MWWWD (or Moonwatcher's Weight Watchers Diary!)

Food for today, Wednesday 9th October

Breakfast - yogurt with my rice and fruit mix, two cups of earl grey with milk

Mid morning - 1 ounce of tropical dried fruit mix and a coffee with milk

Lunch - pizza, same as last night's dinner - made extra, ready for today, cherry tomatoes, packet of cheese and onion crisps and five prunes (out of fresh fruit, but five prunes = 100 cals. Eeek! Think I may just take extra cherry toms instead!)

In the office after school - 3 Thornton's collection sweets, brought back by a pupil from their holiday

At home after school - gluten free ginger cake slice, coffee and cream

Dinner - three gluten free sausages, baked beans, mash and fried onion, jack daniel's bbq sauce

To test it out - half a thin sliver of the home made gluten free fruit cake with a little butter. Was pretty good - OH said it tasted like cake. Oh well, that's alright then!

Water

Cals were 2090/2160 before the fruit cake. Haven't worked the calories out for it yet, but I reckon MFP and I can call it quits today!

Hey MW! Glad the Cake tasted like Cake ;-) Ive never heard of putting butter on cake tho! The Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce sounds nice, I'm loving BBQ Sauce at the minute, have got the Reggae Reggae BBQ Sauce in my fridge and been putting it on everything! X

We have butter on cake down here in cornwall!! Mainly scones, and fruit loafs and malt loaf and saffron cake!! Yum!!!

Food looking great MW xxx

Mmmmmm - sausages, beans and mash sound like an epically good dinner :) Especially since my OH loathes both mash and beans so I rarely get them.

I do wonder if the tiredness is more likely the result of everything you have had going on rather than the reset. But a few changes to food *might* help with it, so might be worth a try looking at the things you've mentioned.

It was more like a fruit loaf, so much better with butter! I love Reggae Reggae sauce, but can't have it now as it has wheat in it! :((

Never tried saffron cake. Probably a silly question, but does it have saffron in it?

It was very good. I think sometimes only mash will do!

I tried an experiment today - cheese triangle between two pieces of crispbread, left it in the lunchbox to check it out on return from work. Er..- very soggy, not a success, so will have to rethink that one. Might work with Mrs Crimble's crackers instead. Fortunately I had my morning snack at home after Doctor's appointment, so could have non soggy crispbread with cheese triangles then!

I always have to foil wrap my crackers, and take a knife for cheese triangle! Can't do soggy lol x I never knew RR Sauce had Wheat in! Shocked! X

Phew Serena, you are so quick with your replies. How many pairs of hands do you have? Tee hee! I have just edited my last post as the power went off in the middle of typing it, so the WiFi went off and I lost some of what I had typed!

I have one hand for Minimins and another one for picking my nose ;-) x

No, it looked pretty revolting. I didn't actually taste it as I could tell by feeling it that it wad a no go. Break is too short to assemble crackers though, so will have to try something else,

I know - HP ordinary sauce also has it in, but most of their other flavours are OK. Nothing is quite as good as the original though. Oh well, just got to live with it. There are a lot worse things in life than having to experiment with other sauces I suppose!

Hehe. This really made me splutter my water over my 'phone. Good excuse to clean the screen!

Glad to be of service ;-) PS-Did u watch GBBO this week? It was a 'Free From' week and it made me think of you! X

So, update for Thursday 10th October

Blood test this morning so had a bit of a lie in, then had yogurt with rice/fruit mix and a cup of earl grey tea with milk for breakfast

My boss had covered me for all three morning lessons, but Doctor's was running bang on time, so rang her and let her know I would be in for period 3, and then put the kettle on for another quick cuppa - vanilla chai with milk, and 2 buckwheat crackers with 2 cheese triangles.

Lunch - 2 pieces of gluten free brown bread made into a sausage sandwich with one gluten free sausage (cooked last night), a scraping of mayo and some Heinz BBQ sauce, loads of cherry toms, 4 prunes, a packet of salt and vinegar crisps, a cup of earl grey with milk

At home after work - one slice of my gluten free fruit loaf (worked it out to 166 cals a slice (10th of the loaf) with a little butter, cup of earl grey with milk

Tesco visit next to stock up on fresh fruit, a few veggies and cheese. Happy to report the spare fridge now has feta, extra mature cheddar, brie, cream cheese and chilli roule in situ.

Marston's pub meal of beef and blacksticks blue casserole (beef casserole with a blue cheese gravy), mash and veg, followed by half a choc nut sundae and a mini flake (shared this with the OH) and a cappucino. Not sure of calories on this, so the best I could do was a beef casserole with extra calories added for the blue cheese, a Harvester portion of mash, as I guess a lot of these pub chains work to similar portion sizes, and I calculated the veg separately. Then I added a chocolate ice -cream sundae without nuts and added the nuts and flake in separately. I'm sure that is close enough. Have just realised I have over calculated my crisps all week, as they are a 25g multipack size, and I have been counting the 32.5g normal pack size, so that will help a bit with any under calculating too.

Calories 2206/2160 (+40 cals, or more, or maybe less!) Will not stress about it!

Hey MW, When will u get the results from your Blood Tests? It's surprising how much food you can pack in for just over 2200 Calories! I guess it's because I haven't eaten 'normally' in so long that it looks such a lot to me! I'm particularly liking the sound of the Cheese Stash, it sounds better than most supermarkets round here ;-) Hope u have a fab Friday! X

Mmmmm! The beef casserole sounds delish!!! And the cheese stash, currently craving a bacon sarnie with cheese and ketchup lol!

That casserole with stilton gravy does sound gorgeous. That will be coming to a household near me soon... The cheese stash is also very impressive sounding. Found a rather exciting new cheese in Morrisons tonight - "bonfire cheddar" apparently it has smoked flavouring and sundried tomatoes and onions. Haven't tried it yet but sounds pretty good to me. I am making slow cooked pork at the weekend so that might appear with some of the cheese in wraps later in the week.

How did the blood tests go? How long to wait for the results?

I think you're right Serena - we're used to dieting portions, although I have to say I found WW the best for being able to eat well and enjoyably. Last night before I worked out the calories for the pub meal I was sure that I would be loads over, and was really surprised to see that it all 'fitted in.' Will probably be about a week for bloods results, although the specialist nurse gave me a fright this afternoon when she rang me. I thought she was ringing quickly with results she had had faxed through, which would not have been good news only the day after having them done! She was just ringing to check I had had the test done though! Forgot to mention 2 tubs of chilli Philadelphia too!

It was gorgeous. OH had steak and ale pie, but mine was so tasty I didn't miss the pastry at all! Love bacon and cheese together too.

Oh I like the sound of that cheese. Haven't had smoked feta for a while either so a Morisson's cheese trip may be on the agenda.

Probably about a week for bloods results. Hoping that will be the end of it.

I'm definitely enjoying the portions on WW, oink oink! X
