I have a question about doing a partial meal replacement diet

I am just about to start a partial meal replacement Diet. I will be eating approx 500 calories of meal replacement, plus 700 calories of protein, fruit and veg. I would like to lose 2 stone, so am thinking that this may take up to 3 months (I am unable to exercise). It is going to be very hard for me because I'm a comfort eater, and I like my carbs, chocolate, cake etc. I have carefully chosen this Diet to fit in with my disability, my health problems, my average day, and my Diet restrictions.

My question to those of you who have done this type of Diet:
Would you recommend splitting these 3 months into 3 sections? I really think I will fail if I am having to do it for 3 months straight! I am thinking perhaps, 3 weeks on it, 2 weeks off, 3 on, 2 off, and 3 more weeks on it.

I would appreciate your thoughts, although I know that every person is different.
