Happy new year to all!

Im so excited that its Jan 1st today!

I had to come off abstinence for just over a day (again) but right now I feel as excited/motivated as when I started Foundation. I think a fair portion of it is down to the fact that im doing this alongside so many of you all!!

Wishing you all success in 2007

2007 has started and if you all feel the same way i do this is the year we succeed :D .

I haven't posted for a while as I don't start until the 8th Jan but it's all set now - I've met my Counsellor who seems very efficient and I'm raring to go. I feel really confident this time and it'll be great having all your company along the way too.

I'm hoping to lose 6stone+ - I don't know what my ideal weight is coz I've never achieved it before...there is a first time for everything!!!!

Hi everybody - Happy New Year!

So..... I drove the 38 miles to my Counsellor on Thursday night, and when I arrived the place was all locked up and in darkness. So I waited, and I waited, and I waited ......

No Show by Counsellor!!!!!

What a start eh?

It looked as though she had contactd the rest of her class to cancel apart from me, because I was the only one waiting. That is, however, until a lady arrived who had achieved her target weight but wanted a few sachets to see her through New Year but was not one of the usual class and therefore did not know class was cancelled.

To cut a long story, no sorry - wait, short this lady told me about another diet that her sister had just started and when she looked at ingredients on sachet packets was the samae as Lighter Life. So, drove 38 miles home and following day contacted supplier of "other diet".

This turned out to be Lipotrim and I have now been on it for 5 days. Don't think I will bother going back to Lighter Life counsellor incase same thing happens (and far too long a journey to risk that again). Lipotrim supplier only 10 mins away. Downside is that drinks and flapjacks taste awful!

Never mind - 10lbs lost in first 5 days :)

How you all doing?

That's really shocking! She shouldn't cancel a group really - there should be a locum provided and how rude not to let you know.
I have a great LLC and the counselling is fantastic if you get a good one. Well worth the extra cost in that case. But if they're rubbish you're better off saving your money and going for Lipotrim. best of luck with it.

:D Good luck everyone starting in January! I restarted yesterday but I hope this is my last restart!!

After a couple of false starts (moving house and a load of other stuff), I've finally found a counsellor in my new area, and been for the intro session.

Unfortunately, because I'm in a new area, I have a new GP. Who's very anti-LL (told me that 'if I want to lose weight I can do it the 'normal' way like everyone else') and refused to sign the form until my medical records arrive from previous GP.

I've since seen a private doctor who's signed on the dotted line (for a ridiculous fee) and I'm hopefully ready to go. But my LLCs first class doesn't start for another fortnight. So I'm constantly having 'last suppers' whilst I wait - will be another stone heavier by then!

Had my first class last night. Seems like a good bunch of women. I have had the raspberry shake and veg soup so far and they were OK.

Had 3 litres of water and feel like my insides are drowning and I am typing this to take my mind off the hunger!!!!

It has to get better am avoiding the kitchen cos the food looks very tempting

Jo

Keep at it Jo. I am on week 11 and have lost 3 stone. The first couple of weeks are the toughest. I felt pretty rubbish but I tell you now I am soooo glad I stuck with it. I had about the same to lose as you and have only 24lbs to go now.

The water is a killer but well worth it. My weight loss averaged 4.5lbs a week while I was sticking to the water. You just have to keep a glass next to you all the time and keep topping it up. I found water at room temperature is easier to drink in large quanitities than really cold stuff. Don't forget hot drinks too they can help! I'm a sucker for peppermint tea.

The hunger will pass. Go for a walk or get out of the house for a bit. I find distraction a really good approach. In my first week I had a couple of days in bed because I felt rubbish but just go with it - it gets heck of a lot easier - and it does work!

Look at Now or Never - 10lbs in 5 days - what a fantastic loss - big well done!

I'm re-starting today, my class will be on Thu at 6pm... Glad to be back to the structure 2l water downed along with 1 pack. 2007 here we come xxx

Hi Everyone - Really good to read about everyone's enthusiasm and good luck to all those starting or restarting in January. Fingers crossed I'm due to meet with my new LLC (had a false start with one LLC before christmas - lost my medical form and now her mobile no is unailable - most mysterious!) on Friday 12 Jan and cannot wait.
Cheers,
Greavsie

Hi everybody

Nice to see some more new names on this thread - we have a nice crowd here - WELCOME.

Thanks so much for your encouragement "Cake N Eat It" - 10 lbs loss was showing on scale two days ago, but I have my first weigh in tonight so lets keep fingers crossed it was right.

Jo - believe me, the hunger does go away. I literally woke up on Tuesday and felt completely different - no hunger, more energy and, what was so suprising but wonderful, was that I was feeling so much more positive in my mind. Not jut about the diet, but about other aspects in my life as well. Felt like a dark cloud had shifted. FAB! This positive feeling is spurning me to make dramatic changes to my life i.e. becoming self-employed again and getting rid of my boring, unsatisfying desk job that I have now. This clear thinking is also making me realise how lucky I am in other areas of my life - e.g. my husband is one in a million, I love our new house, we have so much to look forward to in the future etc etc etc.

I don't mean to sound demented but this diet suddenly seems to mean much more than simply losing weight. It gives you confidence, a clear mind and belief in yourself again.

I have similar amount of weight to lose as you - come on, keep out of that kitchen - WE CAN DO IT!

Clucks - How has your first day gone?

Zareena - Well done for getting back on the horse as it were. Forget about previous attempt(s) this is it - you WILL do it this time - you will breeze through it!

VirgoGirl - Hold on in there - 2 wks and counting!

Mike - Welcome to this thread my dear. You are in safe hands! Keep us posted on how you are getting on.

Greavsie - Sorry to hear about false start with original LLC. Nevermind, at least you are starting with a good one now. Keep us posted on progress.

FallenAngel - I know LLC very unprofessional for not showing up. Didn't even have a message on my old mobile (incase she rang I checked it today). Hey Ho, thats the way it goes. I am still going to stick with this thread eventhough I am now an official "Lipotrimmer". It will be interesting to see if there are any differences between the two diets (apart from the limited choice of food on Lipotrim compared to LL). Good luck to you and please post us on your progress

Finally, to all fellow threaders from start of thread - HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING? Come on, let us all share your success and tell us how you are doing.

Speak soon,

FIRST DAY ON LIGHTER LIFE

Hi everyone,

I am new to this group & new to Lighter Life - started today. I have to say I have messed up already as I made up my shake & soup & brought them to work with me, not realising you need to consume within 15 mins!!! Oh dear not a good start.:(

I am managing to drink plenty of water and have drunk 2 litres already - 2 more to go!!!:)

This diet is my only hope and so I pray it works, I need to lose about 5 or 6 stone to get to my dream weight.

Fingers crossed.

Hi All, hope everyone has had a good day!!

Had my first session last night and picked up my packs. What a lovely bunch of ladies with a very similar worry, "What no Wine!!"

My day has been O.K, had a Vanilla shake for breakfast (OK), Chicken soup for lunch (great with loads of pepper) and just had veg soup with red tabasco (really enjoyed that one), must be dillousional (spelling:eek: )

I am on my 5th litre of water so am pretty much full up. I had a wobbly moment (already I hear you cry!) making my daughters cod, curly fries and beans but had a soak in the bath to try and get away from the smells, it worked.

I have brushed my teeth about 5 times today as not a good taste in my mouth, guess along with a nice slim body I am going to have sparkly pearly whites;)

Nearly the end of the first day of the rest of my life - Yippeeeeeeeeee

love to all,
Tania xxxxxxx
