Hi I joined SW 5 wks ago. I have lost 1 stone 2lb and would like to lose another 3 and a bit.

I have been reading threads about Scan Bran got my first lot today. Thought i might make the Choc cake! Any advice about Scan Bran? Some messages said don't eat a day before weigh in other say you need to drink LOTS of water.

In the are 4 slices divided into 2, what is 1 portion 1 half or 1 slice?

Well done on your weight loss so far!

Best advice on Scan Bran (aka carpet tiles, compressed chipboard, baked cardboard etc.) don't eat it raw! I like to make it into cakes or soak and add to my porridge for a bit of extra fibre.

I wasn't sure what counts as a portion, i didn't know if mine were just broken when i first got them. I asked my daughter who has also done SW and she reckons 1 square = 1 portion rather than the whole Ryvita shaped slice.

Daughter also has a nice ginger cake recipe which i'll try and get from her and post in recipes.

    Best of luck!
