5+ stones to lose team

    have just joined minimins, have a hefty 5stones to lose .. does anyone fancy joining me, think its going to be a long ride .. but im sooo inspired by the slimming world mag before/after pics .. if they can do it, so can we !!

    Hey lulu, I don't mind joining, I have about seven stones to lose and could really do with some support especially as other half is so lucky that he can scoff down so much food and not put on a pound and all I have to do sniff his food and I put on half a stone lol, are you an at home weigher or do you go to group, hope you are getting on with the plan nicely and good luck, we can do this.

    we can do this .. have you broken your stones down into achievable goals? i plan to try and lose 1 stone every 3 months so 4 stone over the course of the year .. ive always set unrealistic goals so am going to take the scenic route this time round
    i have little one and its a bit dark and cold to be carting him along to the meeting (7.30pm) so have decided to weigh from home .. i know will be missing out from the support of a class, but im determined to lose this weight just need to keep focused
    i was totally motivated when wrote my first post, planned to start the following day, got my shiny new scales out for the moment of truth only to find they didnt work grrrrr
    ive decided to start anyway and will just record my start weight when i get some other scales :)

    Hey, yes I have set myself small targets like at the moment I am working to getting my club 10 awards then will reset another mini target when I get there, I am attending groups after a week of doing it at home as I felt like I developed an obsession with jumping on the scales and would weigh myself twice a day ( crazy I know) and then get paranoid when the amount hadn't moved, so maybe in a way it's good that your scales aren't working that means you can't obsess like me, but I have now given the scales away and only get weighed at class, i know that doing this at home is hard but we can do this together through the good and bad days and hopefully not too many ramblings from me.

    i know what you mean about weighing yourself every other minute, i am prone to doing that but will try and force myself to weigh myself just once a week .. in fact my daughter (13) has started a small book to record my weight, bless her and *i cant believe im letting her do this* she's going to take a pic of me in same clothes standing in same part of living room once a month. im going to put fiver away a week and hopefully we can have girly day out with each stone i lose, well thats the idea anyway lol
    whats your weigh in day, perhaps i'l try and weigh in same day when ive sorted some scales out
    have you done sw before? which plan do you find easiest? im trying to stick with ee as find it easier to work round the kids meals .. i have a boy and a girl 2 and 13, terrible 2's and stroppy 13's - would drive anyone to seek comfort in the biscuit tin, lol .. do you have any children? x

    Hi Lulu and friends would you mind if I tag along too. Feel very worried as its a long way to go. I need to lose about 7 stone. Started 02 Jan 2013 and have lost about 9lb. Any help or advice would be great as well as not being here on my own. Thanks

    I have to say i thought i was the only one who found themselves looking down a long tunnel. I am now feeling so much more hopeful now. So glad i found this thread. Looking forward together is going to be great. Thank you xx :)

    Had a bit of a hard week this week but just had a lovely dinner of bacon, eggs, beans and the most gorgeous ww sausages. Can't believe they were only half a syn each!

    Sounds so nice. Mmm... we just had SW smoky one tray pork and vegetable , ok but a little on the dry side. could do with some wine, but won't go there. Promises .

    Hi to all the new joiners of the group, hope you are all getting on well with your weight losses, I have been a bit naughty today don't know why I do it to myself but started watching man v food and found myself craving something naughty and no amount of fruit could get rid of it so I had a pizza tonight, it was one of those small stone baked ones and I only had half but still feel bad even though it felt so good eating it, tomorrow I am back 100 percent on plan, as am gonna book a holiday to turkey or gran canaria and don't wanna look like a beached whale on my hols. Lulu I do not have any kids at the moment and that is one of the biggest motivations for me to lose weight my doctor told me that my chance of conceiving are really slim unless I lose some weight.
    Anyway enough about myself, I am really happy that some more people have joined and look forward to reading about all our fantastic weight losses in the future good luck we are gonna do this!

    Whens all your weigh-Ins? maybe we could write a list of all our names and then update it weekly with how much we've lost etc

    for example:

    LianneJane5687 - Weigh-In Tuesday 22.01.13
    ....... - Weigh in Weds 23.01.13
    ....... - Lost 6lb
    ....... - Gained 2lb

    etc etc and then as people weigh in they update the list. Do you get what i mean?

    It looks good to me - should we have our entire weight loss this year on there? or maybe pick a target for the year and sort of start a challenge? like x amount of lbs and then update it every week?
