Ok so I had a bad day yesterday and had to go to the gp as I had such bad pains! he just had a go and said that is because you are on one of those fad diets and your anorexic. I said that I have it through my GP. but they didnt listen! I went to my GP this am and she said its a wee infection and i would have got it either way and she was soooo angry with the other GP. I was soo worried I would have to come off lipo! but its cool she said carry on here some antibiotics and drink more water lol! not sure if that is possible already on 6 and half litres!! lol xxxxx

Drink lots and lots and lots of water. You too Tracy. There was a worry at one time about Atkins and Kidney problems....it is something to do with Ketosis. If I was you Tracy I'd look into whether you should be doing the diet.............its not worth risking your health. When you started the diet and filled in the questionaire, did you tell the Pharmisist you only had one kidney?

My GP had never heard of Lipotrim. I took the bag in and he was fuming he'd not been told about it as he knows lots of people it would be suitable for. It just goes to show, it all depends on your particular GP.....mine is obviously quite open-minded.

    hi hope,
glad you have ONE supportive GP - you'd think they should all sing from the same hymn sheet - obviously not!!
funnily enough i wonder whether i have an issue with my kidneys - if i havn't drunk water for a little while (a couple of hours) my back really aches just around where my kidneys are - i drink a pint of water and i'm fine again - it's as if they talk to me - hope it's nothing more synister!
as for drinking more water - you might need to move a sleeping bag into your bathroom coz ul be in there every twenty minutes with more than 6.5 litres lol!!
    get well soon

The pharmasist knows who can do the diet and who cannot. So the diet mustn't do any harm to the kidneys otherwise there is no way you'd be allowed to go on it.

    Good to know.

    Hi all!
Tracy I was worried too cos I had really bad kidney probs when I was a kid, had a massive op and was in hosp for weeks-where I ate cakes, biscuits and wobbled out 3 stone heavier!-
But I have one really bad kidney, almost doesn't work like but I've had no problems. One day weeks back I was getting really bad pains but I was told it was just my kidneys and body getting used to so much water. I used to get very sore pains in my bad kidney but since starting this (and after that one day) I haven't felt even a twinge which is mad!!

Aw foreverhope you poor thing, I know the feeling, I HATE kidney infections!!
Feel better and heat the water slighty as it's better than shocking your kidneys with ice cold water.

    xxx

Hey people.... well I had more bad news today when my blood results came back 'alarmingly' abnormal. well had to go straight to hospital scan bloods etc... and see head consultant bloke. Well I have huge amounts of stones in my gall bladder! nothing to do with lipo but sometimes happens when you loose weight quickily you develop stones! so grrrrreeeeeat!! I will be having my gall bladder out... on a lighter note i suppose it weighs a few pounds xx

gallstones, the nasty little blighters, , but when the little swines get stuck in the bile duct, that's when you get the most horrendous pain, dieting is good for them.I suffer with them too , but my doctor didn't refer me for surgery told me to lose weight and keep off fatty foods to settle them down, but touch wood since starting this diet I've been pain free thank goodness. My mum had hers removed some years ago and was offered them in a jar as a momento, she refused, I would have kept them I like stuff like that.

I am not sure If I will be offered id have a look but not keep! I have to have daily bloods at the moment! because my system is rubbish at the moment! But its nothing to do with lipo so at least I can stay on it! they weighed me as well today and I lost 5 so I am happy about that xx

Foreverhope you've lost so much weight, you must look like a completely different person. Have people you know walked straight past you in the street and not recognised you?

Yes thanks, I am really starting to feel the benefits of losing the weight. I can walk and talk at the same time, my ankles don't seem to be swelling like they used to, my clothes are falling off me, I'm fitting quite comfortably into 14 jeans 16 tops, had to buy new bras etc, but am enjoying myself at the mo. People can't believe I've not eaten a morsel of food for the past 8 weeks, think I'm stupid, but I don't care, I feel good. My sister told me to do slimming world, she's lost 1st 7lb in seven months, she nearly fell through the floor when I told her I'd lost 2st 5 in eight weeks. Anyway foreverhope you are doing amazingly and it just inspires me even more when people have achieved what you have achieved. Well done you. xx
