New MAY exercise challenge.

As well as walking the dogs every day (1-5 miles).

Will add 3 hours of pilates per week.

Plus 3 runs per week to train for the Race for life in Leyland (Lancs on06/07/08.

Been for my walk today. Pedometer says 5.23 miles/11632 steps/1 hour 50mins. So thats not bad. Funny thing is it felt shorter than when I walked it on Monday lol.
Just got back when courier delivered my Wii Fit , the guy asked if it was a wii fit by any chance & when I said yes he offered to buy if off me cause he can't get one anywhere!!! Didn't hang around to see how much he was offering lol.
Will go & try it now & report back later.

I'm just about to order a new bit of equipment. It's a thigh trimmer. It's not cheap so I will have to try to sneak it in past Mr az and do the whole "Oh this? I've had it for ages" thing

well I actually made it out for my three runs this week. I've been meeting my dad and going out together, which makes it easier to actually get out and do it - plus it's more fun with someone else!

It's ordered! I can't wait to get it, it's the only piece of exercise equipment Mr Taz won't be able to hang washing on! And it will hopefully de-flab my thighs and butt!

How do you use it?
I've been on Wii Fit all weekend & today it said I have lost weight so we will see at WI tmrw.

FT, how about a mini-trampoline? The bounce it gives you will absorb the impact rather than your knees.

might save your knees but no good for back problems. put me in bed for weeks and specialist at hospital thinks its 'growing pains'. yea right

Going to try using my exercise bike more and also go swimming. Did a lot of walking yesterday as I went to the Chelsea Flower Show (the day before it opens so it's all a bit chaotic) and my knees aren't too bad today so maybe they've quietened down again.

How do you use it?
It's like a slider motion from the middle out to the sides. You stand on the foot plates and slide your feet apart then back into the middle. It uses your inner and outer thigh muscles and your butt muscles. I can't wait to get it

When I first got trouble with my knees the doc tried telling me it was growing pains and I was 25! Turned out I had a torn cartiledge and Hypermobility Syndrome so he couldn't have got that more wrong!

Sounds good Taz. Wii fit told me yesterday that I'd lost 6lbs and when I went to WI this morning I'd lost 5 1/2 lbs so I'm very pleased.

Yea well he told me to bend down and touch my toes, i have hypermobility too in my hips so can do that easy and he didnt even know about it as i dont think its written in any medical records (my mam is a podiatrist and someone who she works with tested me for it) he just said growing pains and told em to go and that was it. ducking foctors eh?

Glad I'm not the only one! My elbows are the only place I haven't got it but my knees are the worst affected. Mine was diagnosed when they were looking around inside my knee. They haven't offered any information or advice about it so all I know is what I've looked up online
