Dairy Of a Lardy kid aged 43 and 3 quarters...

Variety is most definitely the spice of Sw. So many times I have given up as I got bored of quorn peppered steaks, pasta n sauce, tofu etc so this time varying it & searching for new veggie stuff & hooray it seems to be helping keep me interested

That's my thinking exactly Michelle :) xx

Oh! The snows come!! And there's lots of it...but kids are a bit pee'vd because they've been following the updates on the school website and double checked this morning and it said for them to turn in. They're where sent home 3 hours ago because of the snow fall and to allow the teachers to get home, which I totally understand - but why not just shut the flippin' school for the day!.....hmmmmm :banghead:

Anyway one of them has gone to Starbucks with their mates and one of the have gone to Game and then Pound Bakery, oh what I wouldn't do right now for a cheese and onion pasty from the pound bakery

Breakfast was a banana  shock! Me eating food in the morning! and my usual coffees (hexA)

Lunch was 2 small slices of bread (hexB) toasted with 2 laughing cow blue cheese triangles on them (hexA) and a spicy sweet and sour mug shot followed by a Turkish delight muller yogurt. Was all very nice, made a change from eating eggs and 'cooking'.
Tea is going to be SW chips Quorn burgers mushy peas and gravy, well it is upto now.

Today I'm going for my counselling assessment. I've been on the waiting list since last October and now Ive been invited for an assessment interview before I go onto the waiting list :grumble: no I don't get it either. But alas I have no choice but to trudge through lots of snow flurries and no doubt will end up on my arse after doing a triple selco toe pick back flip and not like torville and dean either :D I will not be a happy bunny if that happens especially when going there today makes absolutely no sense because I thought I was on the waiting list already .

No doubt I shall report back later this evening with my shenanigans hope you all keep safe and warm until then :) x

Thanks HLB :) x

I'm finding it ok actually, think after my few binges I'm finally getting into the swing of it again (I've lost count of the amount of times I've done SW). Definitely putting more effort into cooking stuff is making it easier for me I'm lucky that I've got time to do that though. You're doing brilliantly HLB :) x

good glad your getting back on track =] ive done SW loads of times this time seems different though! lol thank you =] x

Good lord talk about make you jump through hoops just to get a bit of support ! Grrrr. Hope it went ok & there were acrobatics on the ice. Colchester seems to have missed the snow. Nada nothing niente. Very dull. Off to gym Ta ra

Sitting here crunching on a tube of polo fruits 7syns for a 34g tube don't cha know!.

Tea was gorgeous!

The chips for once turned out just right!, or should I call them wedges? Same difference really one types wearing a jacket the other ones naked, but they were very nice and I really enjoyed my grub tonight :). The counselling assessment thing was rather strange indeed, protocol as certain changed a lot since I qualified. I sat there for an hour and talk about everything as far back as I could remember put only in the terms of major events up to present day then was told I would be contacted mid April to start a course of 6 cognitive sessions with another counsellor who specialises in my field of therapy. It was like eh?!. I've just spilled my guts open to you for half and hour and now I have to close the big bad box up again and keep a lid on it until April before I have to go through it all again with someone different. I know with counselling it gets worse before it gets better but flippin eck!.

Anyway braved Asda tonight I usually go on a Saturday but its my daughters birthday tomorrow and she's going for her nails done and clothes shopping and she wants me to go with her.

Didn't end up doing any stunt skids in the car park or anything. Bought her a lovely pink butterfly cake though, she's still my little girl after all :).

So tomorrow don't know if its going to be a sandwiches and cake kinda of thing or a family gut buster at the local Taybarns or BOTH  either way I'm going to have to adopt some form of restraint was thinking duct tape before bringing the cake out and all the time during and after :ignore: :silly: xx

So Im still up :) and its half past midnight  hubbs is watching snooker because he took the day off tomorrow and the kids are still up watching DVDs. So I'm amusing myself between FB and here. I've just had a really late supper of a bowl of bulgur wheat with some garlic and herbs stirred through it, it's what was left over from last nights tea, very yummy eaten cold, just like couscous but with a bitnmore bite.

Bought some yoghurts when I went shopping at Asda before. I usually buy the mullerlights but only when they're on offer. Call me tight but I refuse to pay 65p for a pot of yoghurt just because its heavily mentioned in SW land and its syn free when you can buy Asda fat free home brand for a pack of 6 for £1.48. But now at home Im basically eating my words because the fat free chosen by you Asda cherry as well as the toffee and the vanilla yogs are between a syn and a half and 2 syns each:cry:I nearly bought the dessert style yoghurts from the same line but felt like a change, how can they justify dessert style yoghurts to be syn free and just basic cherry and strawberry type yogurts that are all called fat free with syns, I know it's down to some manufacturers using sugar instead of sweetener but grrrrr!...how can buying a yoghurt be so flippin confusing!.

anyway I've had an apple and a Asda cherry yoghurt not sure of the syns for it couldn't find the syns for the cherry one so I'm putting it down at 2 syns.

Anyway lets see what tomorrow (Saturday) brings with its birthday cake and the coffee planned at Starbucks :party0051:plus all the other stuff I have to learn to say no and shake my head at :nono: :cross:
:) x

Well it's a birthday do, it's Saturday, heyho!! We can console each other as you say!! Fingers crossed miraculously it will all just fall off us by Tuesday!

Okay well today was destined to be a good day until I woke up :D

Got dragged into town with my daughter who wanted to get her nails done and spend some of her birthday money on clothes.

I'm not joking I sat in that nail bar for nearly 2 hours and it was packed out with damp damp people getting their nails done and slowly drying off at the same time..
The smell of the nail products and sweaty damp was knocking me sick :sign0137: it didn't help that all I had was a coffee because we all had slept in quite late. I refused my husbands kind offer of two cheese and onion pasties and an iced doughnut from the bakers

Anyway it was nearly 5pm before we had finished in town, it was pitch black and there was nothing planned or ready at home for tea :sigh2:

So getting home absolutely starving while everyone had eaten a few pies and a cake each earlier, everyone assumed we would be getting a take away earlier because of my daughters birthday.

Anyway in the end we all trotted off to Taybarns, because it had more choice for my daughter who is vegetarian and for me on the plan. On the way was getting all the prep talks of "mum just enjoy yourself tonight dont worry about the diet and eat what you want it's only my birthday once a year" and "start a fresh tomorrow just don't bother counting for your diet today" etc I know they where trying to be kind but they're weren't helping :sad0071:
Anyway I actually was doing REALLY well I chose things like the roasted vegetables and the baked potatoes and corn cobs. I had carrots and peas and parsnips and mashed potato and gravy with a small piece of chicken that I took off the bone and removed the skin. For pudding I had fruit salad and a tiny bit of custard....and here's where control started to slip slide away.

My sons both know I love chocolate sponge and also I do like a bit of apple crumble too - I just adore good old fashioned puddings with custard. So my eldest went and got his dessert coming back with a bowl of apple crumble with cream for me (the custard jug had run out) I ate it thinking well I've been really good and I should be able to accommodate this. So about 15 minutes later my other son trotted off to get his dessert and comes back with a bowl of chocolate sponge for me but this time swimming in chocolate sauce and cream :( I tried to tactfully decline and say I'm full etc but he started saying oh it's only a few mouthfuls and I'd eaten the other pud so why can't I eat the one he's got me, it was all getting silly and I REALLY didn't want it, but I ate it and to be honest I could've left it but I didn't, can't blame my sons they didn't hold me down and force feed me  Yep I don't understand me either.

Anyway fast forward to an hour ago where I've just had a large piece of birthday cake, a handful of orange aero bubbles and some Maoam chews. My eldest has just handed round the creme eggs and me like a pig have snatched his hand off:eek:.

Im back on it like a car bonnet tomorrow and I think I need a gain to show on the scales on Tuesday and then I might give me head a big wobble and get out of this mind set and get my head back in the game.

I've enjoyed what I've had this week but I would of enjoyed it more if I weren't stuffing it in my gob but savouring it Instead.

I've counted all my syns up Ive gone over with including from the binge on Tuesday and I've literally had 2 weeks worth of syns in 5 days, brings a whole new meaning to watching what you eat....I'm definitely watching it go in that's for sure :eek:but.... I'm still using a element of control by writing down everything I trough and totalling the syns up no matter how horrific.
:break_diet:

See you tomorrow hopefully without needing the use of a JCB to move me around :D xx

Lisa I've been exactly the same this weekend. Move on from it and don't beat yourself up. Like you say today is a new day. Maybe pull your syns back and try and do some damage limitation.

I've neither had breakfast or lunch I actually woke up feeling full and I'm not totally surprised I probably singled-handedly keep confectionary business afloat round here.

Im drinking coffee and vimto today and it is planned to have Tea at around 4pm. Im not doing roasties even though they are always done SW friendly and neither am I doing Yorkshire puddings even though I usually only have a very small one. It's just going to be Quorn roast, mashed potatoes and veg with a small amount of gravy. Dessert is going to be fruit salad with a Muller light and maybe if I'm hungry in the evening I may have a hexB of 4 ryvitas and a hexA of 4 laughing cow cheeses or maybe I will just drink tea. I'm eating light (and believe me this is light for me).

I made the mistake of having a sneaky WI this morning too :( I've only ever done that once before since starting this plan and after that my husband removed the scales and hid and they miraculously appear in the bathroom every Tuesday morning for me to weigh myself. But one of my sons was going go-karting this morning and needed the scales to weigh himself for the karting pass he was buying... Once he left the bathroom with said scales still sitting there I just couldn't resist and they said 2lb on so from my years of doing this and SW I guestimate a STS or 1lb gain for Tuesday which I can live with - well lets face it I've got no flippin choice lol and if my guestimation is right then I've been very lucky and got off lightly :).

Hope you're all having a happy restful Sunday and I will report back later xx

Oh before I leave, What are these rep points that I have, what's that all about then? and how can you see who is subscribed to your dairy  anyone know, coz I don't lol xx

Rep points are for 'reputation' I think - there is something about them on minimins tutorial but even then wasn't clear on how to give them etc!!

My Sunday roast and yes I had dry roast roasties but no Yorkshire puddings or cauliflower cheese :)

Finishing the day off with 4 sesame ryvitas (hexB) and 4 laughing cow blue cheese triangles (hexA) and a dessert of mandarin oranges with a muller yogurt and a pot of sugar free Hartleys orange jelly (0.5 syns). One more day to WI so lets see what tomorrow brings :) x

Day before weigh in :cry:and I'm trying my best to eat light.

Breakfast was a muller yoghurt with a banana, small pear and a tangerine and my usual 25 coffees :D

lunch was nothing because I was stuck at the podiatrist with my daughter and basically by the time I got home I had to start tea anyway so had a sugar free vimto and a coffee.

Tea was this

image.jpg

Quorn Keralan and vegetable rice and it was very nice too :)

Tonight I'm not going to have anything else other than a cups of tea/coffee and a mullerlight with a small tub of sugar free orange jelly and some mandarins and hope that the scales will be kind to me tomorrow, if they're not its because I deserved it but Im really looking forward to a new week and fresh start after.

Hope you're having a safe and happy Monday, see you tomorrow if not lighter in weight then wiser of brain :) x

Dinner looks yummy!! I'm having veggie meatballs. All the best for the weigh in. I hope you do ok. I think even with my angelic behaviour (21 days 100%) I fear no loss/1lb but I am going to keep going. We can aim for a good loss next week x

Thats my mind set now I'm actually not fretting about what the scales say tomorrow and have resigned myself to it. But this time next week I'll be seriously looking forward to getting weighed the next day :) xx
