    TOMATOES!

They're not allowed on CWP up until Step 4, 1200 plan, because they're very sugary. On SS they'll knock you out of ketosis. A shame, I know.

I posted on here because I wanted bars but was worried they'd slow my losses. Various people said to go for it, and I'm so glad I did! Having such a treat every day is doing wonders for my motivation.

You can get them at Holland and Barrett, they come in capsules that you swallow whole, so they're perfect if you don't like powdered fibre.

    Ohhhh im so stupid!

You're not stupid or a pig. You made a mistake, like everyone does. It may impact on your weigh-in, but next time you're tempted, use that for motivation. You can put this right behind you and move on.

    bars dilemma

Hi all Looking for some advice. I have two tetras a day and a soup. I don't like CD soups all that much - tend to go for tomato chilli because it's easier to make. I am so tempted to tell my CDC I don't want any more soups and have a bar instead. I have had bars before and know I really...

Dont like my new scales ! Can they be right ?

I only use my home scales and the CDC scales and I am always three pounds heavier on the CDC ones. That's my official weight that goes on statistics here. I will not get on any other scales as it just confuses me and messes with my head. That's even though I know the ones in the gym will say...

slow progress - but I'm happy

Hi all I just wanted to reflect on my current CD progress. I've been on the diet [810 plan] 8 weeks. I've lost 23lbs. The first month was hard but the losses were great. The second month has been slow, partly because of a planned break, but for the first time ever I looked forward to...

    HELP ME PLEASE .....

I am am 810/1000 plan dieter all the way. The very thought of SS scares me, although I have huge admiration for those who do succeed with it. But even with 810 or 1000, I find it important to stick to it 100% to get the quick losses, and that sense of calm that comes from knowing exactly what...

    Bizarre ketosis times

Your body does always use glucose first. 25% of the calories you need are used by your brain, and your brain can only use glucose. When you're in ketosis, so no glucose stores and only eating a tiny amount of sugars, your liver converts calories from other sources like protein and fat into the...

Does any1 else talk themselves out of the right frame of mind?

I have lost and regained weight several times through going back to old habits, so when I've eaten off plan or am tempted to, I say to myself firmly 'you are going back to your old habits and you are going to gain back all the weight you've lost just like you did before. Is that what you want...

    Lunch event - feeling great!

I have a 48 hour break from the diet this weekend, will be on a yacht at sea and eating whatever's served, so it's really inspiring to hear from someone who's had to eat off-plan and found it a positive experience.

    Damn school run

Fibre is the best long-term solution. You can take it every day for as long as you need, unlike stimulant laxatives like senna, which should only be taken occasionally. If you don't mind fibre powder, made of psyllium husks, you can get some from your CDC. Some add it to shakes. You could also...

    1 stone in a month?

I lost 16lbs in my first month on 810 plan, which is three products, a small amount of veg and low fat dairy, and a generous portion of low fat protein. This is suitable for people with lower BMIs. Mind you, I wouldn't expect to lose a stone in a month once I was within a stone of goal, as...

    Struggling

I had a blip and then ten days when the scales didn't move. I knew I looked much thinner, but I did start to panic and think that 810 didn't work any more. Perhaps you could chat to your CDC about your next move. You've achieved so much with CD, it would be a shame to leave now. CWP advise that...

Why are you doing this diet..?

I'm doing this diet because I need a structured plan with support, I like the one to one consultations rather than being in a group, I like the products, and I know it gives good quick results. I also like that there's a sound medical basis to it so I know it's healthy, and there's a proper...

What are you liking from the cd products?

I love the tetras! Chocolate is by far the nicest, I have one a day as a special treat, right at the end of the day with a cup of tea. I have strawberry tetra for breakfast. I also like oriental chilli soup and spicy tomato soup, and peanut and mint bars, although I'm not having any bars this...

Constant stress keeps causing me to fail

    exercise

On SS you're not advised to do exercise. Some people find it helpful, especially if they're used to it, but many find it stalls their losses. Exercise is part of my life so I went on 810 and I'm going to the gym for stretching, light weights and some walking on the treadmill, but really trying...

    Quorn sausages on ss +?

Are you sure we can have sausages? 810 meal thread sticky and the Cambridge Weight Plan spiral bound book say you can have quorn pieces or mince. The book doesn't mention sausages and the 810 meal thread has a post from a CDC saying definitely not allowed, full of carbs.

    WATER!

I will be starting tomorrow on the 1000cal

1000 is a good plan and you should lose about 2-3lbs a week. I did it before going on 810 and lost 18lbs in just over two months. Tummy Ache/constipation (dont read if your squeamish!)

The CWP products do seem very binding, I think because they've got so much iron in. The CWP powder is a good idea, it bulks things up rather than stimulates your gut, so it isn't like dulcolax or senna and can be taken every day long-term. I use fibre capsules [psyllium husk] from Holland and...

    1000cal plan anyone?

I have done 1000 plan with good results. There is a messageboard specifically for it on this site. The advantage is that it's much more like a conventional diet than lower plans. Is going in and out of ketosis bad for you?

No, it's fine. It's a natural metabolic state and some people go in and out of it all the time without noticing depending on how long it is since they've eaten, whether they had carbs and so on. On 1000 plan I'm not in ketosis usually but will go into it overnight or if I choose lower carb...

    Depressed :(

When you do SoleSource, your body lets go of about 5lbs of water and glucose stored in your liver. Anyone had a weight gain?

It's your body storing glucose and water again because you are on a less strict diet. Assuming that you are sticking to 810 and therefore eating far fewer calories than you use, it will stabilise, and then you'll start to lose fat weight again.

    Levels of ketosis

I wouldn't worry too much about ketosis. Ketosis is desirable because it stops you feeling hungry and protects you from losing muscle tissue. But I've worked with young people who use ketosis as a way to control epilepsy and they don't all lose weight, it depends on the calories they eat...
