It’s different for everyone of course but having an evening meal is definitely helping me, it means I can sit down with the family. I’ve only been having one shake a day, I’d definitely be miserable on just shakes I think!

But stick with whatever works for you of course! If you’re feeling really hungry still in a few days time I think you might struggle so you could try a meal instead of one of the shakes? You could always go back if you find it too hard? I also really look forward to my bar in the evening with my cup of tea, it feels like a real treat.

I didn’t realise it was just 20 mins of light exercise, I’ll be doing more than that! So I’ll have to definitely add another shake to my day.

My fajita and pizza mixes arrived today, intrigued to see how they turn out!

Hope you all have great Mondays ☺️

Today I feel a million times better. I had two shakes and then a 'proper' tea. I'll be honest, I didn't count the calories, but I did low carb with meat and veg. I have so much more energy. I'm definitely going to do the 1200 plan this week while I'm off with the kids now. I'll see how it goes when I'm back at work and sitting down all day.

The good thing about this is that there are lots of flexible options and different ways of doing it to get a loss. I think I'll probably try a week of everything to see what works best for me.

I was referring to the advice for the 800, as I think we are all following. Here is the link https://www.exantediet.com/blog/long-read/exante-faqs-can-i-exercise-while-on-an-exante-diet-plan/
Ooh! I need pics @Zeus☺️ are you having one tonight? You must show me how they turn out! I ordered 3 boxes of hot cross bun bars last night. I'm dreading running out, I love them!
I might give them a go! I’ll report back 😂

Stock up! I think they’re seasonal aren’t they? I love the vegan bars, I need to get more of them! X

Oh that’s good to hear! I hope it goes well, let us know. I’ve got my first gym class tomorrow, so I’ll let you know how that goes! I’m going to have a shake before and a meal after so hopefully that’s enough ☺️ X

This is excellent news! Well done for problem solving this as on such a low calorie diet, it's really tough to see a way out other than giving up especially when you're starving!

I might give them a go! I’ll report back 😂

I stocked up on the vegan bars too 🤭 there was a great deal on yesterday morning and I managed to get it! Only for 200 orders and is gone now so I'm really pleased!

@Larissa there is no way in hell I am giving up! I am too determined to shift this weight once and for all!
Love it! My motivation has waxed and waned but I'm 6 stone down now and this last stone is going to be the easiest 😁

@Larissa You better not have got them all 😂😂 they are so good aren’t they, I had a peanut bar earlier and it was a disappointment compared to the vegan ones!

Also, six stone down is absolutely amazing. Well done.

I didn’t make a pizza as I realised I have heck sausages and minute steaks that need using - but will do soon!

The parcels come so quick don’t they? It’s great!

Ive just tried a pizza for lunch - it was ok! Not amazing. But not bad at all. I added some ham and eat lean grated cheese. I don’t think it would be great without them! But as I’m going to the gym tonight I thought today’s a good time to add some extra calories. X

You made that pizza look really nice! Great idea to get the extra in before hand. You'll have the energy to smash it then! Let us know how it goes! It's a big day getting back into gyms!

@Zeus☺️ that pizza looks nice. It's good to have it as an option. How was gym? I'm looking forward to getting back and doing some exercise. (And having an excuse to leave the house in the evenings).

@Larissa that's a good idea about free delivery!

I've weighed myself this morning and the 'official' week one weigh in is 5.5lbs down. I'm very happy with this considering I've moved to 1200 and was convinced I'd put on any weight I'd lost after eating again. Hope everyone has a great day!

Woohoo @Caroline1980 that's excellent! They always say that whatever you lose in the first week, you will have to put it back on so having a 14lb loss would be tough! Knowing that it has to go back on  5.5lbs is excellent! Well done.

I was doing some reading (specifically about Lipotrim, but concerns carbohydrate fasting) and found out more about the maintenance after Exante, in term of eating normal food. If we go back to carbs hard (like just eat normally again) our bodies will rush to store the glycogen and for every 1lb of glycogen stored, the body can store 4lbs of water with it! To keep it friends! SO.. I'm still researching but it looks like, if we reintroduce carbs very slowly, we can reduce the amount of glycogen that our bodies store in a rush to compensate for the carb starvation that we have put them through. Does that make sense?

Well done @Caroline1980, that’s brilliant! You must be pleased.

The gym was funny - it was a group exercise class so had to be outside and it was FREEZING! I put all my weights down because I’ve not been since before Christmas so it was ok at the time... but I can barely walk today! I’m sat with a hot water bottle on my thigh muscles now! I enjoyed it though and didn’t feel faint or anything although I was a little bit shaky during the cool down down, but that could have been because of the icy wind!!

@Larissa thats really interesting, I’ve seen some stuff about storing water too. It does make sense. I’m a while off yet but am already reading more about maintenance. I’m honestly not missing carbs at the moment BUT I know it’ll be much harder when we can go out more and socialise/go to restaurants etc. I’m determined to get to goal and keep it off though ☺️☺️☺️ X

Hi all! It's the weekend :)
I had a -0.1 lb last week, I've had some strange digestive stuff going on too so I am cleaning the slate starting today really. Not that I had come off Exante, I was just following more of a keto diet and less of an Exante plan. We know this works so onwards and upwards!

Well done at the gym @Zeus☺️ are you going to go back? 😂

Well done with the clean slate! At least it was still a loss. This week is being a slow one for me too, I weighed myself a couple of days ago and I’d not lost anything yet. Only difference for me is going to the gym and on one of the gym days I ate 200 calories extra (1000 total for the day) but is burnt 400 so this shouldn’t have put me over.

maybe it’s just a funny week?!

I'm sure I read somewhere that losses are actually slower if you do a lot of exercise doing a VLCD.

Just plodding on here. Still sticking to 1200. I'm down another pound so almost lost half a stone. I definitely feel the difference on the days I'm more active, I definitely need more 'proper' food on those days. So tend to have two shakes, a meal and a snack.

Strange isn’t it? I’ve only done two classes, each one burnt about 400 calories. I didn’t do my normal walks on those days, which burn between 200-300 calories. So maybe just a funny week! I’ll see what happens next week.

Glad you’re still doing well! It’s great you’ve found a way that still works and doesn’t make you feel tired all the time. X

Morning! A 1lb loss for me this week, not too bad as I was beginning to think it would be no lose. Hoping it doesn’t slow to 1lb a week though as I have a way to go 😂

Hope you all have lovely Sundays x
