Hi coljack,

Which gravy do you use and how do you make it? As in, how much gravy granules do u use?

Bisto best roast winter veg. Made as directed on the jar. 1 level tablespoon per 140ml.
Says 4 heaped teaspoons per 280ml so that would be 2 per 140ml and there's 5ml in a level teaspoon and 15ml in a level tablespoon so I figure that a heaped teaspoon is about 7.5ml.
Per 70ml made up it's 21 cals so 1 syn.

Hi Coljack,

Couldn't resist having a look at your food diary.

It's interesting that u don't hav yr healthy extras. The only thing I find hard on EE is being limited to just 1 A and 1 B. I miss having 2 like u get on red and green days. But I wudnt switch from EE now as its so versatile.

Hope you hav a good week x

Hi Coljack, just wondering, what do you do with the tinned tomatoes at breakfast, do you heat them up in the microwave?

yes, stick half a tin in with the beans and nuke it for about 3 mins ( not in the can obviously, in a pyrex measuring jug.. )..
the other half tins I put in an old beetroot jar that I keep specifically and stick in the fridge until the next day..

I forgot my beans for lunch so grabbed a granola bar out of the vending machine and had the fruit I'd packed..
I shopped on the way home meaning to do a huge ham salad and JP when I got back, but due to messing up for lunch, I was really hungry and the traffic didn't help, so the ham (400g), cherry toms (300g) and strawberries (400g) that were supposed to last 2-3 days ended up as my evening meal in the car on the way home..
I did a JP later on when I was hungry.. and had a couple of extra alpen lights before bed.. :)

Yeah all good, have another HEA as JofT says...also did you just eat beans & tomatoes for 'dinner'?? you could bulk it out with pasta/rice etc

yeah, baked beans with tomatoes.. little bit of tobasco to fire it up a bit...

an extra HeA too? woohoo... that's another frappe then.. :)

Or for your other HEA you could have up to 42g of low fat cheese!Would have been lovely grated on top of the briam!

Saw that you liked the spaghetti hoops with the sausages
I'm assuming you like the beans with them in too
I love them but loathe using 7 syns for a whole tin ( and I eat the whole tin yummy!!)

So....
I like to buy the mini tins (200g) and then its only 3.5 syns
And then fill the bowl with more hoops or beans - which as you know are free

So still get the wee yummy sausages and a full bowl but less syns as less sausages but you don't realise cause you still have a full bowl

Good luck on your weight loss

The tesco beans and sausage is down in the bible as 1 syn per 100g, so 4 for the whole tin.

Ahh cool
I'm too fussy and only like the Heinz ones
so far anyway....
Might give them a try though
I love the yummy little sausages lol
Really miss 'real' sausages
Sigh

You could always get some syn free sausages from one of the many butchers that sell them or from that Internet place ( can't remember the name but it's in one of the threads).
