Leg cramps are common but I think
I'd get the chest pains checked

There's a very real danger on a VLCD that we blame the diet for everything and see everything as a possible side effect when it could be something else

I agree with Starlight; get it checked out. Its so easy to assume everything is caused by a VLCD. Its not.

The cramps I think would be normal, however, tightness in the chest needs to be checked out straight away. If you feel like someone is crushing you it could be a cardiac problem. Have your blood pressure checked (if you see flashing lights or pinky lights) you need to get your blood pressure checked out. Please get checked out, hope your ok and feeling better. X

A lot of times chest pains can be gas. Obviously if you are really concerned you should see a doctor! But some of those tablets that are supposed to neutralise gas may help. Just check the ingredients though, if you are worried about miniscule amounts of sweeteners and whatnot. I used to be a nurse's assistant in an elderly home, and we would always get false alarms from patients which turned out to be gas.

The NHS has that hotline you can call to talk to a nurse. That may be a good idea for you.

Try googling diagrams of the human body which show internal organs. The intestines go up much further in the body cavity than a lot of people realise.
