Helping you set your recommended amount of calories...

By the way Amy if you use myfitnesspal to record your food and calories when you go into the daily summary section you can see how many carbs you should be eating and how much you have eaten.
I don't eat that many carbs really. Only in rice or pasta really. I take chromium tablets which get rid of carb cravings. They take about 3 weeks to get into your system but I've found I don't HAVE to eat that slice if bread any more. I can choose my carbs wisely. They're not exactly the most nutritious of foods anyway so losing them from our diets isn't a bad thing

They're great scales. They're the salter MiBody analyser scales. Model 9119 I think. But you put in your age height, sex, activity level and then it measures weight, body fat , visceral fat, muscle, body water, BMI, BMR, it comes with a USB so you can transfer the data to your computer and plots it all on a graphs. At the click of a mouse you can see everything in lb, kg or stones. It also keeps records for up to 12 users so you just spend time doing the initial bit for everyone on a different user number. They're brill worth every penny.
I now weigh everyday. I inly used to weigh weekly but because they save the details you can get weighed without looking and oh check the details once you've transferred them to the computer.
It's only because I started looking at the details that I realised that BMR calories chZnge with every little weight fluctuation

Mmm I have a fitbit they have a scale like that and it is very dear like 100pounds

I've put on (not a surprise). I'm now 198.8lbs and according to the numbers I put in mfp I've gained inches every where. Though I took photos what do you think?

I'm honest when I say I'm truly fed up of counting and watching what I eat ... This is me for the rest of my life ..!! I find the thought horrifying. But I take my eye off the ball for a bit and I gain ... Even my 13 year old said my face looked bigger :-( iv taught her to be brutally honest with me lol
X

I'm lucky that i still enjoy numbers and adding and seeing what i can get. Its easy with MFP (for me as i always have my phone on me). I like the simple science - burn more calories than you eat. Anything more technical makes my brain hurt. I was just getting a little down about not losing.
Hopefully with two weeks off and little gains i will have some bigger losses in January when i go back to 1700, which should helo boost my motivation.

Hopefully being lower carb will kick start your losses again.

Thank you
I do use MFP but only on me mobile normally. Not really interested in looking in case i get obsessed over other levels. A looked a couple of times at my fibre level and that was always double their limits so i stopped looking. My carb/fat levels will always be pretty high as i eat very little meat and fruit/veggies.

I had done measurements on the 29th of November then on the 6 December I took the photo remeasured and put on 10 pounds and lots of inches in that week. Now I'm up 4lbs but Down in inches.

Hey, Kat. I was told yesterday that talking about MFP on here is against the rules and can get you banned - have you come across this? xx

I mention it a fair but and have never been pulled up. I think its a fine line between saying you use it and recruiting people to a competition site.

Well that's what I thought, but I've DM'd Mini to try to get the official line. xx

I have come across that before Tracy but I do mention mfp but only as a possible option to someone .

I honestly feel rude just adding people. I'd rather be upfront and say that people are welcome to add me if they want but also if you only use the phone app you wouldn't know that those links are there. Oh well happy new year

I didn't know that the links existed .. I use my iPhone ..!

I've injured my knee and am unable to exercise so won't be getting a good calorie burn from anything really. So seen as I'm morbidly obese BMI wise, am I ok to make a 30% cut from my TDEE? That's what the in place of a road map thread on MFP suggests, but I just wanna make sure that it'll be okay.
