My Blue Jeans Dukan Mission...

Thanks for that Andi I may whip that up tonight. Was low this morning when I saw the scales go the wrong way (up a pound ),think I will weight everyday this week then revert to Mondays and Thursdays. On my second pv day I enjoyed some courgettes and baby tomatoes but again don't think I'm eating enough. I opening my own diary page to keep myself going

Great thread... I must subscribe to it else I don't see you on my mobile! Lovely to see some recipes coming back that I've not tried for ages (and I know what you mean re other people not understanding how we can eat such things when they taste so heavenly to deprived from proper desserts Dukaners!). I'm also interested to see that you're getting away with having the wheatbran and the sausages so, on a PV day, your carbs must be higher than usual. I like to see this sort of thing as it'll make "real life" so much easier thereafter!

PS if the banana flavouring has been discontinued by Dukan, you might find it in Ebay or the like when people pass on those they don't like! Or google "food flavourings" and find the banana one. It'll probably be far cheaper than using the Dukan site anyway. In my day, before the Dukan store opened, I bought my flavourings in a specialist cookery ingredients shop. (I didn't like any of them mind and gave them all to a fellow Dukaner but that's another story!!)

Thanks!!! I'll will certainly try eBay for the flavourings...I shop on eBay for nearly everything else...I don't know why I don't think of getting flavourings on there!! Bought some liquid sweetener from amazon yesterday & was shocked at the price...but have got to make the gingerbread cake recipe I've seen...

well ill I use my wheat bran as a tolerated item, and yep, the sausages work amazing for me :0 they are my new ham!!

i will keep on posting, things are going good but I must remember that when things go pear shaped to keep on posting :)

Ok long day in work, but I'm safer in work on dukan, if I don't take it to work I can't eat it!!

Day 17 - PP

B - porridge
L - 4 sausages
S - 1 babybel light & 6 slices of sponge!
D - mince herbs onions oxo bit of cornflour

tea, water, I don't know if I've hit my 1.5 today, I don't think so :( so much for yesterday's note to self!!!! I couldn't face doing a straight 1.5 litres of water and my tea on top today, I literally went for about 30 pees yesterday & 2 in the night tmi, but it was annoying me.....plus didn't have time to do my walk...but Zumba tomorrow :) feeling better about my body today also which is good, I'm sure my back fat is getting less....looking forward to my 30 day shred arriving soon :0

Which sausages you eating ? I have some turkey ones in freezer but I'm not so sure that they are low fat

I only buy sainsburys 3% fat Cumberland sausages. Are you in the U.K? The way I figure it that dukan allows 4% fat in ham then I can have these :) I know they have some carbs in them, but I've done dukan with & without them & lost more weight quicker on these sausages...

i pour our some sunflower or veg oil in a frying pan, mop most of oil off with kitchen roll, then fry turning regularly. I haven't tried them grilled though. Good luck...

Rubbish sleep, but day off work today so can't really complain! Plan is beef casserole making & sponge making whilst trying to entertain kids :eek: am going to attempt to make parsnip crisps as well because I really miss the crunch with dukan... Never made them before so I'll let you all know how they turn out!!!!

Day 18 went like this...PV

B - porridge
L - beef casserole
S - 1 slice of ham & 1 babybel
D - chilli & cauliflower rice
S - sponge

totally knackered as even though I haven't been working, I haven't stopped today. Made beef casserole & 2 chocolate sponges, had to be organised for my 2 afternoon shifts coming up :( I hate these because I usually haven't got time to do my walk before I go, although I could do a 30 minute walk in my meal break the thought of walking round an industrial estate at 10pm doesn't really inspire me :/

oh yeah & went to Zumba instead of the walk. Had my first pang of craving just now. I went to get the milk out of the fridge and saw a single can of ice cold Stella & thought mmmmmmmmm I would love that. Then I came out of my daydream & thought, oh I remembered, I don't drink alcohol anymore, I'm on the dukan :(

day 19 is going to be..PP

S chocolate sponge

S babybel

determined to do my walk in my meal break in work later....disappointed with my sponges though...didn't use my usual Aldi sweetner and bought hermesteas, which is not very sweet at all...amazing the difference between all of them!! So I've got not very sweet chocolate sponge for next 4 days, which is the whole point!! :(

ne ne matter...looking forward to my PV day tomorrow!!

update... Did all of the above, 1.5 ltr water, had another babybel, and sugar free werthers originals, cannot wait to weigh!!!! Didn't do my walk, it was hammering with rain!!!

Yeah it's sometimes surprising what some people can get away with on the carb front. You certainly sound in the zone. I'd have thought it'd be easier to get a walk in when you start in the afternoon?

I always complained about the lack of crunch when following Dukan. Crisps are a great idea! Or celery sticks.

I agree with you re it being easier while at work!

also so turned down a boozy lunch with the girls from work!! My bestie is staying over tonight & haven't seen her in person for a year!! And we would usually go out for drinks & food, but we are staying in...at least I'm on a PV day so won't feel too deprived...

determined to to make my parsnip crisps today didn't have time Thursday...

so today will go like this

B - porridge
S sponge
L fish & veg
S sponge and a sausage
D beef casserole
S parsnip crisps

2.5 litres water

BTW I CANNOT WAIT TO WEIGH ON MONDAY!!!!!!!

Ha ha.... That's what my OH just said to me too...bizarre...he's working, kids are over their dad's overnight so I'll only have the dog to ring 999! I've read the reviews & people are saying you think you're gonna die!! But I just wish I wasn't so tired today..sleep related...didn't get in from work til 1:30am & was having very weird dreams so rubbish quality of sleep too......
If i do die, I'll blame you for giving me the idea!!!!! Lol!!!

Omg... My friend who is staying tonight has just informed me that she is bringing over a huge pizza popcorn & lager!!! She knows I'm in the zone, just my first big test..... Better get started on my parsnip crisps!!!

Testing times ! I brought a parnip can I get the crisps recipe ?
 
Ha ha.... I know....ok purple I just googled parsnip crisp recipe and a few have come up, the one I'm going to use is pre heat oven to 180, wash & peel parsnip, shave with a potato peeler from root to tip, then put shavings in a bowl & drizzle with oil, making sure all parts are lightly oiled I'm spraying mine with fry light, then spread in a single layer on a baking sheet on for 10 mins, turning frequently. Take out when brown. She said to season with corse sea salt whilst still hot after you take them out, but I think I'm gonna spray mine with fry light the shake a bit of my Schwartz season all spice stuff I've got before I put them in. If you google dukan parsnip crisps some come up even one you can do in the microwave but I'm sticking to the oven one!!

Ok...I'm still alive after my 30 day shred :)

just!!! Was quite pleased when I put it on because I thought it was an hour long!! 20 minutes I thought...easy

ha ha ha.... Wrong!!!!! It was ok whilst doing it, bit quick to be getting up & down off the floor, however afterwards, omg I felt quite sick, so I had to have 2 sausages to recover....think it's defo doable though!!! My hands were shaking & couldn't even text!!

But out the fact I'm slow & feel very heavy & jiggly is motivation enough to do it again
