Do or die time!

Well, it's the start of day 1, so thought I'd start a diary. I've planned my meal packs for the day, I'm on simplicity. Breakfast is chocolate crispy shake, lunch is almond maple bar, dinner, spicy spaghetti and later tonight, chicken soup. Nervous about the packs as when I did Cambridge diet I only liked the tetras, but I've just had my crispy chocolate, made with 150mls milk allowance and 50mls water and it was lush! Not chemically at all, which it what I found with the Cambridge shakes. I feel even more excited now. Bring it on!

I am starting today as well although I have been cutting out carbs since Monday, good luck on your journey. Isobel x

Over half way through the day and I'm loving it! Had my maple almond bar for lunch, it was scrummy. I've done 2 litres of water so far, (I always fin the water the hardest part on VLCD) but also had a black coffee. One of the ladies I support wanted to go for cheesy chips for lunch, so while she had them, I sipped on my black coffee:angel09:halo polished. lol
I do think people at work will start asking questions eventually, as sometimes I have to do 24 hour shifts, so they will see I'm not preparing 'proper' food. I dont want them to know, because I cannot be doing with the 'it's not good for you' and 'you'll gain it all again when you start eating' comments. Ive had enough of them from my sister and a friend. A work collegue even asked me if I was pregnant today, because I kept peeing!
I have my meal packs planned for the next 3 days. Come Friday I will order my next batch. I'm excited to try some more flavours, and I think I read somewhere they do mac cheese? Yum, I hope so.
For now Ive decided not to add the veg or zero noodles, as I fear it could become a slippery slope. So until I feel I really NEED them, I wont bother with them. I am however going to have my 150ml skimmed milk allowence each day, to mix either a shake or porridge with.

Wowzers!! I've just had the spicy spaghetti for tea. YUMMY! I can see myself having two of the meals a day with a shake and a bar. Although the portion was quite small, which I expected, it's really satisfied me. I will go to bed feeling very happy. Bring on day 2.

Well I'm on the start of day 2, and feeling good. Ive just had the sweet porridge, and the jury's out. I followed the instructions but it was still a little runny for my liking, and naturally it didn't have an inch thick layer of sugar on it! Lol. I have the oatmeal tomorrow, I think I may dissolve a couple of sweeteners in to it. But the bit news is, I had a sneeky peek and in 24 hours, my scales are showing a 6lb loss! 6 blinking pounds. That's some newborn babies. I'm so happy. I have caramel shake for lunch and chilli for tea. I'm saving my bar as my treat tonight. Milk choc Truffa

I can't get into the oatmeal, which is a shame because I loved the CD porridge.

The Spaghetti is lovely, and I like the chilli. The soups aren't too bad either.

I'm not keen on the curry though - it's just a bit 'blegh'

You're quite right. MY newborn baby was 6lbs (shes 11months now but she was exactly 6lbs at birth and although its smaller than some/most babies...its still BIG lol...so that is a lot of weight you've dropped, already)! Well done you!! That is AMAZING. keep it up! Im here to follow and support! :D

Having THE worst shift at work, if it can go wrong, it has. Haven't reached for the biscuits though and I don't intend to! Had a caramel shake for lunch, which was fine, and now having chilli con crane for tea. Totally delish. Are we allowed more than one food meal pack per day, I.e a chilli for lunch then spicy spaghetti for tea? I could live off those meals

Fully completed day 2 successfully. Hurrah! Ended the day with a milk choc Truffa bar which was yummy. Had 2 litres of water, a black coffee and the water in my packs, so not too bad.
Tomorrow I have the oatmeal for breakfast (what's the difference between that and the porridge?) and tomato soup for lunch. Not a soupy person generally, but we'll see.
Been thinking a lot a out my holiday to butlins at the end of may. We're going half board and my sister asked me if I was going to eat. I honest don't know what to do. I'd like to but am so scared I won't be able to get back in the zone, so any advice would be greatly apprichiated

Well, day 3 is upon me and I can honestly say I won't be re ordering the oatmeal. Bleugh! It's the 1st pack I haven't liked. So 1 out of 9 ain't bad. Very tired today, and my mouth tastes like death! Can't wait to get home from work and sleep. 24 hr shifts are too long in the 1st few days of a vlcd.

Well my 25hour shift has just been extended to 30 hours! Having to cover as there's nobody else. Had my tomato soup for lunch, which I'd have again, but feeling really irritable but I think that's just work.
My sisters been slagging off the diet AGAIN, saying that's why I feel run down. I tried explaining that I've felt rough for weeks due to a bad back and over working but she won't have it.

Mild curry is yum.i can't believe how motivated I feel. Hubby said to me just now that when we go away end of may he wants me to eat, that he supports my diet but being as we're on hols, then we should enjoy ourselves. I think I'm going to wait and see how much I've lost by then and also how I feel in my head. If I know I can get straight back to it, I will think about letting my hair down, but only a little. We go away 31st may, in hoping I'd have lost at least 2.5 stone by then. Keep thinking what I'd lost in that time frame on Cambridge but I can't remember. I've uploaded my Cambridge before and after pix. I'm using it for inspiration

Whoop whoop, get me. I just sat in McDonalds with 7 others and didn't have a thing! Wasn't even tempted! Just waited until I got home and had my chicken curry noodle soup which was very nice. I'll be ordering them again. My cookies and cream shake I had for breakfast was ok. Totally drinkable, but I could take it or leave it for the future. Going to have a banana shake later, then my spaghetti bolognaise tonight. Can't wait until my delivery comes on Tuesday, I'll have more bars. I only got 4 in my sample pack.
Loving this diet so much. Here's to a slimmer summer

Well, Ive not posted in a few days, not because Ive fallen off the wagon, but because work has been manic, 60 hours over 3 days/nights. Shattered.com! BUT I DIDNT CAVE! Im so proud of myself. Usually Id have reached for the cakes, so this just proves to everyone how badly I want this. I need this.
I received my delivery today, very excited, as everything I ordered I LOVE. Now tucking into a lemon yogurt bar, and have spicy spagehtti for tea. Mmmmmm
Tomorrow will be my 1st WI, and as I have a lot to lose, Im kinda hoping for about 8lbs down, but we'll see. I will post.
