Jens first few days diary- green plan

    Hello all :)

    I just started last wednesday and following the green plan as I am a veggie.
    I read the other diaries so thought it was a good idea to make one my self as well for my first week.

    *Thursday* 21st April
    Breakfast:
    1 slice of wholemeal bread (hexB) with a poached eggs
    Snack:
    Grapes, strawberries
    Coffee
    Lunch:
    Egg noodles with soy sauce, mushroom, cabbage and onions
    Dinner:
    Baked beans in tomato sauce.
    Quorn Sausage
    Snack:
    Gherkins, cucumbers
    Syns:
    none

    Low fat natural yoghurt with bananas, raspberries and blueberries
    Lunch:
    Salad (lettuce, carrot, cucumber, sweet corn, eggs, potatoes and fat free French dressing)
    Coffee
    Snack:
    Grapes
    Dinner:
    Quorn Sausages on the bbq
    Chicken fillet
    Sweet corn on the cob

    Snack:
    Muller light yoghurt
    Syns:
    Gin & Slim line tonic: 4 syns

    Breakfast:
    1 slice wholemeal bread (hexB) with baked beans in tomato sauce
    Snack:
    Grapes, strawberries
    1 alpen light cereal bar (hexA)
    Lunch:
    Low fat natural yoghurt with banana, raspberries and blackberries
    Coffee
    Dinner:
    Rice with peas, eggs, onions, Quorn mince and soy sauce.
    Muller light yoghurt
    Snack:
    Carrots
    Syns:
    none

    Breakfast:
    Low fat natural yoghurt with banana, raspberries and blackberries
    Lunch:
    Pasta n sauce quiche (eggs, low fat cottage cheese, mushrooms, onions)
    Coffee
    Dinner:
    2x wholemeal rolls (hexB) with Quorn chicken burger and Quorn sausage
    1 light laughing cow triangle (hexA)
    Salad (lettuce, sweet corn, carrots, cucumber with low fat French dressing)
    Snack:
    Melon
    Syns:
    Quorn chicken burger: 2,5 syns

    Hiya Jen,

    I'm just having a look at your diary as I'm a fellow greenie! Just a couple of initial thoughts ...

    - you are very light on hexa and hexb's - you should have at least one of each and up to two
    - is your low fat yogurt fat free? If not it may have syns
    - you're not having many syns, SW recommend at least 5 a day
    - presume it was a typo putting an alpen bar as an hexa?
    - again I'm presuming that you know muller light's aren't veggie ... you're probably not a purist like me!

    Hey Beegee,

    - Yea I should have more syns, but the first days when I started i thought it was good to not have much syns but when I found out about this forum and reading more into the book I found out you need atleast 5 syns.
    - Same as on hex A and B, haha and yea it was a typo about the alpen light bar I ment a hexb :)
    -ooh I didnt know about the gelatine in the muller lights :eek: good that I know now.
