Hey everyone, just started WW today so here's hoping i can stick with. I gave up smoking in January and piled the weight on between that and xmas. I've only got two (yes two) pairs of trousers left that fit me, and barely fit at that. With summer only around the corner it's time to shake things up a bit. Lol. Any way here it goes. I calculated my allowance at 20points.

Week 1
Day 1 (Mon)

Breakfast:
Sm bowl special k with milk(2.5)

Snack:
Oxtail soup hot cup(0.5)
Snax tayto(1.5)

Lunch:
Salad of, tuna, lettuce, carrot and dressing(3.5)

Popcorn(1)
Tiny bit of beef ravioli(1)

Snack:
Snax taytos(1.5)

Dinner:
Very small portion cottage pie plus lots of extra zero point veg to fill me up(5???)
Mango activia yogurt(2.5)

Drinks:
Tea(0.5)
Half a skinny cow hot chocolate(0.5)
Diet coke(0)
Marmite(0)
Lots of water(0)

Total points used today 20/20

Hi Mary and welcome to Minimins. I too gave up smoking and put some weight on (don't we all? lol). I am with WW and loving it so far, keep posting and read other peoples stories, diaries and food choices, it will really help you x

Breakfast:
Special K (3)

Snack:

Turkey and gherkin sandwich using 2 slices WW Thick brown bread.(3.5)
Snax tayto's(1.5)

Scone(3.5)

Snack:
Apple and an orange(1)

Dinner:
Chicken curry and rice(7)
Sugar free jelly(0)

Drinks:
Diet coke(0)
Tea(0.5)

Points used today 20.5/20

Will update throughout the day.
BTW- I never use butter or mayo on bread i hate it so thats why theres not any included in lunch. :)

Was 0.5 points over today but i'm not really worried as i was on the trampoline for 20mins today which i seriously thought i wouldn't recover from. You'd swear i was 55, not 25 ha ha. I had to lay down for a few minutes on it before i dared get off. It's some workout. Also went for a little walk, about a mile i'd say. Don't know if i even earned activity points as i know nothing about these.

I don't know about activity points either, but figured if I am doing exercise and not having extra points it can only be a good thing lol! I do 30 mins a night on My Fitness coach on the WII, it hurts real bad lol

No pain no gain,(or loss more to the point). I was thinking of investing in a wii for that exact purpose, so i take your comment as a recommendation then ha ha.

I've been feeling great these last two days eating carbs again, i really hope i can still lose weight on WW while still eating them. I'm finding having breakfast a real pain, i haven't ate breakfast since i was 14 or 15. I'll keep it up for this week any way to see how i get on.

Hun If you don't want to eat Breakfast then I wouldn't force yourself to. Although it is 'recommended' that you eat 3 meals a day, you don't have to. I skip Brekky all the time and I've still lost weight. I think you need to do whatever is best for you.
Looks like you are doing really well! Fingers crossed for your first weigh in.

Thanks cookies. I'm skipping it tomorrow as i'm sick of wasting points on it. Might just have a yogurt just to say i did have something.
I'm dreading my first weigh in. I hope its good as even a little loss gives so much confidence and drive to keep going.


Over again today but i'll try keep it at 18.5 tomorrow.

One word to describe my day......... DISASTER!!

I went to the shops with all good intentions this morning and stocked up on delish low point treats for the next week. Curiously i had a nibble here and there of things i hadn't tried, just to "test" them. Ye right! I now know i've no self control what so ever when i comes to treats! I ate 26-30 points (i lost count) of pure junk!! I now just feel sluggish and bloated and not at all satisfied. I'm devastated. Shame on me.

But that was today. There is nothing i can do to change it. Bring on tomorrow- i'm not going to let this slip get me down. I'm determined to make my first goal loss on target.

Enough with my rant. Hope everyone is happy and well.

exactly! we all slip up from time to time.... the worst thing you can do is to dwell on it. When I idd WW before I would slip up and go over only a couple of points... It used to send me in to shame spiral and last a week! so instead of rectiying it by cutting back slightly or upping my exercise... it would spin out of control

Good luck!! your doing just fine :D

Hey everyone. I've a loss of 3lbs to report. I was hoping for 4 but with mothers day and my naughty munching during the week i'm very glad to have lost anything at all.
I'm trying to walk everyday this week to up my exercise. Good luck for this week everyone.

I was away over the weekend for a wedding and tried to be good;) but enjoyed myself too lol!

I will be having my first weigh in on Thursday.

Are you eating many veggies/salads with your meals?

I tend to have breakfast, I never used to until I started dieting, but enjoying cornflakes for 1 1/2 point (+ 2pt milk all day) I am so far finding it stretchs well
