Taz's diary - Need to do this!

sounds like you are sorted taz :D i went swimming last night too. only managed 20 lengths, used to do 60 so i want to work my way back up to that. taking it slowly though because of my back. i don't seem to be able to stop eating at the moment. it's really freaking me out. so i need to get more active or i'm going to be the size of a house!! one of my friends wants a gym buddy too. so i have agreed to do that with her :) when i found out how much it cost i was astonished. the £30 a month gym and swim deal with the council seems great now. but i want to make sure i'll actually go first before committing to a contract thingy... need to do an induction. might try and do that this weekend maybe?

abz xx

I've got the council gym and swim thingy but there's no contract so if my commitment wains I will just cancel it. So far this week I have used £21.20 worth of activities so I am doing well so far! I swam half a mile this afternoon and it took 35 minutes which I don't think is too bad

Much better than me. The last time I did it I too 50 minutes and that was just after physio when everything was loosened up. I usually take about an hour - I'm a bit of a plodder x

hi everybody, can somebody tell me if muller lights have a syn value, everybody is raving on about the flavoured muller lights, and at the moment they are on offer in most supermarkets so i wanted to check before buying some, thanks x

Looking Good in Taz's world :) x

The January "Get your arse in gear" syndrome I reckon - it's gotta kick in sooner or later x

Hi all, yes Becky as Gilly says, all the muller lights are free except the choc/cherry ones which are 2 syns and totally worth it!

Hey Nas, I need to get fit for my black belt grading in November and while I have the time I am going to make the most of it! BUT the weight wont be dropping off if I eat like I did last night! My friends have just moved house and they invited us round last night. I ate a whole small pizza(!) 2 slices of garlic bread and 2 chicken strips! Not surprising that I am 2lb up this morning! That means I now have to lose 4lb by Wednesday to get back on track for a loss!

hey taz - well done on joining the gym. did the same thing myself this week. must be something in the air!!!
How are you finding it Karen? I didn't expect to enjoy it at all as I have previously joined 2 gyms and really not found the motivation to go but this time I don't have to be dragged there kicking and screaming, I actually go there willingly. I am supposed to be going there today to set my personal training plan but I forgot I had other commitments (which I had a really bizarre dream about last night, but that's another story!) so I will have to change the appointment. I will have to check with mother as it's her birthday tomorrow and I don't know what she has planned other than dinner in the evening so I am going to be in the area anyway so i might be able to fit it in tomorrow.

I am hoping it's not just a January thing for me Gem, I have to commit to a new healthier and fitter lifestyle and I HAVE to get through my grading in November. I have seen people barely able to stand after, I have seen people chucking their guts up halfway through. I don't want to be one of those people!

You seem to be really committed Taz. I reckon you might be OK with it x

I am at the moment Gem, I hope it stays like this. The biggest test will be when I go back to work and have to fit it in to my work schedule! But until then I am going to make the most of it!
