Total Solution Lynne's journey to losing 6stone and running 5k. Countdown to Philadelphia.

New start:
Friday Day 1: 12st 9lb
Saturday Day 2: 12st 8lb - 1lb loss
Sunday Day 3: 12st 6lb - 2lb loss

Don't know how I've lost another 2lb having had 1816 calories yesterday but I have!

Ha ha, who are we to question Lynne. Just go with the flow :D.

Sounds like today is going well x

At least you're entering the detail onto MFP so you can keep a teak of how you're doing, I've not done that for this weekend....not sure it has real ale on there or that I want to know! Have sadly moved sensibly on to vodka & diet cokes now xx Keep losing :)

A pint of 5% real ale is 295 calories. More for stronger ale! I love real ales!

Ouch..... I am never touching it again! I love real ales cold in summer and can glug a few with ease!!

Same here!

3 pints and that's virtually your daily calorie allowance gone!

Lynne, as requested this is my recipe for fat free and sugar free banana cake :)

3 medium sized (or 2 v.large or 4 small) over ripe bananas.
1/3 cup of fat free yogurt (natural or vanilla is very nice - I have even made it with strawberry!)
1/2 - 2/3 cup of granulated sweetener (use more if your bananas aren't too ripe)
1 beaten egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 large tsp bicarbonate of soda (NOT baking powder)
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups of plain flour

Heat oven to 175. Mix banana and yogurt, then add egg, sweetener and vanilla and mix.
Mix in bicarb and salt to flour and then stir in flour. I cook in a lined loaf tin for about an hour.

I have also made this into muffins and baked them for about 20mins I think..... was a while ago so best test with a skewer if trying this!

If for non dieters then its sugar and butter in place of the sweetener and yogurt, but I like this one nearly as much! I also sprinkle a bit of golden cane sugar on top which gives it a bit of crunch :)

Simplest cake you will ever make, good for you AND goes towards your five a day!

I have just copied this and will try when im off diet coz i love cake!! I hope its amazing even though i am a hopeless cook!!
Bom i dont know what you have done to me, today in my shopping i had chilli, cumin and paprika spices! I have never bought spices in my life but preparing for mexican chicken!!
Cant even do that yet as i need to be able to taste things but bought them now so i remember to try it!!

Thanks for the recipe Sarah.
I'm a useless cook too but I'm going to give it a try too. I'll buy the bananas tomorrow and make it next weekend.
Just got back from a long walk with the dog. Have done 15572 steps today so far!

Hi Becky. I'm only doing it at the moment because I was struggling with TS. Will be back on exante in April! I've still got a lot of weight to lose. I could say I'm practicing for maintenance though!

You're doing really well by being strict with yourself though while you are having a break! I would probably go wild and eat anything and everything! So you defo have the right willpower and when April comes round you won't have as much to lose!

I really hope so! Last year I did really well between April and July so I'm hoping to do the same this year!

Seriously you can't really go wrong with this cake! I have replaced part of the flour with coconut before now, added coffee, choc chips all kinds and it still always works :) Well done on all those steps by the way - thats a LOT!
