.Nicki. - time flies.

Lordy i feel sick :character00264: i've just polished off a whole massive shepards pie, what a fatty!
Put 2lbs on so not so bad, still lost 9lbs in 3 weeks so can't complain too much.
Want to hear some shocking news? today i decided to get off my bum and on my bike, i cycled 1.3kms although it took 15 mins and not going to lie it killed me, i had to stop a few times near the end but i managed it. Tomorrow i want to a bit of wii fitting and hopefully i'll be fully back on track.

Mums quite right hun...leeks taste very like onions, I luv em. You need to chop off most of the dark green end and slice the actual leek up. The most important thing with leeks is to make sure you rinse them really well as they get gritty inside the leaves. Then you just gotta cook them! I sometimes fry them with frylight, or throw them in a stew or casserole. Try them!
Have you ever had passata? It is made out of tomatoes but its really smooth, no pips or lumps, and its a great base for curries and casseroles. The best curry sauce I made was one from this site...a tin of mushy peas (blended til smooth) mixed with some passata with curry powder added. Really simple! And it was gorgeous...and adds to your super free. I added cooked onions. mushrooms, peppers, peas and chicken & had it with boiled rice...really yummy and totally free on EE!
Anyway...gotta pop out to do me little jog again! Hope to get back on later xx

Ooh...u posted while i was writing! 2 lbs is fine hon! And u bin on the bike too! Back in about an hour after run...if I manage it! Post proper reply then xx

I'm back..puff puff!!!

Like I tell my hubby...this body is built for comfort, not speed :banana dancer: but we did the next installment of the C25K tonight. My son came with me which was great!

And you've done so well today Nicki :party0049: Isnt it hard to get back into it again when you've had a difficult few days? The bike ride was such a good idea, and it was a lovely day for it too. I havent ridden a bike for 35 years, apart from the exercise bike that is!

I can see the veg thing is a bit of a problem but I really think you could get round it by chucking some into sauces etc. The soup sounds nice, and another gd way of getting yr super frees :D

Bet you're getting excited about Bunny Boo or Bunny Grace!!! I think I like Boo the best...its so sweet!

Hope you have the really excellent day you deserve tomorrow Bestie :hug99: -9lbs in 3 weeks is a great loss hun...stick with it, you have so many wonderful reasons to keep going :party0011:

lots of luv xx

Good morning Mini's.
Its very sunny here on the
south coast but as i'm feeling like death  my curtains are remaining firmly drawn. Last night i was having the most random dreams and they weren't very pleasant, but most of them are related to things going on at the moment so think life is getting to me at the moment. Wish i was one of these people that can't eat in times of stress!
I am super excited about bunny coming home and i think she will be called Boo :bunnydance: its definitely the favorite name with everyone. Need to get her some toys, been majorly skint so at the moment she has a cage and a bowl shaped like a carrot!

Todays food is
Ready Brek - Hexb
Milk - 1/2 Hexa
Sugar - 1.5 syns
Yogurt
Pasta n Sauce - 1/2 Hexa, 1 syn
Banana
SW Chips - 3 syns
Cheese - Hexa, Hexb
Beans (lots)
Ice lollies - 3 syns

If i can manage this it will be my first day back on track in 2 weeks, 4 hex and 7.5 syns would be awesome but i have some minstrels looking at me from across the room and i want to to this to them ----->:17729:

Woo Hoo lovely

Well done on the exercise and getting back on plan
You will get that little gain off again in no time ;)

Do you mainly do Green days ?, and you say you only like sweetcorn?? ecky thump ..... is there anything else you will tolerate if we can camouflage it for you? carrots, swede, peas???

We must be able to come up with something to fill you up... Do you do any red days as the proetein should help you feel full longer?

on green days -what about home made chicken n sweetcorn soup?
and if you aren't keen on veggies -have you tried them roasted?? ...oooh we won't be beaten we WILL figure something out :p....

ooh off the top of my head -have you tried porridge oats instead of ready brek -it takes longer to digest -and have you thought of adding a chopped nana -and some mixed frozen berries, it would save you 1.5syns on sugar (every little helps ;)) plus the berries are SF and some are SS :D

Right thats enough jabber for now
Have a lovely day Mrs..

I hope if i get back on track and have do a little exercise i could get my stone aware by my birthday.
I used to do only green days but this time i'm doing both, i usually do green days on my day off and reds when i'm at work, on red days i usually use my hexb on potatoes with my dinner. I have to say i've never tried veggies roasted, what veg roast best? I'm going to try doing a spag bog with lots of veg but blend the sauce smooth and try and do a leek and pot soup. I'm not very good with soups (had a bowl of chicken soup poured down my throat when i was little, so the tend to make me very sick) thinking if i did it with veg stock i might manage it.
I have oatsosimple but i still have sugar on it because i like the crunchy texture, might try it with a banana tomorrow! I'm off this weekend so might have a major cooking session.

Hey bestie, think its a bit of a bug hubby and my friend has it and think i'm a little run down, hubbs has his hosp appointment thursday which i'm worrying about, not sure if they're just assessing him or doing test just a bit of an unknown. I'll be ok just need to shake it off!

Wanna hear something majorly shocking? I did 15 mins on the wii fit today, exercise 2 days in a row,
:character00115: shocking development or what! Ok so it was only 15 mins but it was all the high M.E.T ones and apparently I burned 134 cals. Oh and the minstrals are still looking at me, haven't even had one. Hubby can have them later, he came home just after 2pm looking very poorly :character00264: he's in bed now snoring, better go wake him up soon or he won't sleep tonight. Speak soon Minis xxx

Ice lollies - 6 syns

Hifi - Hexb

also did 20 mins exercise, all in all a pretty good day and firmly back on track. Tomorrow i'm on a red day so food tomorrow will be

Ready Brek - Hexb
Milk - 1/2 Hexa
Sugar - 1.5 syns
Yogurt
BBQ chicken - 1.5 syns
Coleslaw - 3.5 syns
Cucumber
Babybel light - Hexa
Banana
Beef in gravy
jacket spud - Hexb

Speak to you all tomorrow, night night x

Yay Bestie!!!

Great to have you back on form!! Sounds like you're feeling alot better hun xx

Have to say the exercise thing is very impressive :D I'm not surprised tho cos when you're on it, you're REALLY on it :) Fingers crossed for another brilliant day tomorrow xxx

One thing I gotta ask...why are your sw chips 3 syns...do u do them in oil? Just wondered if u had tried the frylight?

Another day nearer bringing little Boo home...;) xx

Oh Nicki, its really awful yr so hungry :( What veg do u eat? Could u disguise it in a curry/ bolognaise/ lasagna etc.? Do u eat any salad? I used to do red and green days but took the plunge this time on EE and its impossible to go hungry. I'm not a mad lover of some veg (yuk to courgettes/sweet potato/ stringy green beans) but I will eat most sorts. And I really love a HUGE salad wiv new pots or jacket, and steak or chicken ;)

Hope wi is ok for u tonite...keeping my fingers crossed bestie xx

I agree. When I started, I wasn't particularly keen on the veg with my meals so I put lots in my meals but now I don't mind. I made stroganoff with onions and mushrooms (and then later added a whole load more veg to the sauce). You can blend any vegetables for a tasty sauce which is syn free. We'll keep working on this with you !

Well done on the exercise front. Never mind about the 2lbs, you are back on track now :)

I agree. I was going to ask that too - great minds think alike......:)

Good luck for this week. Looking forward to hearing about your loss this week.

:busted: Yeah i use oil on my chips, i use an actify and taste much better, i don't really like frylite that much.
I last 15 mins at work before they said i could go home, got to love the being over hours although might not love my pay next week.
Food today has changed a little as i'm ho
me because after i went back to bed for a couple of hours i made a ham and cheese omlette for breakie and it turned out lush, think i've finally cracked (gettit?) it :rotflmao:

So today will be
eggs
cheese (hexa)
ham
bbq chicken (2 syns)
ham
cucumber
coleslaw (3.5syns)
Banana
yogurt

can't decide whether to have fish in sauce and pasta or beef, jacket and gravy will see how i feel tonight.
Lovefilm kindly delivered Wii Zumba today so might give it a go today but i can see it ending in tears, i'm not blessed with much rhythm!

:roadblock: Warning Babble Alert :roadblock:
Well as my birthday (now officially called Booday) is fast approaching hubby mentioned where i'd like to go to dinner, which got me thinking :hmm: I don't want to go out for dinner, to many temptations, likely to throw me off course and we know how easy that is with me and its an expense we could do without. So my idea was to splurge on a big joint of meat from the butchers and to do a massive roast with the works, i'll probably go over syns but at least i know what i'm eating and then we have leftovers :innocent0002: Our butcher does lovely joints of beef but they're rather pricey when your on a budget, for hubbs birthday which is a month later (he's 30 this year) i'm thinking about getting a bbq box and doing a little party thing for him but not sure about that yet, he hates celebrating birthdays so its hard to plan anything for him.
I really want to start cooking more at the moment hubby lives off freezer crap :character00254: and i live or pasta/potatoes and syn free freezer stuff. Thing is with money being tight its hard to experiment because if its grim its a waste of money.
I think after hubby has his head sorted he will be joining sw with me (he isn't getting much of a choice really
:rotflmao:) mainly because i'm fed up with having to watch him chow down on yummy sweets or junk and then complain he's fat/unfit/ugly :blahblah: swear he's worse then a women. He's never dieted in his life and he used to be convinced that he was putting on weight because he wasn't exercising but its past that now and i think he's realising it. I sound dead mean i know but i try really hard to diet (i may not succeed but i try) and he thinks its dead easy to lose weight and stick to a diet despite having never tried but you don't put on 5 stone just because you stop playing football once a week. I was showing him before/after pictures and he asked if there were many men in my group so think he will do it, i've also seen him looking longingly at my homemade cheesy chips and beans/ omlettes/ pasta bakes. If he does join it does mean i'd be doing all the cooking :candledinner: which would be a good thing but he's fussier then i am, will be nice to have us both on the same plan though and i get a free week :sign0151:

Its very quite on here today, i'm well bored. Might have to go for a nap :nightf:

Discovery of the day: Wii Zumba is not for mega fatties like myself :character00264:

I don't like it much either -its like doing the hokey cokey on fast forward with your bloody limbs tied together :rotflmao: ... hmm perhaps we will agree that we are "rhythmically challenged" -

Having a nice meal at home sounds like a good idea to me - there is no sense in putting yourself where temptation is if you aren't comfy with it... plus it wouldn't be as enjoyable -and as you say if you are keeping an eye on the purse strings -you will have leftovers..... I LOVE leftovers :p

It would be nice if hubby joined in with you - I had a chuckle yesterday as for once it wasn't me fidgeting with my clothes -twas hubby... apperently his lovely NEW jeans were *a bit tight* -now when I say NEW he got them a few months ago (and tried them on) and yesterday was the 1st time he had worn them and so he knows he has gained a few lbs :busted:.... SO I have decided that Im going to be putting him on SW -he eats the same as me, well pretty much -BUT he likes his beer -sooo Im putting him on EE -he has a crispbread addiction (so I won't use his heB -so when he has those it will cover it) and then I will use as few syns as possible in meals so he has them for beer :sign0151: ,,,, luckily he loves salad especially with jackets n cottage -so he won't even notice what Im doing ;)

It would be great if you get into more cooking - it stops things getting boring, I reckon a lot of my recipes would be "do able" -I test run them first and wouldn't post them if they were dodgy... give me a yell if you are looking for ideas and I will help if I can...
Anyway -enough waffle -have a nice nap my lovely

Nitey nitey bestie...chat properly after work xx

I was bad and it was all Steve's fault, he bought home mars bars! I was out of syns and hex's by 6pm and was hungry. This is why i dislike red days, i find it hard to snack. Anyway it was only one so sure it won't do that much damage.
I also have another piccy of Boo, its a terrible picture but she still looks uber cute! Can't believe how big she is getting, its her one month birthday on Friday
CIMG3434.jpg

Hi hun!

How fab would it be if hubby was to go sw with you!!! :happy036: I think it would really make things so much easier for you, and he could help with ideas for meals etc. You might like to remind him that mars bars are not commonly known as superfree foods and so will shortly be OFF the menu lol!!! Just a thought but you might want to warn him about me too! lol! :fear:

Regarding yr Booday treat...I like the idea of a nice little home cooked meal for two , but I'm an old romantic at heart!

The new Boo piccy is so lovely! She's so lucky to be coming to live with you xx

Gotta go....I'm falling asleep! Have to do my dary tomorrow now!

luv Dawn xx

haha i did mention that most of his food would soon be off the menu, he did not look impressed.
He's at the hospital now but he wouldn't let me go with him so i'm sat at home, worrying! Should do the housework or something but i don't want to
