Cats are cute...dead mice. ......not!!!!

Glad you had such a good time - the park's amazing! Hopefully mouse hunting will keep you in shape and you'll have a good weigh in!

Jx

Mice are my biggest fear, so I would have officially have moved out by body count 1 lol!

So I've ditched the 30 day shred, and opted for the extreme workout DVD - Insanity! This is a 60 day programme, and is absolutely crazy, but will hopefully reduce the size of my stomach and just tone me up all over!

Here is me looking pretty pleased with myself after completing day 1 :D

I'm only 3lbs away from my goal, but those stupid jeans still don't fit, so it's time to take action with an extreme exercise regime! Day 1 is the 'fit test' where you have to complete various different exercises for 1 minute, and you have to do as many reps as you can. So I've just done 59 switch kicks, 47 power jacks, 84 power knees, 44 power jumps, 8 globe jumps, 11 suicide jumps, 12 push-up jacks and 42 low plank obliques! Today is a relatively easy day on the regime, and the real action starts tomorrow with the 'plyometric cardio circuit':eek:. I'm slightly scared, but looking forward to the results at the end!

Back to Dukan, today was a PP day:
B - Chocolate Dukan porridge, ff yogurt
L - Beef meatballs, 2 x boiled eggs
D - Vegetarian sausages, 2 x fried eggs, dessert: stewed rhubarb with sweetened quark
...think I've eaten too many eggs today, oops!

Did you complete 30DS Alli? Or did you not like it ? :) I've been having my arm twisted into starting it :D (Becky ;)) xxx

I would definitely recommend 30DS (I don't think I've ever done it for 30 consecutive days before, but I've tried all 3 levels). The Insanity workout is about 5 times harder than Shred, and as I'm moving over to conso soon (hopefully!), I wanted to use this as a safety net to burn up the extra calories from the bread, cheese, starchy & gala meals

You should try it! I really like Jillian Michaels, I listen to her podcasts whilst I'm at the gym - worth downloading for lots of tips on nutrition and exercise!

damn, ceri, i wrote a nice long post and my iPhone ate it. HAVE to remember to copy the text before hitting send, in case the wifi disappears.

anyway, the synopsis is great work on the mad exercise routine! and lovely to see your top half for a change - not that i don't love your toes too :)

i don't know much about either shred or insanity, but a cardio program will definitely help shed the last few pounds more quickly. if you're concerned that the last few 3lbs won't make enough difference for the jeans, though, you might get better results by upping your strength / weights training? even yoga can make a huge difference in reshaping your body and toning your muscles. just my 2 cents :)

anyway, you sound positive and motivated and it's so good to hear: keep it up! you'll be there in no time.

Cx

It's really tough, but I did take a few breaks. I found the workout today a little easier 'cardio power & resistance', and tomorrow is 'cardio recovery' - sounds like heaven!!!x

Hmmm I'm not convinced I'm up for it!! X

Official weekly weigh-in this morning, and I'm 2lbs down! I now only have one measly pound to go. I'm going to try and be extra good for the next week so I can finally complete cruise.

Yesterday was a really tough day on the diet, I just felt so fed up with the food I was eating. It didn't help that the OH ordered a Dominos and was munching away on that as I had my salmon and scrambled eggs. I feel like I only eat now to fill me up, not for pleasure.

Caro, I agree that you can really change your body shape with strength/weight training, there is some of that in the Insanity programme where you're using your body weight for resistance, so hopefully I'll see some results!

Today is a PV day:
B - Chocolate Dukan porridge
L - Chicken salad, ff yogurt
D - Mushroom omelette, spinach & broccoli, dessert: stewed rhubard & quark
Exercise: Day 4 of Insanity!
