Size 10 screaming to get out!!

I'm putting my WI off and doing it Friday this week - hoping one more day's being back on it will make the world of difference...

Since I ate all weekend I am feeling mighty hard done by now I'm back on it. I cheered myself up by a new order and have got individual sachets of shepherds pie, carbonara, raspberry and white chocolate bar and shake, raspberry porridge, sausages (how weird do they look?) and some pancakes. It's pretty sad how excited I am by this....!

Glad you're back on it and good luck for weigh in - I love the raspberry and white chocolate bar - yum :D

All the bars are good to be honest but I am starting to dread my vanilla shake in the evening. I'm looking forward to trying the carbonara although I suspect it will look a bit like sick...

I wish it was real carbonara!

My food porn addiction has got into full swing as well as always- nigella's how to eat and the thesaurus of flavours on my bedside table. Nigella bites in the post...

Real carbonara shouldn't have cream in it, just eggs, parmasan, pepper and pasta and a bit of pasta water as well as pancetta or pigs cheek. Or so I was told in Rome, home of the carbonara. Nothing unhealthy in there ;)

Gah! I was hungry so ate my usual chicken thighs (but 3 instead of 2, as was very hungry today). Then Booie treated me and had bought me an avocado bless him, with tuna and some salad leaves. So I ended up eating that too. Oops. Having my revolting vanilla shake then hoping to lose some weight tonight whilst I'm asleep before WI in the morning...!

And my portions of pasta are, in all honesty, probably about 4 "normal" portions worth. Hence why I rarely eat it.

STS this week. I moved the scales around the bathroom in the vain hope they might say a loss but they said +3lbs so I have ignored that weight entirely. So basically I'm just picking the lowest weight my scales tell me each week! I don't feel any slimmer and I deserve to put on a stone to be honest after all I ate.

I need to re-assess my weekends. It is fairly clear I am going to break the diet every weekend but to continue losing weight I need to do as little damage as possible. Tonight I'm meant to be at a small festival thing which will mean drinking but I'm going to try to stick to vodka and diet coke. There's a BBQ there but I might have a wrap before I go - so carbs in it to prevent the alcohol making me too ill but something like chicken and coleslaw in it rather than have a dirty burger. Or maybe some sushi?

Tomorrow I'm on a promise to make a lasagne so I will have that with some salad and I will do garlic bread but try and avoid it. I will have red wine (depending on how hungover I am). Sunday I know I will end up having something but I think I should limit it to breakfast or lunch only then straight on it and no alcohol that day. I want to take the dog out for another long walk and it's sloe picking time (early this year) so maybe I will go out and do that.

My good intentions went ok. Until Sunday. Friday I stuck to vodka and had a reasonable dinner. Saturday I was ok, had the lasagne as planned but nothing else, although did have garlic bread. Sunday I ate breakfast but then was bought a cream cake and then finished off a bit of mince for dinner albeit with zero rice.

Today my delivery came. I like the water flavouring which do not have aspartame in them so it would make a better alternative to coke zero which I drink far too much of. I have had bad stomach cramps the last few days and wonder if it's connected to my diet. Not good.

About to have a raspberry and white chocolate shake but something tells me I won't like it...

Can't wait for that carbonara tomorrow. Might bulk it with zero rice :)

I tell a lie. That was quite nice. Way better than a vanilla shake which I'm REALLY sick of now :(

I've not tried that shake, I love the bar though, had it this evening with a hot cherry shake.

Keep at it :)

Mm not sure about hot cherry. Anything's got to be better than vanilla though...

I had my raspberry bar today but prefer the chocolate. Found the raspberry one a bit woolly. Still, I am impressed by the new ranges.

Tonight I will struggle as it's GBBO and every week I sit there drooling over everything, especially the bread episode...

Oh no, PIE week...

It's ok as I had my carbonara. I'm impressed they can make this on the diet. And I added a whole pack of zero rice so it was a huge bowl, if a little sloppy despite following the instructions carefully. As a healthy, nutritious or sophisticated meal it's a bunch of rubbish really. It was fake tasting, and I added too many chilli flakes. But gosh was it more satisfying than a milkshake. If felt like an actual meal :) I'll be ordering a box of those I reckon...

I love the carbonara - I add about 10mls extra water and leave it to soak for about 1/2 hour then microwave it for 4-5 minutes and it thickens up lovely.

Hope today's a good one for you :)

I'll try that next time then. It reminds me of those pasta and sauce packets you get. Funny what seems appealing on this diet!

3lbs off this week and one stone in total. 1lb off that dreaded mini goal - "consider exercise, join gym etc". The gym is £40 a month so I don't think I'll be doing that but there's some classes and stuff in the local area. Jogging is a no-no, everyone I know gets injuries. I'd like to do Pilates but I suspect two or three classes a week will cost MORE than the gym. I have a DVD but it's difficult to properly stretch out on my tiny lounge floor...

So, falling off the wagon but only over two days did not do me too much harm. This weekend? I think I can rein it in better. Technically I only need to fall off on Sunday when a friend comes for dinner and pub quiz but I can't drink too much as work the next day.

Congratulations on the stone loss, feels fabulous to know it's gone.

I love Pilates and could always really feel the effects - any room down the side of your bed? If so you could get a book from the library or learn the exercises on your DVD and just do them in a separate room.

Otherwise I can't recommend walking enough, I can't believe how different I feel from doing a good walk each day.

I'm sure you'll find something that's right for you :) x

Thanks :) I walk the dog every day now - before we moved the landlord used to take him out most days so we kind of got away with not taking him out every day. Sometimes Booie takes him and sometimes we take him together. So most days I walk around 20-45 minutes depending on how long he has gone out at lunch (he goes to work with Booie) and at the weekend usually an hour or more. I'm sure there's some muscles in my side that I can feel since I've been doing it! I need some serious toning though. Despite a stone loss there are just handfuls (as usual) on my stomach and above my stomach. I swear when I lose weight it all just comes off my face, arms and legs! The Pilates would do it I reckon. Yoga's not good for me as I'm really double jointed. There was one time I was considering pole dancing classes...

"Celebrated" my weight loss last night by replacing my dinner shake with a plate of cooked turkey from the smokehouse part of the deli at the Co-Op with a big dollop of coleslaw. Don't know if I should have had my shake too as I don't feel great today, feel a bit wobbly and shaky. Unfortunately I have also gone out and got a frozen yoghurt for lunch, especially as I was feeling dodge. It was virtuous blueberry and mango with blueberries on top but then I had some granola and white chocolate. I'm still going to have my shake though...

Uh-oh. I've turned into a coleslaw fiend and that's not low fat at all. I think I'm working on the basis that it's not carbohydrate-y and is essentially vegetables, ignoring the fact of the massively high fat mayo all over it. My weekend off-the-wago went better than some weekends as I managed low carb Friday night and Saturday (despite wine) and Sunday I had Chinese. Yesterday I thought I'd have chicken and coleslaw for lunch then got home and Booie had cooked us a chicken especially! So I had coleslaw with that!! Then, ahem, I had some coleslaw and chicken to finish for today's lunch. I think I just got bored of the shakes. I have a whole new batch of Exante meals coming so should be able to get back on it hopefully. Still having a bar every morning :).

I'm going to suffer for the coleslaw onslaught. I feel fatter already. Although ironically everyone at work NOW seems to notice that I've lost weight....

There's also 3 tubs of ice-cream in the freezer from the weekend.
