Jess's Diary - Weighed in a day early..

Hi Jess you will be fine after the weekend and you've got some great suggestions for food.

Good luck

M

Jess and failure cannot go in the same sentence! You have done so well. Give yourself a break hun...it is so tough to get back on the wagon after Christmas. I still have my moments....i think we all do. You WILL see 11.7..I know that. Enjoy your weekend :D

dont feel a failure jess, cos if you are i am too. Having trouble getting back on straight and narrow too, have same thorts as you, mget this weekend over with as daughters birthday. we are having pizza too, and family comming for 'tea party'on sunday.

some good ideas there for lunches too. i am going to waitrose for the sushi as i love it too, not sure about points in other supermarkets, guess we could find out. let you know if i do.

Take care

It's because I wasn't doing really well before Xmas either, then I manged to do about 5 days before failing miserably, lol. I know I can do it when I get my ass into gear though, and I know you can do it too :)

I totally agree, dont worry and enjoy the rest of your week! youve done so well, you deserve a break. This break will also mean you are back full force next week which is good. I usually make up a risotto for lunch. It keeps you full all day!! Today I had the spicy lentil soup from WW, its so nice and only 1.5 points for the whole tin!! Not watery or anything, really nice!!

Thank you Super Jen :) Oooh, love risotto, shall take that in my flask :D

How about Jess is a failure at being a failure? ;) Is that ok? Thanks for having faith in me, team matey!

See, we know that you'll be 100% back on it on Monday :D

I love having ryvita, extra light Philly and ham for lunch - they do mini tubs of Philly which is really handy (but kind of expensive )

xx

one day does not make you a failure Jess! everyone has off days.. you only fail if those days become 2, 3, 4 days.. a week, a month.. you get my drift.

pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back in the game! *hugs* xxx

Well I'm making the most of my time off!

Yesterday I ate TWO quarter pounders, one at lunch one when I finished work as it was sitting there all alone looking really sad. I didn't want it to go in the bin! I had a pack of onion rings, which I hate eating because I can never bite through the onion bit and always look silly trying to tug it out of my mouth or have to stuff the whole thing in :p A small fries, a chocolate muffin, some crisps and dip. I had a subway today, chocolate, cake, more crisps, pizza tonight. Roast dinner, banoffee pie, cooked breakfast tomorrow. I've had chippy chips as well and just generally loads of crap. It's going to be a big gain, but meh, I don't care! I'm not disgusted with my body since entering the 11s (well, clothed anyway!), I'm near my healthy BMI. Next Monday will be all different :)

forgot to say jess, took girls to mcd's yest and saw pic of the little italian we were talking about the other day. Even on the picture it looks tiny!! :eek:dont think one on its own would 'do the job'
ps i just had a black coffee:)

Hi Jess, when I read your posts it reminded me of this poem that my lovely dad gave to me years ago - it was his philosophy for life and I try to make it mine too. Sorry if its a bit slushy but, for me, it sums up what you are going through.

good luck gorgeous. that 11 7 is not as elusive as you think.

Rosie xx

The Race

"Quit, give up, you're beaten"
They shout at you and plead
"There's just too much against you
This time you can't succeed".

And as I start to hang my head
In front of failures face
My downward fall is broken by
The memory of a race

And hope refills my weakened will
As I recall that scene
Or just the thought of that short race
Rejuvenates my being

Childrens race, young boys
Young men, how I remember well
Excitement sure, but also fear
It wasn't hard to tell

They all lined up so full of hope
Each thought to win that race
Or tie for first, or if not that
At least take second place

The fathers watched from off the side
Each cheering for his son
And each boy hoped to show his dad
That he could be the one

The whistle blew and off they went
Young hearts and hopes afire
To win and be the hero there
Was each young boys desire

And one boy in particular
Whose dad was in the crowd
Was running near the lead and thought
"My dad will be so proud"

But as they speeded down the field
Across a shallow dip
The little boy who thought to win
Lost his step and slipped

Trying hard to catch himself
With hands flew out to brace
And amid the laughter of the crowd
He fell flat on his face

But as he fell his dad stood up
And showed his anxious face
Which to the boy so clearly said
"Get up and win the race"

He quickly rose, no damage done
Behind a bit that's all
And ran with all his night and mind
To make up for the fall

So anxious to restore himself
To catch up and to win
His mind went faster than his legs
He slipped and fell again

He wised then that he had quit before
With only one disgrace
"I'm hopeless as a runner now
I shouldn't try to race"

But in the laughing crowd he searched
And found his fathers face
That steady look which said again
"Get up and win the race"

So up he jumped to try again
Ten yards behind the last
If I'm going to gain those yards he though
I've got to move real fast

Exerting everything he had
He regained eight or ten
But trying hard to catch the lead
He slipped and fell again

Defeat, he lay there silently
A tear dropped from his eye
There's no sense running anymore
Three strikes, I'm out, why try?

The will to rise had disappeared
All hope had fled away
So far behind so error prone
A loser all the way

"I've lost, so what", he thought
I'll live with my disgrace
But then he thought about his dad
Whom soon he'd have to face

"Get up" the echo sounded low
"Get up" and take your place
You were not meant for failure here
"Get up", and win the race

With borrowed will "Get up" it said
"You haven't lost at all"
For winning is no more than this
To rise each time you fall

So up he rose to run once more
And with a new commit
He resolved, that win or lose
At least he shouldn't quit

So far behind the others now
The most he'd ever been
Still he'd give it all he had
And run as though to win

Three times he'd fallen, stumbling
Three times he'd rose again
Too far behind to hope to win
He still ran to the end

They cheered the winning runner
As he crossed the line first place
Head high and proud and happy
No falling, no disgrace

But when the fallen youngster
Crossed the line, last place
The crowd gave him the greater cheer
For finishing the race

And even though he came in last
With head bent low, unproud
You would have thought he'd won the race
To listen to the crowd

And to his dad he sadly said
"I didn't do too well"
"To me you won", his father said
"You rose each time you fell"

Aww, that's so nice Rosie :) Thanks for that.

2.5lb gain, which considering the amount I've eaten isn't too bad. Back to it 100% today and I'm going to stick to 21 points on work days as well for a little extra calorie burning. If I can lose 3lb again I'll have lost it all and then some by next week :)

Gotta got to work now, eurgh.

good luck for your coming week Jess, your plan for work days sounds a good one so I hope you have a good WI next monday :) x

Good for you, jess. I am in mc d's for the 3rd time I'm 4 days. Salad all the way though . I actuallyreally like them . It's really hard to type on an iPod. Well for an old bird like me anyway.

Enjoy your work. X x

Back to it and much easier this time. Probably because I'm sick of stuffing my face!

Breakfast: None (really need to rise from my pit earlier)
Lunch: Salsa snack wrap + fries (11)
Dinner: Chicken breast sub with bbq and lite mayo (6), s&v crisps (3)

20 points! I even managed to save one! Though I think I put too many fries in the box, so I'm not going to eat it.

Got some vegetarian sushi from Tesco for lunch tomorrow and a lighter choices lasagne for lunch Wednesday :D
