Not sure what the dinner plans are, will see what there is in the fridge but I do remember buying ingredients for a Romano Pepper dish from the Jan mag (I think)!! Update later x
 
Hey Aly. How are you doing. Did I read somewhere that you are depressed. I think it is time of the year. It is so miserable and it spring does not want to come to us. I understand that your OH works away and you feel lonely. Just come on here and we cheer you up - I am a fine fine to talk as I am worse. Well anyway we can cheer each other.

I am planning to catch up on sleep an dthen if it does not rain walk to town an dlook around or go to teh big shopping centre.

Thnaks Rosie. I don't think it is the weather that gets me down, i quite like it when it rains :) maybe I am not depressed & just feeling sorry for myself. Where to start and keep it short! I am lonely, I have no friends and apart from being at work I see no one. People only come out to my house if I invite them & then it is only family usually parents or aunts/uncles. My 'friends' have children and live at least 30miles away. I spend every night I the house & on.y go out to do some shopping. I love my OH and our house but sometimes it gets too much. I can spend nights just crying & at 1 point nearly drove myself off a cliff. This is the reason I eat. If I do get out it is to my M.I.L's. when I do get out with my 'friends' I feel so left out & out of sync. Just something I have to deal with. I am good at putting a front on so people think all is ok.

Sorry for going on, nice sometimes to just get it out tho you probably be the only one to read it.

I totally undrrstand where you are coming from as I am in the same situation and there is no OH. It is not easy but life must go on. You can't blame yourself as it is your personality and how you are. Is there any chance of you living nearer to OH so you can see each other more or does he work offshore. Can you not socialise with your colleagues - I know you live some distant away or any chance of renting out your house and rent something nearer work. You are young and so much to look forward to and must get silly thoughts out of your head. Please PM me any time you feel lonely. I will be here and help you as much as I can. When OH is home try to make the most of it, doing thing together and socialise so it becomes easier for you to do the same on your own. Big hug
 
Thanks Rosie. My work colleagues r a lot younger than me & not ppl I would choose to b social with. The 1s that r decent r on mat leave or going on mat leave or live 60miles from me. OH works offshore, he will b back 2moro. His friends also have children or all smoke (not cigs) & I won't sit like in that, they won't come to us as no smoking in our house. Just something I will need to deal with & get on with. I wouldn't move as I am a 5min walk from beach in a lovely wee village.

Had bad couple days and completely off diet but back on it today as I have just packed loads stuff into a suitcase that do not fit me!!
 
So am I going to manage a full week this time - bets r on!!

Not to bad a day, some down moments but all in all not too bad. Was meant to be visiting a friend in hospital but she never got back to me to say whether she was getting home or not. I'm fed up being the one making all the effort so didn't bother texting her again, her husband was also meant to be letting me know but no contact from him either.

Went a food shop and hope that I am all set for the week. Bot some boned chicken thighs to try & make a curry, well OH will be making it :) popped in 2c OH's gran & dad as his mum away on hol. Had nice wee chat then went to Tesco (bigger store) & managed to find the koko chocolate milk. Heard meant 2b nice & I will try anything once!

S - slimatee, night time tea, walkers baked sour cream & onion (5)

I am not sure what I will be having for my snack tonight, will see when I go through to make bedtime cuppa & c if cats have sneaked back in!!!!!

Aly when you are driving to/from work have a little think and see why you sabotage your plan and also who is suffering for it. I used to be like that but had to start respecting my body and now days every time I want to go wild with food, I stop and think why and refrain from doing it. My downfall is when I am very tired. It think it took me about 8 months to come to terms with the fact that food was not my saviour and no. 1 priority. Just give it a go for a couple of weeks and see how you get on.

You are so full of wisdom and common sense. I honestly think it is just a greed thing and no willpower, I tell myself no but find myself going into the shop and picking up chocolate & crisps and I constantly say I should not be eating this as I stuff my face BUT this weekend inthe house (well yesterday) I refrained from eating the following which is all in the house!!! 100g Milky Bar, 100g Mint Aero, 2 x fresh custard slices. Morrisons Giant Strawberry chews and a large bag of Walkers Prawn Cocktail crisps. All this was bought with the intention of eating over the weekend as I was having yet another one last blowout!! I am pleased that it is all still there and will be gone soon as OH home today!! Although he is gaining a belly with being away as there is always a constant supply of food on Rigs and Boats due to shift changes. I am going to try the just say no and that it will still be there when I want to go and get some on treat night (within reason). As you say it will take a few weeks once I get me head into in completely again!! Fingers crossed the time is now!!!

Aly glad you avoided all those stuff. Keep them as treats and you can gradually get through them one at a time. I used to be the same if I opened a pack of biscuits had to finish or would large bags of crisps, sandwiches and any other rubbish that came in front of me. My excuse was it was going to be my last blow out before I start eating properly. Would you believe it I have a cupboard full of treats and from time to time open the cupboard door, look and think NO syns are too high - from tim eto time I have something.

Proud of myself today. Had a couple of BT engineers over to install my new internet. Opened a pack of French biscuits (my fav) for them but did not touch any myself. When they were going I gave them the rest of the pack to take with them.

AS I said before when you have resisted for a couple of weeks and lost a bit of weight then every time you look at a treat, you turn your nose at it and say pah "I do not want you".

Hope you have a lovely evening with OH. It is nice to eat with someone else isn't it.

I am feeling a bit better today in my mindset but head is killing me. Eyes cant seem to focus right which is why this is being typed into word then transferred later! Day 2 and diet going well. So far so good but it is only 1430 on Monday and I am at work BUT I resisted Krispy Kreme donuts that were sitting in the canteen to help ourselves to and even though everyone is talking about them I said no, you don’t need it!!! Ate my carrot sticks instead!!! And I just remembered that I refused a KFC, on a roll today

Head still sore & that is with taking tablets & going to bed when got home from work. Got up & had dinner. Head still sore but just getting on with it. OH wanted KFC & once again I refused. Did have couple sweets & bags crisps but all within syns, btr than chocolate I think!!!

This may change for the night time snack as I am fancying a wee bit of chocolate, will get OH to break it up & give a small calculated section!!!

My title is Toolpool & workshop admin co-ord. I work for a company called Oceaneering and I track and control the maintenance of our rental tools. The tools we deal with in our dept are if you have seen titanic and you see the underwater robots going in about the ship? Our ROV dept makes them and we hire out the tools that control them. It is an interesting environment to work with and i work in the workshop with the techs (20-30 of them depending if they are offshore. Not too sure what the promotion or change or role will be but a new move is always good :)
 
Joined the squat challenge tonight & 1st day was 50 squats so ia have done these & I am also doing varying stomach crunches to the same amount - day 1 complete:)

Did not got str8 home aft work & OH got KFC so ended up with one. Friend in host with cancer and I was jst thinking here i am worrying about weight when she is struggling with something so much more. I no this is not the way to think (in hindsight I no this is not the way to think) but I calculated everything and I am still within syns so just need to be good today & tomorrow for weigh in on sat.

Hey Rosie. Just getting back on here. Not been in the frame of mind. Back on it today & got new running shoes & some gear so hoping to get out with OH as he putting on the weight too. He doesn't like the treadmill so I am going out with him and do walking n the treadmill inbetween days (well that's the plan!!!).

Wknd was good as I was home for the weekend and met up with some friends I have not seen in years. Making a start on getting out again. Drove down with one of my friends and had a good catch up and hoping that they can get over to mine at some point this month :) Fingers crossed this may be me getting better xx

I think that that is it for today.

My body magic was some good old housework, had it not been for the sleet/snow I would have been out a wee walk. OH away offshore for work today, should be back Thursday. I am so hoping it can be a 100% week for 1st wk back on it!! Day at a time !

Knew the egg was there, so it's now gone & out my mind. Beginning of the week so can limit damage control thru rest of the week!

Housework is a good body magic. Food looks for today.

All of a sudden I feel tired and sleepy, but too early to go to bed - don't want to wake up in the middle of night.

Hope it gets warmer soon.
