Watch_her_fly's Lipotrim Diary!

Dr Ali has has some toilet advice....apologies - but I have to share!

I had a talk to a specialist nurse. She says that adults also need toilet training! With vlcds we have much less to pass. However, we need to give ourselves a chance to go. She recommends that you go to the loo everyday regardless of whether you want to 'go' or not. Sit on the toilet for 10 minutes and get your knees as high as poss by propping up on a box or chair. That position helps your body excrete. After 10 minutes get off, and do the same thing everyday at the same time - pref in the morning earlier rather than later. Being well hydrated helps too.

You are doing brilliant to stay on track - make sure you talk to the chemist when you WI and ask her/his advice.

hope the rest of today goes well,

Ali

Hey doc! Thanks for the great advice! I will try this as really want to go naturally instead of getting 'assistance' I really don't trust taking anything to make me go now!

Its really funny to think of adults needing toilet training, but its true! I for one wasn't going in the optimum position! I think the bathroom is the one place I am safe to look silly without fear of being caught!! Hope you are doing ok hun and staying strong! xx

Day 30!

Soooo I have an end date for my 100% TFR due to a holiday i've booked for June! I plan to eat sensibly when i'm away but have no intention of staying TFR as I want to enjoy the foreign cuisine!

This is the first time i've set myself an end date which is weird! My last WI will be tuesday 29th May giving me a week of re-feed before I go away. After my week away I plan to get onto WW and lose the rest of the weight.

So with 13 weigh in's to go I am hoping that with a loss of 3lb per week I can get another 3 stone off. If I can get off 3stone 1lb I will be 13'7 and bloody delighted! It will be weird going on holiday, not afraid of the seatbelt not fitting, and not being afraid of walking all day!

I WILL do this!!

Well done so far Amz.. The way you are going i am SURE you will reach your goal, and what a great incentive to keep you motivated!! x x

You will be looking FANTASTIC for your hols, and yes the seatbelt will fit, the tray will come down easily and the flight will be so much more comfortable :) I have flown both heavy and a lot slimmer, and the difference really is astonishing as to how comfortable you are when lighter.

I think it's nice to set an end date. It's the first time I've ever done it really. A couple of years ago, I did plan to come off for Christmas, but had every intention of getting back on it afterwards (didn't really happen properly!). This time though, I plan to end TFR at 14 weeks (98 days) and move to another diet to lose the rest. I have my 40th birthday in April, so it would be nice to go for a meal or something. However, if when the time comes I'm still going well, I will commit to a week at a time and see how I go. Once I've had enough though, that's it. I'll be off it. No guilt! :) Having the 14 weeks promised to myself though means I will battle through the tough days as I know I only have x amount of days/weeks left before (guilt free) I can stop :) I am sure this will help me feel less of a failure than I would if I just sort of drifted off the diet, cheating a bit here and there (as done in the past). Maybe I have learnt from past mistakes. I can only hope :) xx

Thanks lady! I also think it helps to have an end date - I know that when we get there we will have a sense of pride, instead of a sense of disappointment if we come off plan mis-guidedly. Whenever I think about how much time is left, I just imagine myself on my end date, and the weight I will be and that is what keeps me going. I think i'd go into a massive depression if I gave in early. I can just imagine getting on the plane being 16 stone instead of 13 stone :( NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

It's so nice you have gotten going with the weightloss in time for your 40th (you dont look anywhere near 40 by the way)! I guess its the same with you, you won't be as happy having your birthday meal if you have come off plan too early. We have to satisfy that nagging feeling inside!!

Hope you have a great day :) xxx

Thanks! :)

I will miss my birthday meal and celebrate at a later date though if I am still going strong at that time. It will be a week by week thing once I hit the 14 week mark.

We're both going to do great. You know what they say - fail to plan, plan to fail! We won't fail! :) xx

Day 31

Still going strong - have decided to come off of my pill (the mini pill) has apart from two days I have bled for the last 4 weeks and I cant take it anymore. I can only assume it is my pill mixing with some sort of LT induced hormone and it is ruining me! I really hope this works! I can't wait until my BMI is under 35 and I can then hopefully have the normal combined pill! They won't give it to me at the moment because of my weight.

Have set a date of 1st June to go shopping with my mum for my summer wardrobe! I really hope i'll be 13'7 and about a size 16-18. Maxi dresses here I come!

Was hoping to do a long walk this weekend but the weather looks awful. I need to man up and just stick on a coat and get on with it!!

Have brought in my boots to the office today to go for a stroll at lunch which will be nice!

Weight get off already! xxxx

Yep, no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices ;) Get out there and have a good walk :)

Have a good weekend, and yay to the clothes shopping date being set :) xx

Day 34

Back at work after a lovely weekend....work is so manic and stressful I just want to be out on a nice walk when it's bright outside!

Got my 5th WI tomorrow and have 8.5lbs to get into the 15's do im hoping for that over the next 3 weeks.

I am wearing my trousers to work that I wore to my first weigh in and they are actually falling down. It's great but embarassing!

I still haven't focused enough on exercise, just can't seem to get fired up for it. The evenings are so short! I am making excuses! I have my boots at work with me today so I WILL go for an hours walk at lunch ... no excuses!

Still 100% which I am proud of. I am long bored of the shakes, they are just a chore now! I am looking forward to being able to eat socially, but healthily again, but even more looking forward to being a size 16/18 when I do it!! xx

Thanks hun, feel really proud I walked at a good pace for 45 minutes and got a bit breathless (in a good way)! It's a great feeling when it is done!

Did you have a nice walk? xx

Day 35

5th weigh in done and another 5lbs gone! Upping the exercise and coming off of the pill seems to be working for me! I'm now so focused on getting 4lb off by next week so I am in the 15's. I may actually cry when that happens!

It's weird to think in October I was 19'6 and went down to 17'13 with WW before starting LT and i'm now 16'3. I can't believe it.

Have to stay focused. Keep walking, Keep moving and Keep drinking water!

This is the most boring diet ever, but it has allowed me to replace the time I used to spend eating with taking up more productive things. Calling friends and family, researching holidays, exercising, HOUSEWORK lol.
