Sorry peeps if i came across as a bit blunt with regard to the start date, its just a little frustrating when its all clearly stated but not read. I am currently trying to keep up with 3 challenges as far as data input is concerned and this one has created a bit of a wobble.

Texty, you of course are always forgiven, but if we can always start at the beginning of a month maybe???? Leave this as is for now, and i will adapt the sheet to allow for different start dates. Its something that will take a few hours to do so its not possible to organise for this challenge.

The sheet HAS to show the start as being the beginning of the month so as to keep all relative date correct. There are a lot of formulas built in that are working from start dates and certain parameters that cannot alter by deleting dates/data to make it look ok. So I apologise that it says the 22nd of January, it was a problem that i didnt have time to get around. I shall of course get this sorted out to avoid future issues. (You lot will not beat me, no matter how hard you try. :rotflmao: )

I hope this clears up any confusion. And for those that will still need to ask, i shall put a link into my signature to the opening thread, just in case. lol.

Your a star. Hopefully I will be having a loss this week to put in this beauty.

Thanks for the clarification daz, hope you didn't think I was criticising, I was just confused. Think it's hard for us to see the extent of the work involved in the whole thing as we just see a nice finished sheet-a guy in work set up a new stats sheet for staff yesterday and he showed me all the formulas and it was crazy.

Really appreciate all your hard work :)

Never thought of doing that, lol. For the geeky ones out there, and the ones that think its just a matter of making boxes, this is just a snippet of the January sheet, only the first 7 people included. There is a certain amount of copy and paste that can work, but not all that much. And what you cant see is the conditional formatting. That is the process that allows cells, rows and columns to change colour and appearance when certain conditions are made. That is hidden from view and more intricate than what you see on this. But, i love the challenge of getting a sheet to work right.

If you look at the Easter sheet you will notice that the end columns in some of the months are all white and showing no cells, that is a conditional formatting rule, so if the date in the last column is after the end of the month that the month header is showing then it whites out all the data so that it looks like a blank column. I will leave it there as i have probably lost 99.9% of you already. lol.

Daz, thank you for all the hard work you put in for all the challenges, it really does jolly everyone along joining in.
I don't think anyone here would be assuming it's just ticking boxes, think we all just get a tad confused weighing in on different days - worried that we'll miss one week if we weigh in at a different time than the week start date.

I know I'm rubbish at all things spread-sheety, you have my total respect for doing these!

It doesnt matter when people declare, i certainly wouldn't refuse anybody their figures, i know i am one of a very few who has no life and can spend so much time online. That is why i am trying to teach myself web design and am currently also trying to get 7 websites up and running. (bit of context there, see what i did? lol) What makes it hard is that people who declare a few days after their day and it straddles a date for week end/beginning. i can only input what info i am given. Maybe a day of weigh in needs to be added??????? Its up to you lot, i just want it to be as easy as possible to be used.

Daz, you do a fantastic job!

Looking forward to weigh in tonight and (hopefully!) being able to update with a nice loss :)

Oh no, I meant as in sometimes when it starts on a certain day some people will get 5 WI's when others get 4, I get a bit confussled if I miss a week, never sure which challenge to put it in!, But do think having a WI might get confusing, mainly because (me being a prat again) sometimes I forget which day it is and weigh in the day after! You do a wonderful job, don't think anything needs to be changed, just that people get confused, especially when the Jan one was so big compared to the December one!

How many weeks, easy, just look at the calender on your pc and see how many of your weigh days are in the month of the challenge. As for a longer challenge like this, just ask someone. lmao. We will look after You (although im not so sure now You will like me once You see what i put in the feb challenge thread just, haha)

After reading all the posts, since my weigh in day is Tuesday, my loss of the week should be put on right? ...well, I stayed the same so it's 0 but yeah haha! Had a bad week last week, oops!
