Hi all,
Just been reading how much everyone is loosing on the Lipotrim diet, well done u r all doing great:D
I am a newbie and joined because I wanted a gastric band but upon reading all the success storys I am now swaying more to going on Lipotrim myself..
Only problem is the cost???
Hows much is it exactly (i understand quite expensive, although results r excellent)
Can this be funded on the NHS, I have asked my Dr re this diet and he states he has never heard of it b4...
Any help much appreciated:D

Hi and welcome. LT costs most of us £36 a week. If like me you used to eat a lot of rubbish and junk, I am actually saving a lot of money by doing this. It really is worth doing though, it cleanses your palette and makes you think about your bad food habits. The refeeding then allows you to introduce food slowly so you don't put back lots of weight.

Good luck if you decide on LT, it really does do what it says it will.
 
It's £36 a week for a female but dearer in Ireland and for men I believe.


I do think some people can have it through prescription but I haven't read about anyone on here having one.


I personally do think £36 is quite expensive but many on here think it's in line with what they would spend on "real" food in a week. For me however, I haven't found that my food bills have reduced by £36. They have reduced a bit but not nearly as much as that. But I am cooking for others. I suppose if you were single, you would save £36 per week.

I know cost is an issue .......but I think I'd rather struggle financially for a while and give LT a try, before resorting to surgery.

i pay 30 for mine,and re the gastric band my friend had it done 1 year ago and has nothing but probs with it i have actually had to take her today to a&e because she is in so much pain with it the port has slipped and was actually pokind thru her skin!! she is having to be operated on this evening to remove the port, she has lost 3st since having it done and paid eight and a half grand then nine hundred in after care because it went wrong, i have been on this since january iv lost just over 5st and its cost me 500 pound, so at the end of the day is it worth all the hassle and money get ya self on LT hun its tough at times but the rewards are amazing.....good luck x

Give it ago! If you really want it you will have the willpower to do it!

It said that Lipotrim used to be a GP based Diet so im sure you could! but not sure if your doctors hasnt heard of it x
 
And another thought re your Dr...

S/He may not have heard of it but that doesn't stop him/her finding out about it and registering with LT.

Perhaps go back and really stress your intrest in it and that you'd like the surgeries support. Take the info from the website for the surgery to contact and aks if they'd b willing to consider being a LT surgery.

You never know it may help others as well if they investigate it and agree.

This diet really does work and I would encourage you to give it a try. Even if you go for the band you will still be required to loose some weight prior to surgery so why not try this. It's only my personal opinion but how about trying it for a month and see. You might end up feeling you can do it without the surgery. Whatever you do decide you will have plenty of support from this site.

Hiya, I know it is an expensive programme, but if you think how much going to a regular slimming club is per week, plus the food to follow the diet, then this works out about the same. Especially if you buy the sweets and stuff at the meeting, like I used to!!! LOL
If you decide to go for it, you won't be dissappointed.

Gosh at 5ft 8 and 210lbs you can do it without any invasive surgery. I was once 220lbs at 5ft 2:( and Lipo has definitely got me to my present weight with a little willpower as well:)

I know it might appear expensive a lot more so over here than in the UK but I think it is worth making the sacrifice else where in your budget if you can.

Go to the pharmacist and have a chat. If you get to the weight you want to you will be underweight by Lipotrim standards. Even just getting to 168lbs would bring you into the healthy range. That would be be approx 12 weeks on Lipo but probably less.

Great support on this forum. Just make sure you are in the frame of mind to do it before you start....so that you don't waste your money.

I certainly find that overall (ie including LT cost of £36) my food shopping is a lot less than it used to be before LT. We also save on meals out, takeaways (although they were quite rare anyway) and alcohol (which definitely wasn't rare!).

I very much doubt if the NHS would pay for it myself - but I could be wrong.

It seems to me you've nothing to lose by giving it, or something similar a go. I mean you're not going to get surgery next week are you? But you COULD be doing this by then. .... Nothing ventured and all that??

Hiya, I decided to start Lipotrim after reading all the reviews here. I started this morning, felt a bit hungry around 12pm but nothing to write home about. I do feel a little light headed and decided to split my shake in two in order to trick my brain (suggested by pharmacist). I am excited and scared at the same time, i want to lose all the weight I gained 3 yrs ago after having my daughter. I am not being unrealistic, i do not want to go back to being a size 8-10, a size 12 is fine 10-12 even better. My abdomen is still a bit high and i am wondering if the LT will help with weight loss there? Help, i need to know this is worth it, i don't wanna put my hopes up.

Oh yeah, i weighed in a few days ago and weighed 13st 12lbs as per the pharmacist, my scale says 13st and 3lbs!

Give it ago for a month as others have said, it is really worth it.
If you get from GP I think there is still a cost involved, less than £36
If I had gone to a slimming club I would have been going for years and years, it would have cost me much more, besides I would not have sruck with it.

Yeah, but you guys lose it SO much faster than us ladies....so probably works out the same in the long run! LOL.
 
Never thought in a million years that I, a registered foodaholic and lover of cooking, would be able to do 2 days, let alone over 9 weeks of just having shakes and water...but here I am, shortly looking forward to re-feeding having successfully come down from a size 20 to a curvy size 14. The best thing I have ever done.

If I can....ANYONE can!!!!!

I dont think I would have been able to loose the baby weight without this diet, in fact I know I wouldn't have been able to. Also, I used to spend more than £36 just on a Saturday night before, so it is definately worth it. Go for it xx
