Love the idea of being able to record the progress, so apologies for the ramblings in advance ;)

I did Lighterlife about 7 years ago so I kind of know what to expect with Exante and I'm hoping I can maintain this to achieve my goals.

1st Goal is to loose 20lb before 6th March. We fly to Italy on 7th March to stay with our friends for a weeks holiday. I haven't been out to Italy for 6 years and last time I was there I was 5 stone lighter

2nd Goal is to loose another 10lb before 10th April as that's the day I turn 40 :flirt2: I really want to be be able to wear a size 16 dress for my birthday...

7th Jan is day one and so far I've had a banana shake which was ok.

I think my hardest challenge this week is going to be going without milk in my tea. I'm a real tea addict and normally have 5 or 6 cups during the working day.... so far I've had 2 cups of black tea. Not great but not too bad either, hopefully I'll get used to it.

Hhmmmm.... Toffee, nut & raisin bar taste a little bit like sawdust :sigh:

Thai chicken soup :) yum yum yum.... I really enjoyed that!

Suffered a bit this afternoon about 3pm as felt really really hungry... stuck with it though and had a black coffee instead.

Hi karla, If you did it with LL you can do it again. I did find restarting a bit harder the second time round but have found contributing on this forum really dose help keep you on track. All your goals are achievable its just getting through the early days that the hardest as I'm sure you remember. So lots of water & keep busy so that you are not tempted. 1st day is over already, hope tomorrow is ok.

    Thanks Susie :)

Onto day two and feeling pretty good. Strawberry milkshake this morning and it was really nice so at least I know there are going to be a fair selection that I actually like on this diet. i remember only liking about 3 of the meals on LL, the rest were horrid. makes it really difficult having the same thing every single day!

I've told a few more people that I'm doing the diet now and I think it's going to help. i was reluctant at first as once you've made it public there is no going back and I didn't want anyone to see me as a failure.... but I'm looking at that differently now and the more people that know means I can't let them down and it's spurring me on some more. I'm sure I'll get a few negative reactions as people always think they know best for you, but I'll handle that as when & if it happens.

Morning Karla. Its funny how everyone's tastes differ. I really struggle with the strawberry, so much so that I have started to mix it with the chocolate one. I seem to get a strange after taste with that flavour. When I was on LL all I had was the Thai curry soup but cant eat that now.
Good that you have told people & I know what you mean about some peoples negativity but at the end of the day you are doing the diet for you not anybody else. Anyway you cant please everyone so don't take any notice if it happens. Use that negativity as a source of motivation, will feel so good as the weight starts dropping off.

I hated the thai soup on LL the only ones I could stomach were the chicken & the veg ones. I mainly stuck to shakes & bars with LL though. I used to make a muffin with the choc milkshake on LL and I'm going to see if I can still do that with the exante one. Never liked choc milkshake and the muffins were always really tasty.

I've just eaten a third of the choc orange bar that I've brought to work for lunch. It's killed teh hunger cravings for now so that's good and it was much nicer than the nut & raisin one from yesterday.

    Hi Karla

Good luck with day 2! I'm sure ul ace it :) I must be mad, because I think the meals n soups etc are great. I feel like I'm having a little treat. Sad, I know!

I've not told many people Im on this diet. Just gonna let the weight slip off and act surprised and say "I stopped taking a sugar in my tea, that's how I've lost 4 stones :) " just kidding. ill be exercising, so people will thinks that's the reason.

Hope today is good for you!

How nice would it beTH if we could lose 4s by just leaving the sugar out.

If only loosing weight was as easy as gaining it!

Veg soup for me tonight and again I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. So far everything has been pretty much ok.

Most evenings I work in my sewing room but decided on a night off tonight just to chill and watch the tele.... oh my god I'm so bored and all I can think about is food :(

Keeping busy really is going to be the key for me.

Hi Karla you've been doing great well done. Banish those food thoughts, I find that the really bad night is usually the night before ketosis, might just be me. You have done it before so you can and will do it again. You will feel great 20lb+ lighter in Italy - focus on that image :) x

Well done for getting through your first day yesterday. Keep focusing on why you decided to do this in the first place. It will get easier after the first week as you probably know. Good luck hun xx

Thanks ladies, I really appreciate the support x

Onto day 3 :) I've decided to change my morning routine a little as I was having my first shake too early which meant I was hungry during the day. So today I've made a mousse from the vanilla shake and it's in the fridge at work ready for me to eat in an hour or so. I start work between 7.30-8am everyday and it's not easy to make up a shake at work so I had been making them up at home and drinking them on the way to work... Oh well I see how this goes - I hope it's ok to leave the mousse this long

I think I need to order some of the drink flavours and maybe the coffees as I'm struggling with wanting something else to drink... I normally drink 3-4 pints of water a day so that is never a problem but I really, really miss fizzy drinks and I hate fizzy water :(

Hubby had a pint of pineapple & lemonade last night and I could have mugged him for it

Vanilla mousse was great :) :) I may have added a little too much mousse powder as it was very thick, or it may have been because I left it in the fridge for about an hour. Either way I'll tweak it a little and find the best way to make it over the next couple of days.

I think I've made a HUGE error on my weight :eek: In fact I'm pretty sure I have.... I weighed myself last week when I first ordered the exante food packs so didn't bother on Tuesday morning when I first started. I hate getting on the scales which is the main reason why I gained all the weight again since doing LL

Anyway when I started I put my weight down as 15s 13lb, but I've just gone onto the exante website to order some drink flavourings and there on my profile is my weigh as 16s 13lb  I was obviously in denial on Tuesday putting 15s thinking I wasn't as big as I really am:cry: Bit gutted really as my journey is going to be a lot longer than originally thought *sigh* but I'm on the journey now so beign an extra stone isn't a major..

The problem now is that I'm at work so can't weigh myself to check and to be honest I really don't want to either.... not because I know it'll be in the 16stones but I really didn't want to know how much I've lost so far as I wanted to wait for the first weigh in next week :( Bugger, not sure what to do now...

    Feeling totally deflated now :(

Got home from work early so decided to take a couple of dogs for a long walk. When I got back I went to wash my hands and whilst in the bathroom I thught I may as well get on the scales....

I was right, starting weight was 16s 13lb :( and even more disappointingly I've only lost 1.5lb :(

I know it's only day 3, but I was hoping for more than that. So, now I feel useless and like quitting.... I won't though as I can't bear to look in the mirror anymore so something has to seriously change.

I've just poured myself a coke zero to see if that helps

Don't quit Karla, it is early days yet & you have weighed your self in the afternoon. The weight differs significantly in the morning so that would have made a difference. Stick with it, I know its hard but what is the alternative.

Gosh no, don't go near scales after morning. I did that last time on this diet and I would always be 4-6lb heavier honestly! You will have lost more, and besides, those numbers don't rule you. The diet will do it all just stick with it and you can't go wrong x

Big hugs Karla. Stay strong honey. Like Minnie says, stick with it and u will lose. Ignore the scales.

I hope you're right ladies.. I might weigh again in the morning and see how that is.

Feeling slightly more encouraged now... In my desperation to just eat something I settled on a picked onion and a glass of diet coke!! At least it shouldn't kick out the work I've done in the last 3 days.

I've had a red bean chilli meal for dinner and it was pretty ok - not lovely - but bearable and I actually feel like I've had a meal so my mind is not insisting I cheat anymore ;)

Thanks again for the words of encouragement..

Good that the pack has satisfied you tonight. Why don't you try to delay getting on the scales till your week is complete. That way you will be in for a nice surprise.
