I love to make soup so thought I would share a couple of recipies. I am going to give the ingreadients and calories etc for 4 servings (3 ladels per serving) calories as worked out on myfitnesspal.com and each soup I will put on a seperate thread.
 
1 Cup Green Soup

Ingreadients
1 cup (100g) frozen peas
1 cup (100g) frozen cabbage
1 cup (100g) frozen broad beans
4 frozen circles of spinach
1/2 cup (50g) diced onion (ASDA sell frozen onion)
2 cloves garlic diced (or 1 table spoon garlic paste)
1 vegetable stock pot (I buy the Knor ones)
Salt n Pepper
1 litres boiling water
5 squirts fry light

Method

Fry and sweat off the onion and garlic in the fry light
add all the veggies
add the stock and water
leave to simmer for 10 minutes

Wizz with a hand blender add salt n pepper to taste n eat

Calories : 68 per serving and Fat : 1.6g

1 Cup Orange Soup

Ingreadients

1 cup (100g) red lentils
1 cup sliced carrots (100g) [you can use the tinned sliced value carrots or frozen carrot or fresh your choice]
1/2 a fresh orange [or 2 table spoons of orange juice from a carton]
1/2 cup (50g) diced onion [you can buy frozen or fresh ready diced onion]
2 cloves garlic diced
1 vegetable stock pot
1/2 a tea spoon chilli flakes
1 litre boiling water
salt n pepper to taste
5 squirts fry light

Method

Sweat off the onions and garlic in 5 squirts of fry light
add the lentils, stock and water
leave on a medium heat for 10 minutes
add the carrots
leave on a lower heat for 10 more minutes
add the chilli flakes

Wizz with a hand blender add the juice of orange, salt n pepper to taste n eat

Calories : 108 per serving and Fat : 1.1g
 
Yellowish Soup - Pepper, Parsnip and Curry (hubby is muttering no it is brown!!)

Ingreadients

1/2 cup (50g) diced onion
2 cloves garlic diced
2 large yellow peppers diced
1 cup (100g) frozen parsnips (probably around 3 fresh ones)
1 vegetable stock pot
1 table spoon curry powder (I use medium use milder or hotter if you prefer)
5 squirts fry light
Salt n pepper to taste


Method

Sweat off the onion and garlic
add the pepper and parsnips
add the stock
add the curry powder

Leave to simmer for 10 minutes
Wizz with a stick blender
add salt n pepper to taste

Calories : 43 Fat : 2g

you are both most welcome, hubby has just asked "when can you make green soup again" as we finished the pot I made this arvo!! so guess what i am making tomoro!! x

yup defo, hubby worked out cost of making all 3 soups comes to just over £5 for significantly more than the portion sizes above
 
if you open our freezer youd find : (I just rearranged it all hence how I know)

2 x 1kg bags frozen spinach (unopened) -
1 x 1kg bag frozen spinach (half used)
2 x 1kg bag frozen broad beans (unopened)
3 x 1kg bag frozen brocoli (unopened)
2 x 1kg bag frozen diced onion (unopened)
1/2 x 1kg bag frozen sliced peppers
2 x frozen salmon filets (6 filets per bag)
2 x frozen tuna steaks (6 per bag) [salmon and tuna on 2 bags for £5)
a tub of locally made pistachio kulfi (which is hubbys n think he has forgotten he has)
3 x packs beef mince
6 chicken breasts

Made stuff I have frozen :
Lamb stock, chicken stock,
Chicken Liver pate,
Chicken and sasuage casserole (2x 4 meals worth)
 
Im coming to yours for Dinner then lol. sounds a lot better than whats in mine!
Potato Smileys, Birds Eye Chicken Fingers, Frozen Veg and Oven Chips. Oh and some Salmon that I cant eat.

Why cant you have the salmon? I have salmon a few times a week with no problem

Fish doesnt agree with me, and defo doesnt now im on xenical.

If you look back through the threads a lo of people find salmon & Xenical don't mix so you're not alone.
 
Fish particularly salmon is fatty. It's good omega fats though so healthy for you unfortunately xenical doesn't differentiate between good and bad fats and gets rid of them in the same way

Mushroom n Brocoli Soup (another green soup!!)

100g mushrooms sliced
50g diced onion
360g brocoli
1 vegetable stock pot
1 litre water
salt n pepper to taste
3 cloves garlic
5 squirts fry light

saute the onion n garlic in the fry light

cook everything up and then whizz with a stick blender

calories 46 fat 2g
