Daily Chat - keep in touch thread

happy mother's day to all mums :)

my granddaughter is coming to stay for a few days cos the kids in Scotland have started their Easter Holidays already
looks like they will be going back before Easter arrives
Alana loves Roast Beef so granny has it cooking now and the smell is luvvly.
i won't have any yorkshires but i will have loads of veg and can't wait to get stuck in.

the sun is shining but we still have a bit of a nip in the air so no sitting on my decking just yet....hurry up summertime xx

Mrs a, where do you live? Also, do you have my fitness pal? Xx

Mrs A you can have yorkshires I still eat them lol.....

Nothing like a treat to be normal tee hee...........I think if anyone is on MFP we should all get together for that extra push xxx

i live in dumfries zoso x

i really enjoyed my roast dinner and did have yorkshires - what the hell ;)

I tried a jacket on this morning and it was swinging round me - i was well chuffed - seem to be losing lots off my top half :D

cant wait to kiss goodbye to my big bum and belly ;)

i'm not doing fitness pall cos it kept saying i wasnt eating enough.:sigh:

i've been on loads of diets and know that cutting down doesnt work for me - i really have to cut back severely for me to lose anything.

if your body goes into starvation mode under 1200 calories how come those peeps on the liquid diets lose so much ???
i'm sure some of those diets are based on 800 calories and yet they all seem to lose loads of weight.

i'll just be content to lose a little every week xx

I used to live in Dumfries Mrs A
Glad you enjoyed your dinner and well chuffed about your swinging jacket

When you drop below 1200 calories you don't get all the nutrients you need...I was on a liquid diet years back..yes i lost 5 stone but what i wasn't told was that I would lose most of my hair and that it would make me really ill in the long run....I then piled back the weight even though I ate healthily !! Dropping to under 1200 can also cause health problems ie gall stones and internal organ problems as well as eating into your muscle as your not fuelling your body........you will feel extremely tired and emotional...........my Daughter suffered with Bulimia and was in a specialist hospital with many sick patients with eating disorders and it was low calorie diets that started a lot of them off on their downward spiral

Losing a little a week is good....my Dr said they look for people losing 1-2lbs a week ....

Have a great week all and stay strong xxx

wow - what a small world Sharon :)

most people have never heard of Dumfries....

thanks for the info on why you shouldn't eat so few calories - i wont be doing that any more - i have enough health worries without bringing on more ;)

We used to live in Moniaive, then moved to Maxwelton house country estate just outside of Moniaive...then worst mistake ever we moved to Locharbriggs ....we had a really difficult time there shouldn't of moved.....

I am glad the info I gave has helped you.....yes we all want to lose weight quick but like yourself I have health issues and we don't want to create more xxx

aww - sorry you've got bad memories of Dumfries xx
i've been here all my life so have nothing to compare it with xx

it was only when we went to Locharbriggs ...the other 8 yrs we had up there were amazing xxxx

I did a liquid diet for 6 months and lost 3st but I had to come off it as I got gall stones and I was ill for 2 yrs till they removed my gallbladder.. Never again !!

I was put on it by my Dr......and it was the worst i have ever felt i could feel my health going downhill and my partner was so worried........

lifestyle change is the only way and dropping weight gradually xxx

Hiya everyone.!! well today took kids to school..then went back to bed with Mark for a snuggle (he stayed in bed as he s at work tonight.) I love snuggling u when the house is quiet. Then we went for a 2 mile walk.just before it starting raining. it gave Jack our spainel a good run. even though he found every puddle in the woods. so by the time we got back to the car he was smelly and soaked.

ha ha don't you just love dogs lol.....my dogs hate the rain !!

sounds like you had a great day Autumn........its been pouring down here all day and gales not nice at all....

Morning Everyone!
Had a super busy day at work yesterday so didn't really get the chance to come online but back to normality today.
The sky is blue so might go out for a walk at lunchtime. Although nothing exciting to see apart from grey industrial estate tin sheds : (

hiya everybody :)

quiet day today - going to get my hair cut, take my granddaughter home then visit my wee dad tonight :D

I am having a busy day at work.. Too many meetings to go to and to prepare for. Cant wait for the Easter break and 10 days off. I will be on xenical by then and hopefully be ok. I have started looking at the fat content of foods in preparation. Only another 6 days till I see the doctor .. Whooo

Chelle xx

Hi all, hope all is good with you. Weather is miserable, got soaked on the walk home from the gym which pissed me off. Thought that was all I had to worry me then the boy drops the bombshell that his folks are up here this weekend, which is something I could frankly do without! Anyway the other problem I have is the fact they'll want to eat out on Saturday and Sunday which I can't be doing with(I've been trying so hard this week to be good, and it's been a struggle). I've told him that I'll join them for a meal on Saturday, of course this bloody well has to be the night they choose to go for a curry to my favourite Indian restaurant! The lamb passanda is to die for but I'll pick a healthier option than that this time. Could do without it and them this weekend, just want to run away!

Double post! Damned iPhone!

Zoso you can eat out just choose a tomato based curry or tandoori style...have chapati instead of naan or if you like naan just half of it........we all deserve a treat hunny.....we eat out alot on a weekend as its the only time I see Daz so its my treat but i still stick to healthy alternatives....xxx

just got back from walking the dogs the fields are like Glastonbury and I fell......good news is it untrapped the nerve in my shoulder blades ....bad news was i had 4 big fields to come back home all muddy and wet lol xxx

Oh poor you Sharon! Bet your pride is hurt more than anything else! We normally eat out at least twice a month, I'm a bit of a foody! Haven't been out for a few weeks as the boy is really busy with stuff for uni and I've either been dieting like crazy, skint, had the cold or not been able to get a table somewhere like to go. Last time we ateout together was the weekend I started the tablets and it was seafood anyway. I'll probably go for a fish curry or healthy option. Its a really authentic Indian place so thankfully the dishes aren't normally too sauce heavy. I don't really drink so thankfully I don't have to worry about those calories.
Meant to say, someone at the gym offered me T5 tablets! Politely refused! X
