9 week plank, squat, crunches challenge

I'm having to pass on this for the moment but have done over 1200 steps on my pedometer so don't feel all bad.

Well done to all who are still in it :)
 
Dear plank challenge, I'm sorry that I'm lagging, but the lurgy seems to have taken a hold of me again - have been in bed since 6pm last night! I have 66 days until the wedding, so if I have 2 more recovery days *shakes fist at lurgy*, having done day 1, I should still manage 65 (even though that might mean I'm still planking away after official challenge end!).

I wonder if it will be worth keeping going in 60ish day cycles though as it's going well due to not requiring much time (or equipment), and everyone being able to join in as it's just about doing what you can. Remember, even a 10s plank is 10s more than everyone sitting on the couch!

I need to remember your tips for plank form TH, as my head, neck and shoulders were really stiff after my day 1 plank.

Really impressed with all the progress everyone is making, and the dedication! I will be back very very soon xx

100 squats (going to have legs and buns of steel!)

32sec plank :-/

30 regular crunches
30 bicycle

Going to have to review the exercises for my wee routine. Might double the crunches and do an extra set if bicycle crunches because my belly is massive. Might also add in 10 press ups and 10 tricep dips incase the outfit I wear is sleeveless!
These are just thoughts, not actual reality!

Evening all... U will have to count me out plank challenge tonight... I slipped on some water I had only just spilt on the floor .. Get this ... Just as I was about to clean it up! Lol ...Ended up doin sideways splits ... Good job I'm not so flexible and finally stopped when I got to my max limit and didn't end up on the floor!!!

woolly socks + water on tiles = v sore hip!

Couldn't even go joggin as I planned. :( everyone thought I was making an excuse lol

On plus side I stayed 100%ts! :)

I didnt do any of this over the last few days :eek:
However, at the gym I did do a fair amount of squats as part of the exercises :D

I think I can actually see a difference since doing this. Ill get my daughter to take a photo later and ill post on my diary.

110 squats (can't imagine doing 180, but then again, I couldn't imagine doing 80!)
6x10 regular crunches
6x10 twist crunches
6x10 bicycle crunches
Plank 1.07 (I hate this exercise with a passion!)
10 press ups (I'd like to be able to do 10 man press ups (you know, the full ones)
10 tricep dips

8 weeks today till friends wedding. Im the one who decides how I will look and feel on the day :)

Just tried on the dress I had on, on Sat night. It was tight then but now I've got room. How does that work?! Might wear it again on Saturday (different set of people!)
