Blimp to Bombshell: RawrGirl's Weight Loss Diary

Can only reply quickly but just wanted to say that yet again our similarities scare me- I made a pig of myself this weekend, even when I was fit to burst I kept eating. I haven't had time to analyse my behaviour but for me it seems that if I'm "allowing myself a break" I try to cram in as many yummy foods as I can, as if I'm making up for lost time. I feel pathetic now. But tomorrow is another day, sigh....

Well, RawrGirl pleased herself...instead of buying 2 pizzas (and eating 3-4 slices), she bought 1 pizza and only ate 2 slices. (Of course, she then ate 2 bread sticks, but we won't mention that). And now she is going to split the chocolate cake with Prince Charming. And after that, all the ridiculous amounts of junkfood will be gone from the house (except for the ice cream, but that wasn't all that tasty/tempting anyway). And RawrGirl is thinking of doing an all shake week Mon-Thurs. She is pretty low on food anyway, so at least this way she can feel like it's choice and not like she is starving due to money, lol.

I can so relate to the overeat thing. I can stick to the gospel of low carb, low sugar for about 10 days/2 weeks and then suddenly it all goes wrong and I have no idea why. It's as if no amount/no taste in the world can satisfy me - it's always in the evening - it's never planned - it used to be emotionally instigated but it's not any more ... is it just a habit? Do I just need stronger willpower? Is it a sub conscious conflict - the following day I don't want the stuff.... Yet at the time I'd eat anything and everything, last week I ended up with crisps, a French fancy, a jam tart and a kit kat.
Sympathise with you.

Swimsuit

RawrGirl is thinking of getting this swimsuit. She'd much rather wear a bikini but even at goal her belly without surgery must be hidden. :( So anyway, she wanted to try to find a sexy one-piece instead of a "hiding" one-piece. What do you all think?

Of course, RawrGirl needs to majorly get her bum in shape before she would ever wear it...

RawrGirl had an amazing skating session today! She actually perfectly did a inside 3-turn which means as soon as she can afford a coaching session, she can pass Gamma and Delta. Woo-hoo! Then she can finally start on FreeStyle where you actually start practicing the moves people think of when they think of figure skating. :D

Well done chick xxxx

Oh I love this! I never even considered one like this but if in not happy with my tummy by summer, this is the perfect option.

Actually, I saw something interesting on Pinterest last week (that I forgot to repin!!) about the dreaded lower-belly pouch that a lot of us complain about being exaggerated by poor posture and loose (i think!) hip-flexors. So our hips/pelvis push back and our bellies are
pushed out, similar to when we're pregnant and out backs arch and make our bumps more prominent! I actually looked in the mirror as I tilted/arched and it made a big difference! Now I just have to go back and find the hip-flexor exercise that is meant to help!

Weigh-In & Measurement Day

So...somehow RawrGirl actually managed to lose weight this week...1.2 pounds...despite her 2-day, 7, 000 calorie binge over the weekend (which means she didn't get back into Ketosis until yesterday). She is very chuffed, as she assumes this mean a weekend binge won't be an automatic gain if she cuts back the following week (which was miserable btw and she doesn't plan to do that regularly, if ever, again). But good news is, RawrGirl was going to skip a function this Sunday (super bowl party) as she didn't want to overeat again, but then yesterday thought that was a ridiculous reason.

She often skipped social events before because she didn't have anything to wear / felt so fat. So now that she's thin, she's going to skip them so she doesn't eat??? Yea, RawrGirl decided that was dumb, and that she needs to go and learn how to control herself. And...even if she does overeat a little bit, she should still be able to lose during the week. Only 1.6 lbs till 129! :D

And her weekly chart. Average daily calorie intake: 1566 (the normal, ie w/o binge, is 1057). TBH, RawrGirl is surprised she lost anything!

PS -- Prince Charming also lost 1.2 (he overate last weekend too, lol).

Hi Rawr Girl congrates on the loss
An every week loss is setting yourself up for a downer hun. A few peeps when they get as low as you on the wieght to lose the do foutnightly or monthly to wiegh.

I notice when i read your thread that you have quiet a challenge knowing what to choose for foods and that you get tempted when buying for tea.

Ive just posted thus in a mates thread so copied it over for you as i think it may help a tad.

My routine now is an hour in the kitchen once a week.

I microwave all vegs, potatoes cauli brussels carrots spinach broccli (steamed) while cooking meat in the oven a chicken ir 6 chops. I make about 9 dishes with gravey.( chopped up meats to bite size portions) cover with selophane and freeze....The veg is grabbed in mass in the Reduced isles and costs me about a pound. If i remember right Rawr girl your on a low budget too

Ooohh mmmyyyy its heaven, i get in the door.
Micro for 10min while i sit down and I have 3 to 4 veg a portion of meat and no hunger for nibbles as it hits every food group.

Bonus as i have no washing up piling up as im not good at that atall :)
Also i have about 3 less! Carrier bags of rubbish a week as it was all cans and boxes and packets :)

Welldone on your partner too it isn,t easy to work as a couple :)

Reading this makes me really want a freezer but then again I don't have a microwave either - but I guess I could steam the meals rather than microwave them??? I can never buy much of the reduced veg as have nowhere to store it & so veg and fruit costs me about €25/30 a week - eek & I am smashed at the moment... off to look for a second hand freezer ....

If you could get one it would save you alot of money and time and the microwave secondhand could maybe be a new one in a few months? Have you any family that could lend or help you get one? Xx

RawrGirl did not end up going to Superbowl party as it snowed...and in a way, she is relieved, as it meant no temptation, and she is mostly on track for the week (weekend eating was slightly higher than it was supposed to be, but nothing she can't make up for during the week).

129 (or less!) should definitely be seen on the scale this Friday! :D

And then of course, there is a Valentines Buffet Banquet on Saturday and evening at Olive Garden Italian Restaurant on Sunday...so getting back to 129 will probably be the following Friday's goal as well. *sigh* Does it ever end?

Can I ask, without being rude, why you speak about yourself, as in third person ???

Billie Rawr girl is limited on minimins at the moment for posting some kind of link. Im sure she will be back.
I think the 3rd peson writting is explained in her first posts :)
