TETRA SHAKES

Okay so i'm on day 3 and Struggling a bit (well a lot! ) I put a msg on earlier on the "its thursday lets do it hour by hour! "

I hate the soups:sign0137: and not keen on the aftertaste that the shakes have!!!
Loads of advice was to try the tetra's but my CDC said that I shouldn't have them until week 3

It it wasn't for my Holiday but more-so the support/advice given on here I would most def give up !!!!!! :help2:

Can't think why you can't havethe tetras - I had them from day one, and continued to do so all the way through.

I thought it was the bars that you weren't supposed to have for the first couple of weeks because of the higher carb content and this could have an effect on getting into ketosis??

PS: The choc tetra's are delish!

I was told you were allowed the Tetra's from day 1 as well.
Definitely only thought it was the bars you weren't allowed for the first two weeks.

Strange...

I'm sure another CDC may be along to confirm if we're confused or not...

I understand that you dont like the soups they are an acquired taste, BUT have you tried making them into crisps - they are fantastic! Well the chick/mushroom & veg ones are - not sure what sort of crisps the others make....

Also - how are you making your shakes? Chocolate ones are nice split in half with a tablet sweetner and tspn coffee - or even linus the coffee, same goes for the vanilla... I find them too much in 1 hit and always split my shake packs into two portions and find this helps. If you only like them cold then ICE and a BLENDER are a MUST xxxx

No no no no! Don't give up.... you have taken your hardest step and started on the CD.
IT WORKS.... just look at the sensational people who have benefitted and don't they look gorgeous???
Not sure what to say if you don't like the taste of the soups and shakes only keep tasting until you find some you like.
I am 'addicted' to Oriental chilli and I can't wait to have it for lunch or dinner each day (i mean how sad is that eh??)...
I am only on my second week and I did stumble magnificently on Sunday... thanks to the support on here I picked myself up and started again.
The second week is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier I can't begin to tell you.
Once your body goes into ketosis, you don't get the hunger pangs - you only crave food or eating..... so occupy yourself with something else and take your mind off the desire to eat.
I think it's day 3 when your body starts to go into ketosis and I promise it will make a difference.
I know its hard - nothing worth having is easy though is it???
Just think of your holiday and that beautiful beach bod.... ;)
It's not for a lifetime.... and the weight will shift quickly....
half a pound a week would be so soul destroying eh?
This works and please please please don't give up. I promise you that when you stand on those scales and you see how much the needle drops you will feel amazing.
As my CDC says 'nothing tastes as good as being slim feels'......
Good luck, take each day as it comes and keep at it...

It's only the bars you can't ahve until week 3 not the Tetras. I would ask again if they still say no get them to call CD HQ, they are lovely, try them with the Mousse make angel delight mmmmmmm

Just noticed mines are all Lactose free Some peeps say they are horrible could this be why I dislike them so much?
and how do I make the crisps any ? any tips and advice really appreciated!

Carly - there's a 'sticky thread' at the top of this page in with all the 'stickys' that lists a whole load of inventive ideas for changing soups and shakes... Some people make muffins out of them xxxx

Carly the shakes that aren't lactose free are loads nicer.
I do like the choc orange lactose free shake but the others are yacki in my opinion.

Try the others first, and double check about the tetras hun

Stick with it!!

i had the tetra's from week one..i think your cdc is filling you with c*** thats really unfair if you cant get any. i know im going a bit ott here but if i didnt have the tetra's i would not be on this diet!!

I hate the lactose free shakes, see if your CDC will swap them, believe me the choc mint is to die for.

To make muffins - which I live on, mix in a bowl to a paste blitz in the microwave for approx 1 minute (700-800w) middle is squidgy and yummy. Remember to have an extra glass of water because you're not having it int he shake.

Yes not keen on Lactose free ones either especially choc orange.Try the others much better and I had Tetras from Day one too.

Sticky threads are the threads at the top which are on premanently so you can find them easily.
If still struggling click on forum jump and highlight cambridge diet and they are at the top.Food pack ideas is about half way down on the stickys.
