Day 4 of 1 week of maintenance steps for hols 1000
Morning everyone – well after my major kick up the bum I gave myself that I needed severely to stop me feeling so down and sorry for myself has worked a treat. I slept well last night and am raring to go today. I tried on some clothes last night and a few weeks ago my friend gave me some jeans and there was a pair of size 12s that admittedly are a bit stretchy but I had a muffin top in them so couldn’t wear them – they now FIT!!!!

Also even though I said I was staying away from the scales that lasted all of 24hours as did staying away from here didn’t post weight on here but am again as of today and I am gobsmacked to report that I’ve lost 0.2lb yesterday which I know is minimal but its even more shocking as I ate FOOD with it being the 1000 step and dare I say it but I had 150g of boiled potatoes!!!!!!!

I think coming off plan at the weekend will probably have restored my glycogen, but I suppose I expected ALOT more rebound weight gain than that and now with eating CARBS!!! So now am only 2.4 lbs heavier than Fri which Im ecstatic about. I think my body just needed a break and a shock to get its bum into gear and now its had it. Lets hope the loss continues.

Im not advocating anyone comes off plan to help their weightloss. The only way to do it properly is to stick to the plan 100% and the mind places I have been this weekend have been horrendous and I wouldn’t want anyone to willingly put themselves there, because even though all seems good today, it may not stay like this and I may gain tomorrow.

Again I just want to thank everyone for their support whether it be posts or private messages. It means so much to me and is really really helping.

This journey has been so so so hard in alot of ways especially hormones and mind games, but has been made so much easier with all the support from here.

If this is your first time on CD.. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you get to goal as doing this a 2nd, 3rd or 4th time is just so so so much harder.

I was so focused the first time and did not cheat once! I was a woman on a one road mission and did not waver until I was a few pounds from goal and it all went wrong. I wish I had kept a diary of that time but didn’t.

This time I just wanted to recapture that enthusiasm and determination, but it did happen initially, but keeping it up has been alot more difficult.

I’m now going to take it day by day and ‘TRY’ not to be so obsessed and tell myself to pull myself together and stop being so bluddy mardy when the hormones start to rule.

So here’s to a 100% day on my 1000 plan am so so looking forward to my nectarine and yoghurt at lunchtime.

Yay Jess Im so pleased to read this post. You seem in a much better place, and glad the scales are going down for you!

I can only echo what you said about keep going to goal, it is so much harder trying to get back on the wagon. i found the longer you were 100% the stronger your determination and motivation is! Just hoping we can both get that back very soon!!

well Im home in a non-kid zone for the next 3 hours so have limited myself to 10 mins on this and then I am packing or everyone will go ballistic its not done later!!!

Day 5 of 1 week of maintenance steps for hols 1000
Morning everyone. I’m in shock again – the scales have gone down – I know its only 0.2 but I suppose I don’t expect to lose with having carbs

Got a reasonable amount of packing done yesterday did all the clothes just need to do all the bits and bobs like meds, creams etc and magazines!!!


Am working with a mediumishly busy day then home to do more packing and then my best mate is babysitting while I go for my eyebrows and bikini wax ( no emla cream allowed tee hee) and my nails done all ready for saturday, then having a good old catch up with my friend so really looking forward to that.

So wont be on much tonight but will come back on before I go for my appointments tonight to see how everyone is gettin on.



So here’s to a 100% day on my 1000 plan am so so looking forward to my nectarine and yoghurt at lunchtime.

Well I’ve put on the 0.4 I lost the last few days, but that is to be expected with eating food and its only 0.4 which is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Have got an immunisation clinic today and a visit so not overly busy but really hate having to make the babies cry, but I know its for the greater good, but doesn’t make it any easier!

Will finish packing tonight as we have the school fair tomorrow night so can’t do any then, had a lovely catch up with my friend last night and my nails look ace , but am still a bit sore from the bikini wax but that will go down over the next 24hrs luckily

UPDATE

Had a busy clinic this morning and tying up all loose ends before going on hols. Didn’t exactly stick to my plan of 1200 wasnt horrendous, but could have been alot better, but that proves one thing for sure to me that I am DEFINITELY beyond a shadow of a doubt not ready to finish the diet.

I know over the last few weeks I have been pining for a ‘normal’ life and being normal around food, but the last few days has proved to me I am not ready yet, so am going to try to be VERY careful in my food choices from now till hols and over hols and then its the final onslaught of getting to goal and healthy weight range. Am hoping that it wont take too long.... adn as long as I don’t pick and am angelic it shouldn’t!

Whenever I start to whinge after my hols about wanting to be normal, then you all have permission to give me a kick up the bum and give me a big shouting at and tell me I HAVE to get to goal and this is the LAST time I’m doing CD!!!!!

I have also changed my signature so it regularly reminds me when I have blips I cant get away with it and it shows on the scales and hopefully it will only take me 6 -8wks to get to goal.

Will be doing ss+ and really looking forward to it.

Day 7 of 1 week of maintenance steps for hols 1200
ONE MORE DAY TILL MY HOLIDAYS – YYYYIPPPPPPEEEEEE IM SO SO SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!

The o.6 weight gain is to be expected bearing in mind what I have eaten, but I am determined that it is going to come off and I am going to drink ALOT more water today and STICK to the plan 100%!!!!

Got all my tetras ready yesterday for my hols – 3 a day and a light meal – am going to have to do it or I’m going to end up probably half a stone heavier when I get back and it will undo all the good work. As I said yesterday I am realising I’m not ready to finish as I’m not ‘using the pause’ and am in the mindset of well I’m going on hols and will finish it when I get back so I may aswell make the most of eating now as when I get back I have 6 – 8 weeks of the diet left, which is NOT the mindset to have I know, but its what is happening. I will TRY and use the pause today.

Busy morning this morning 2 follow ups and 2 birth visits then I have to do all my paperwork and tie everything up for the hols.

Then when I pick the kids up DS has football for an hour and then its the school fair tonight. Fingers crossed the weather stays nice!

SATURDAY 27TH JUNE 2009

WEIGHT = 11st 7.8 CHANGE = 0
WEIGHT to GOAL 1 = 20.8 lbs GOAL 2 = 28.8 lbs
MOOD = fabulous!!!!!!!!

I have returned from my holiday and I have only gained 0.6lbs!!!!!!!!

The week before my holiday I reintroduced food going very quickly up the plans and gained from the Monday to the Friday and gained 2.6lbs. I wasn’t exactly angelic on the plans as I was ravenous. I was ok with putting on that as I figured it would probably be glycogen and I expected alot more.

As some of you know my period arrived 11 days early the day I was going on holiday and I was gutted I nearly burst into tears on a few occasions as we went to a beach house with a pool and I had taken some tablets last month to delay my period so I could enjoy my hols!

I took my water flavouring and enough shakes for 3 a day so was well prepared. My TOTM was making me ravenous as it was the one from hell don’t want to give too much info but for the first three days I may aswell have sat on the toilet permanently it was that heavy!! I have never been that bad and feel for any woman who has to suffer like that each month.

Holiday was fab and thoroughly enjoyed it. It felt like all my hard work had been worth it I KNOW for a fact I wouldn’t have enjoyed it anywhere near as much had I been 4st heavier.

Don’t want to list too many foods as alot are SSing, but suffice to say I was sensible with portions and ate from all food groups (incl. an odd glass of wine) .

I think I did the best thing for me by going up the plans the week before the holiday as it got my stomach used to a bit of food and also on hols my toilet problems were sorted too!

Am sooooo amazed I cant believe it that I only gained 0.6lbs Im still in shock, my HB reckoned I would put on half a stone and didn’t believe me when I said well you got the half right!!!!

So that’s its now as of Monday I’m on the home stretch to get the last bit off! I was so horrendous and in awfully bad places before the hols in regards to the diet I think the 2 weeks off it has done me the world of good and has got me back into it with renewed enthusiasm and I suppose I know its only short term rather than a long journey with no end in sight like it was when I started it last time. And also knowing that its for 6 weeks I can do that with no picking either.

I have decided to do SS+ as I really enjoyed that 4th shake it really helped enormously so will do 4 wks ss+ and then 2 weeks of going up the plans.

I need everyone on my case to make sure I stay on track this time!!!

Even though this has been the best way for me to do it, I am not advocating coming off plan for anyone else. The best way to do it is from start to finish without any gaps and it is going to be difficult to go straight back into ssing so am going to wind down my food intake and carbs the next 2 days ready for Monday.
Am so excited am now on the home stretch for losing this 22lbs to get to healthy weight range.
Weigh days are going to be a Monday and am still going to do my diary to keep me on track.

Good to have you back honey!! Sun is shining - asked my mum for that favour this morning and she has come up with the goods as usual so off to Manchester shortly and hopefully will be just the same there yey am so excited xxxx
