hello all :wave_cry:, here is my diary for my first 2 days. Any comments good or constructive are most welcome


fri 14 nov-green

b:
1oz readybrek (he b), 250ml s milk and 100ml milk (he a)

l:
jacket potato and beans, 1.5oz hf cheddar (he a), rocket, 2 cherry tomatoes

t:
veg stirfry, 1tbs olive oil (he b), soy sauce, black pepper

snacks:
2 bananas, apple 30 grapes

syns:
500ml old speckled hen (12?), 160 ml mackesons (3)

sat- red

b:
1oz readybrek (b), 250ml skimmed milk, 100ml milk in coffees (HEa)

l:
2 slices w/m bread (he b), 4x dairylea light triangles, 400g baxters scotch broth and lamb (b again- too many, accident)

t:
Sirloin steak, no fat, beetroot and leaf salad, 2 cherry toms, cucumber (6 slices)

snacks:
2 bananas, apple

syns:
2 pts cains dark mild (14)

So, those are my first days, not sure if it's ok and have prob not been counting syns etc right. :confused:

b:
1oz ready brek (5 syns), 250ml s milk and 100ml milk for coffees (a), quorn sausage, 3x trimmed bacon (b), 3x cherry tomatoes, 2 large mushrooms, beans

l:
2x nimble bread (b), 2x light dairylea tris and one babybel light (a)

t:
veg and bean casserole (onion, garlic, sweet pot, green pepper, tinned toms, passata, borlotti beans, black pepper, paprika

snacks:
2 bananas, 1 pear, 1 apple

syns:
readybrek
800ml cains mild (12) total 17. Made mistake on b's again and had to add readybrek to syns


mon: green

b:
1oz readybrek and 1 multigrain ryvita (b), 250 ml s milk and 100ml for coffees (a)

l:
leftover bean and veg casserole, 3x multigrain ryvita (b), 4x extralight l. cow triangles and one light babybel (a)

t:
sw chips (lush, what a treat!), 2 quorn sausages, beans

1 babnana, 1 pint diet coke

first weigh-in tmw, hope I have lost something but don't know...
Have drastically cut down on alcohol consumption but seem to eating more than usual trying to get all the a's and b'a in but have cut out takeaways so hve to see tmw I guess

Hi - well done i think your syns are about right, you might be best asking in the syn value thread for definate guides to the booze as im not sure about that ( i only sup vodka so only know syns for that).If you accidently have too many B's your right to just syn them. You might find youve lost weight even without being totally on target with your syns this week, depends how and what you were eating before the diet. You might find it useful to pre plan for the next week what your going to have when, i find that if i dont plan and just try to stick to it i end up over synning or having too many HE's or forgetting what ive had when, its definatly a helping hand for me. Im only into my second week but i have probably been on every diet going lol, and i honestly cant believe that this is a diet, once you get your head round it its super. HTH :D xxx

Thanks Suse, I try to plan at night for the next day so I can make sure I have everything I need. I agree about the booze, it would be good to know the proper values and whether I need to cut down on it more.

I am sure though that the diet is 100% healthier than what I was doing before so even if I don't lose I am happy I am a bit healthier:)

As far as the extra syns go for the b's, I have endeed up going over on 2 days, but got a bit confused and also down to lack of planning but it is a mistake (hopefully) not to be made again!.

Well done to you btw for not putting on, hope I have done the same at least:fingerscrossed:

These were the only ones I could find online. I agree that planning will help stop you making mistakes with your HE. Health arguments aside I think you should cut back on your alcohol syns so that you have some for other treats, otherwise you'll eventually get fed up and go off track. Also try to vary your breakfast instead of having the same thing every morning. This also applies to HEs - having a variety will stop you getting bored. :)

Thanks, fortunately it wasn't special brew only tetley bitter (around 3.4%). Yes as it is my first week I have not cut right down on the booze enough yet really, but will go to one can/aglass of wine only next week to make way for the odd treat. Can't wait to have a jaffa cake or 2!:D. I think I have the b's more or less taped now and will have something else for brekkie tmw, maybe some fruit. Cheers, Suzanne
