well done on the lb off - enjoy having the family round for dinner. Quiet weekend here too my son is 2 today so a little cake tonight but no big party thankfully.

I haven't managed to post since Friday as been so busy and as a result am feeling very tired. Had a nice weekend, quiet and no alcohol which I am sure is helping me stay within my syns. I am still on track and still walking 2 miles everyday which is taking me approx 30 mins, today was 28 minutes :) I am hoping to start doing more exercise, I have ordered The Biggest Loser Wii game so can't wait to get started on that. Hope everyone is having a good week ~ away now to catch up on the other diaries. xx
 
Oh Mary I did wonder why you hadnt posted - the exercise and lack of alcohol should help you keep losing nicely right the way to target with only 12lb to go you are so nice and close :)
 
well done on keeping up with the walking and the alcohol free weekend too. Good to hear things are going well for you.

Can't believe it is back round to WI day again ~ I sts, AF is due today and I feel terribly bloated. Despite this week being so hectic I have remained 100% so hopefully next week I will see a loss. I am actually going to calorie count for a week, just to see how I get on ~ Hellie had recommended a fab website called myfitnesspal.com so going to use the food diary on there. I imagine I will be keen to get back on to SW again but I feel I want to give it a try. I am still walking everyday, my game hasn't arrived yet, I wish it would hurry up!

Nothing much planned for the weekend ~ another quiet one :) ~ so much easier to stay on plan when there is no socialising to do. Can't even go to the cinema as we have watched everything we want to see. Btw I can recommend Avatar and Sherlock Holmes but I did not like The Book of Eli despite loving Denzel Washington! Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xx

I have joined my fitness pal too - seems very comprehensive - but I am still eating the SW way :)
 
Have a lovely weekend Mary - I long for a weekend when we have nothing on socially, we are out again this weekend to my mum's for lunch on Sunday. There will be cake!
Next weekend should be nice and peaceful.

have a lovely weekend hun, i've not a lot planned either, just a load of housework and work to do at home as well. Be lovely to chill out a bit too. Must try to exercise more, that has really gone down hill for me in recent weeks.

To STS when star week is upon you is fabulous, so well done.

But calorie counting? YUK!! The best thing about SW is that you don't have to worry about counting calories imo.

I hope it works, but I am concerned that doing a hybrid of SW and calorie counting too won't give you a fair WI next week. Personally I would have stuck with SW and ensured I was 100%. If nothing else, it is easier lol

Thanks H, still having a quiet one ~ went a walk yesterday, done some housework and watched a film last night. Today I am for my mums then home to watch Dancing On Ice, so a very enjoyable weekend xx

Thanks Dave ~ I must admit I not really enjoying this calorie counting business ~ I guess SW just fits in so beautifully with everyday life whereas with calorie counting I am having to weigh items and I do seem to be conscious of what I can eat next. Whether it is all in my mind or not but since starting it on Friday I seem to be thinking of nothing but food!! I will stick it out for the next 5 days but I know I will glad to be back to SW again on Friday xx

Having a nice quiet weekend ~ going for a walk before I head to my mum's. Busy week ahead ~ my decluttering has sort of came to a standstill so getting back to that tomorrow plus a lot on at work this week. Have a new goal to aim for (friend's 40th birthday party at the end of March) so would love 5lbs off for that. Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend xx
 
Hi mary, really interested in your calorie counting exercise this week. i too am using the myfitnesspal website, but rather than just calorie counting i've decided to put in a weeks worth of pre-planned SW meals and see what the calorie intake is. I'm not changing what i'm planning to eat for dinner, for eg, but it is making me think twice about that extra banana to snack on, or that mullerlight for pud - do i really need it if it's going to tip the balance of calories in/out for that day? I'm also obsessed with this, and i know it's not really healthy or sustainable in the long term, but i've needed a boost lately with my weight loss, and i'm just using it to be more aware of what i'm putting in my gob, i suppose. :p

good luck with it this week, and keep us updated on your progress.

I'm very naughty and weigh in every morning at home ( i know, i know!) but i'm starting to see results from just doing this since Friday, so who knows...it might be a good combo - SW and monitoring calories? xxx
