Liz's CD Diet to Goal

Well, i think yesterday i felt the fight return a little so feel much better now.
Hope the weather is better where you are liz, it's raining here in Cardiff! boo!

Got any plans for bank holiday?

x

Hey Lelly - got the fight back too! Bank holiday we had friends over and yesterday had a last supper, a roast, before I decided to get back on the SS wagon.

Had my third shake about 30 minutes ago and have been drinking like crazy all day. On Saturday I went into a bridal shop and it was the first nice, normal one! A lot of the others I went into were quite odd. Can't explain it, but they just seem to attract strange people to work there.

I tried about 4 dresses and liked all of them, but they're not my dream dress. My dream dress I found online and the shop has been kind enough to order it in for me. So they've ordered it in a size 12 and it will be at the shop first week in September. I'm under no obligation to buy it, but I just 'know' that I'll want it.

I tried on a similar one, but didn't like the bodice and this has the bodice I do like. Am so excited. I've loved it from the moment I started looking, but nowhere stocked it nearer than about a 4 hour drive away, so I'm eternally grateful to this shop.

So, I need to get to where I want to be by September, as I want to know exactly what it will look like and order it. I also want to be where I want to be so that I can focus on maintaining. I didn't want to panic 6 months before the wedding and try to lose it, only to put some back on. So I have June, July and August and would like to lose 3 stone ideally. For the first time in ages I feel I have the focus back. No more snacking, no more 4 packs instead of 3. Just lots of water, coffee and willpower to get through the first 4 days.

All I can think about is the wedding. Could do with a picture of my dress pinned all over the house for inspiration, but obviously don't want OH to see it. I'm so excited I could burst :) I think it's partly wedding, but also partly excitement that I'm in the right frame of mind again.

This diet is completely about being in the right frame of mind and when I'm not I feel down because I now it's hard/impossible to do when I feel like that.

Off to catch up with diaries now, but determined to spend more time on here. My diary will probably be all about weddings from here on in lol, but that's what is working for me right now xxx

Great Stuff Liz, sounds like you are raring to go, well done on getting on with it today!
So..exciting that you've found the dream dress and you have plenty of time to sort the losses out and be maintaing nicely by the wedding!

xx

Hey Liz

Aww it's a lovely moment finding that 'right' dress, and no doubt when you try it on in September it will be just perfect.
I am nervous but looking forward to my actual dress arriving in 8 weeks, and then the fittings - just hoping to have lost as much as possible by then to really LOVE wearing it. My arms are still miles behind where I want them to be, but apart from that I absolutely adore it!

The first 4 days of SS yep are very hard, but we can do it. It will be soooo worth it on our big days! (and honeymoons too!) xx

Yes it is really exciting. I know what you mean about wanting to LOVE it. It can look great off, but you want to feel perfect with it on.

I've just ordered my shoes!!! Can't believe it. Saw a Dune pair in John Lewis that I loved, but didn't have them in my size, so carried on looking. I'm really picky, but finally found a pair by Something Bleu. They are in the sale, half price and I got 10% off for being a new customer. Wanted them to know my height in the dress :)

Won't be able to sleep waiting for them to arrive. The good thing is they tend to be a big fit apparently and I have wide feet, so hopefully they'll be comfy!

Anyway, day 1 nearly at an end and doing fine. Isn't it strange how it's so easy when you feel motivated and so hard when you don't? All about the mind this diet. :8855:

Thanks Shanny! Look at you reaching goal!! Well done. You're where I want to be :) xx

Morning!

Lovely shoes Liz! are these going to be your wedding shoes? very nice!

the sun is back out woohoo!!

Have a great day hun!

x

They are indeed :) Thought I could also wear them to other occasions, as they're not too weddingy, if you know what I mean!

Weather is lovely here. Parents back from their travels so have just been round to see them for the last few hours. Back home now - car in garage, so working from home until Friday.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun. I generally feel less hungry when it's sunny. Not overly hungry though, although last night my stomach was almost keeping me awake. Only had about 4 cups of coffee so far and normally have 1 an hour or so, which is bad! Although it is decaf and it keeps me full :)

On day 2 and still going strong, no urges to cave whatsoever. Hope this lasts. Turned down a meal at Parents to catch up - explained that I have a deadline and can't cheat. Got one more shake for today. Not sure if I'll have choc tetra or hot choc mint yet.

Aww the shoes are gorgeous!! :)

I know what you mean about mind over matter - I think I'm feeling that too right now. Have smelt lots of weirdly yummy food today, and just feeling headstrong right now - and hope that stays too.

We have a friends daughters bday this weekend, and I know there will be lots of temptation there - but hoping to definitely be in Ketosis by then, making it easier to say no, and also just know where I want to be in 4-5 weeks time.

I hate seeing 11 stone anything on the scales so that's been a massive incentive too.
Hope the rest of day 2 goes well for you. I've got one shake left, but considering a cup of boullion at some point possibly...will see how I go. xx

Hey Liz, Well done on another great day!
The sun definitely keeps me more positive i know that!
Hope you enjoyed your catch up with parents, i'll see mine today, although at separate times of the day, they avoid each other since they split...shame!
Good idea to turn down the meal, at least until you can happily not eat whilst others do.

Wishing you another great day!

xx

Thanks guys - really nice to feel things are a bit busier here at the mo!
Alexmummy - events are hard and I struggle even when headstrong, so prefer to avoid initially, but it is easier in ketosis like you say. I hate seeing 13 something on the scales, but think I've seen the last of them now!!

Hey Shanny - had my final shake and went to be early to read. I find early nights the best thing. Didn't have much energy anyway. I get a strange achy leg feeling on the first few days of CD, like I've done loads of exercise.

Hey Lelly - thought you were seeing your Parents yesterday for some reason! So have fun today. I bet it's hard not seeing them together.

Woke up bright and early this morning and was downstairs for about 5 minutes before a client called. Has given me something to do, but I wanted to do nothing because one of the glands in my neck is huge! It was a little sore yesterday, but it has got a lot bigger over night.

Hurts to move, which is strange as not feeling ill, no sore throat, cough, cold, anything. Although my voice started to go on the phone earlier! BF will be pleased :) Will give him a rest from my wedding talk. He said we should have a post 10pm wedding talk ban :) Never!

Weighed this morning as was feeling smaller. Not sure what I was a few days ago when I started, but I'm well away from the 13's now, so over the moon.

For some reason the scales are holding less importance to me lately. I have been paying more attention to my shape and exercising and haven't been so bothered. So that's the first time I've weighed for a while and curiosity got the better of me. I am thinking I can do another half stone this week, which will be lovely.

Cannot believe I am back in the right frame of mind after so long. It feels superb. I definitely need a big motivator to get me in the right mind set. Last time it was Orlando holiday and bikini and this time it's a wedding. Clearly I'm going to have to schedule fun events for the rest of my life to maintain my figure ;)

Hey Liz

Feeling the same as you today, glad that scales are moving downwards woohoo! Shape is definitely important, although am finding dressing mine a nightmare since losing weight - I definitely knew what to wear before, and feel like I don't anymore, but am sure when settled at a weight/shape/size it will slowly become more easy.

Sorry to hear about your throat too - my cold seemed to start like that last week, and thought nothing of it 'til I was streaming the following day - joy. Hope yours goes down very soon.

Here's to day 3 being fab, sunny, and easy as poss for us all.

Hey Alexmummy, thanks for that and happy day 3! It is hard clothes wise and takes some getting used to. I always used to wear black and when I lost lots of weight I got rid of old clothes and didn't rebuy anything black!

Am so, so gutted - wedding shoes arrived. They are stunningly beautiful and fit size wise in terms of length, but they are so, so narrow. I doubt my feet will shrink as I do. Do we have much fat in our feet?

What to do, what to do. I love them, but they cripple me, so I can't wear them. How sad.

THanks for the lovely pic comments Liz xx
Shame about the shoes, keep looking... the right ones are waiting for you somewhere!

xx

Thanks Lelly, yes it's a pain really. Think it'll be better to go into a shop to look. Might nip into town next weekend. Not going anywhere this weekend - staying in and avoiding food until I'm fully into ketosis.

I have suddenly developed really bad diarrhoea. Came on about 15 minutes ago (after having vegetable buillion) and have been twice. It's the 'not wanting to leave the house as will have an accident' kind. Wonder if there's anything in that stuff?

ooh not heard that before, maybe a little shock to your system, lots of water to keep you hydrated!

xx

Thanks Lelly. Mum just brought me over some bottles of water :) I did a search on minimins and actually found a post I created ages ago saying the same thing when I started it last time.

Couldn't remember how bad it was, although I remember I always used to wonder why people got constipated when I had the opposite problem.

Possibly my body flushing out all the rubbish? If I feel ill/faint later I'll have another shake. Not been for a little while now though, so hopefully that's the last of it.
