Hi all,

After falling off the wagon in my first week last night :eek: I thought it was time to start a food diary.

Breakfast:

Fresh melon and pineapple (bear in mind I didn't get up til nearly 11 - it was a heavy night in Swansea!)

Lunch:

2 small slices wholemeal bread toast (HexB)
Scraping of countrylife spreadable butter (3.5 syns)
Co-op reduced fat brussels pate (1 syn)
Morrisons Chicken and sweetcorn cup a soup with croutons (5 syns)
2 babybel light (part of HexA)
Big salad with mixed leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, 1 tbsp Co-op reduced fat Thousand Island dressing (1 syn) - never again, yuk!

Snacks:

Packet of Walkers builder's breakfast crisps (6.5 syns)
Co-op freshly squeezed orange juice ice lolly (2 syns)
Melon
Pineapple

Supper:

Chicken breast coated in a small amount of flour and paprika, cooked in a bit of olive oil and butter (approx 5 syns)
Peas
Butternut squash bacon risotto from the EE cook book (free on EE)
Tiny amount of reduced fat cheddar grated (rest of HexA)

Dessert:

Strawberries
Pineapple
Grapes
Fat free fromage frais with sweetener


Wow!! That's loads and loads of food :(

If anyone can help me with the syns values for the ones I don't know I'd be grateful, but I'm sure it's well over 15, eeeeks!

Hi, your diary looks good, im not sure on the syns but cupasoups average 5syns each, as a rough guide 20cals is 1syn if you carnt find the exact syns, have a great sw day

Definitely over 15, lol! Came out as about 18.5 syns for yesterday, oops!

Monday 3rd May (EE)

Breakfast:

Mullerlight and grapes

Lunch:

Roast dinner:-
Pork
1oz crackling (7.5 syns)
Roast potatoes cooked in fry light
Loads of carrots, french beans and cauliflower
Gravy made with meat juices (7.5 syns)

Supper (proposed!):

2 x wholemeal bread toast (HexB)
Baked beans
42g reduced fat cheddar (HexA)
Lots of salad - lettuce, cucumber, pepper, tomatoes, spring onions, fat free fromage frais (or Tesco Light Choices natural cottage cheese)

Total syns: 15

Well, here I am again!! :D Here's today's food diary - Tuesday 4th May (EE)

Breakfast:

Mandarin mullerlight
Apple

Lunch:

Butternut squash and bacon risotto
Salad

Supper:

Omelette - 3 eggs, 42g low fat cheddar (HexA), chives, salt and pepper
Loads of little plum and cherry tomatoes
Bacon
Mushrooms cooked in fry light
1 tbsp ketchup (1 syn)
2 slices of wholemeal from a 400g loaf (HexB)
10g serving Flora extra light (0.5 syns)

Snacks (so far!):

19 mikados (9.5 syns - oops!)


Total syns: 11 (much better after the weekend's blow out, haha!)

1 Kelloggs Fibre plus bar (soooooooooooooo yummy!!) (5.5 syns)

How quickly 6 syns turned into 14.5, lol!! xx

Your menus look good. I think I'll try the butternut squash and bacon risotto next week.
 
Can it not freeze (never even done a risotto!)?
I usually do stews, bolognese, chili, etc...in bulk and then freeze...we usually have these every thursdays and fridays when there's nothing else left!
 
Friday 7th May (EE)

Well I'm very pleased with myself as I managed to resist the potato wedges, cheese and bacon on our weekly lunchtime visit to the pub! Yay!

Lunch:

Ham minestrone soup
Kelloggs fibre plus bar (yummy! :D) (HexB)

Supper:

Slice of smoked gammon (fat removed and grilled)
SW chips
Grilled plum tomatoes
Mushrooms fried in fry light
Egg fried in fry light
2 tbsp tomato ketchup (2 syns)

Snacks:

Mullerlight (vanilla with chocolate sprinkles - so lush!!)
6 mikados (3 syns)
Chocolate fudge alpen light bar (3 syns)
Banana
250ml semi-skimmed milk (HexA)

Pork steaks marinaded in syn free barbeque sauce

Mashed potato with quark

Snacks:

Sweetened quark with an Options Indulgence sachet (Banoffee) (3 syns)
