind of refeed this week slowly to go onto low fat as I don't want it all to come back on in Ibiza?! I don't knnnooowwww!

I'd say stick at this for 3 weeks? The reason I say is that the longer you are in ketosis the better as it burns fat so you'll be losing fat more than water n muscle. You can of course stay in ketosis by eating more protein n low carb. If you are excercising you could do week 3+ with a certain carb amount and use the carbs to fuel workouts and eat protein after - good for muscle building and would improve your work outa as you'll actually hav energy to do them which will naturally dissipate the longer you are low carb (from experience yes ketones produced during ketosis do give energy but fat is not quickly converted to energy by the body so cardio workouts are tough - and can be damaging if your body decides muscle is easy to use for energy!) I found low intensity exercise best from week 2ish onwards or upping carbs if doing high intensity.

Was busy today so was Ok! It's when you have time to think about food it gets hard...

Salad from Sainsburys (Cucumber, Tomatoes, Sweet pit, butternut squash, beet root, feta, chickpeas, green beans and soy beans)
2x Horlicks (yum!)
1 pint skimmed milk
Choc shake (my only pack of the day)
Small portion mash potatoe and tiny portion of dry Special K

I know you said to continue Lara but I'm guna re-introduce carbs. For 2 reasons. Firstly iota my birthday on Wed and I would like wine and cocktails on the 4th. Secondly I CAN'T SLEEP!!! Which I defo put down to the packs!!!! What's in them???!!!

See how omorrow goes.

Break from gym today and tomo. I thought about food LOADS today. Was quite difficult to rein it in!xxxxx

Hey listen if you are out and about moving around then it makes sense to do what you are doing. Like I said a little exercise and carbs would be a good idea - and is what I was preferring to do this last 3 months. Honestly the amount of cereals and bread I was eating - and feeling no guilt whatsoever as I was running!

Anyway yes it's dAngerous to drink when you have ketosis about..... My new years eve was a awful awful night and I drank about 7 drinks (I drank way more even last week and was fine) and was a complete mess and couldn't walk and fell out with 2 people over it.... Didn't tell anyone but it was because is been on such low calories for the last few days.... So yes basically have your wine safely :)


Really pleased for you staying on track like this and reaping the rewards already :)
