Looking for some advice folks. I done Cambridge ages ago but only got to day 4 before feeling really ill. I'm going to be starting exante TS soon and gather from what I've read here that it's normal to feel pretty crappy at the start. How bad can u feel and how do I know when to push through it or if it's something more? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanx

Hi

I'm on day 3 and don't feel that bad! I'm hungry but not starving hungry, I'm more tired though but then I'm also running round after my 16 month old daughter lol

Thanks for the reply! I'd be exhausted just running after a little one, never mind doing exante too! I just felt so bad last time, really light headed and sore head. I am soo focused this time though so am hoping that will get me through. Well done on getting 3 days in so far!!

There were a couple of days during the first week when I had an extra pack. Other than that, drink plenty of water, try not to be too active and be prepared for headaches. Not everyone gets them but a lot of people do. Once you've made it past about day 5 it's all much easier. Good luck :)

Thanks Namaste
I think water is the key, think I also might try to start on a Thursday or Friday and then work from home on the Monday & Tuesday the following week. Means I can be feeling rough at home instead of in the office!

Hi and welcome :) .. First 3 days I was pretty good day 4 and 5 was hard as I was going into ketosis and my body was fatigueing due to lack of carbs.. Day 5 onwards I feel pretty amazing I'm not hungry at all and I have average energy.. Hang in there and after the first week you'll never look back

I felt horrible on CWP as well and had to come off it, but I'm day 11 on Exante and I feel ok.
Water is definitely the key to success, I am feeling hungry today, and a bit light headed, but every day on plan is a day closer to goal, and a day less I'll have to be on a diet :)
Just keep going, work through the tough times and it'll all be ok in the end.
Can't say I felt particularly ill or anything first few days though :)

Hi, I am on day 5 and have a slight fuzzy headache but hunger pangs seem to be going so could be on route to ketosis. Did lighter life four years ago so knew what to expect this time round. Once this initial phase is passed it should get easier. It does work!!

I'm only on day 2 and I dont feel too bad. Went out socialising and didnt drink alcohol, stuck to soft drink which was a big thing for me. From what ive read, if you drink roughly 3ltrs or water a day you shouldnt see the headaches many people complain about.

Yes, I think that's the key - drink plenty of water - sip it throughout the day - don't down loads at a time. Think I have def hit ketosis now (day 6) as I have the awful taste in my mouth and I struggled to eat all the porridge!

Thanks for all the replies, I'm now half way through day 4 and I think ive hit Ketosis. Yesterday felt terrible really sore head and wild up not too great today but as the day had gone on, head has totally cleared, I'm not feeling hungry and have weird taste in my mouth.... Yippee!
